Abstract

The presence of Saiful Jamil in the Trans Tv Viral Coffee program invited a lot of criticism from the public. Saiful's presence is considered a form of glorification of perpetrators of sexual violence against children, so it is inappropriate to appear in public spaces such as television. This is what causes the emergence of a communication crisis in the Trans Tv media organization so it requires fast and appropriate crisis response steps. Based on the picture above, this study aims to determine the steps of crisis evaluation and crisis response of the Trans Tv organization, in dealing with a communication crisis caused by the emergence of Saiful Jamil in the Viral Coffee program. So basically it can be seen that this research uses a qualitative approach, with the case study method. Data collection is done by way of interviews, documentation, and observation. The data processing method uses the Miles and Huberman technique, with three stages namely, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Meanwhile, the theory used is Situational Communication Crisis Theory, which was introduced by Coombs. The results of this study indicate that the case crisis experienced by Trans TV, is categorized as an intentional crisis, and the crisis response steps used are diminished and rebuilt.

Abstract

In this very modern era, technological developments continue to grow, because technological developments will go according to the development of increasingly high science. Technology was created to provide convenience for human life in carrying out daily activities and provide positive but also negative values. Social media plays a very important role in people's lives. This study aims to determine social media exposure to children's learning concentration in Tegalrejo Village, Mayang District, Jember Regency. This study used a qualitative approach and descriptive data analysis. This qualitative research was conducted by emphasizing the depth of the concept studied empirically. This qualitative research was conducted by collecting data in the form of observation notes, interview notes, field documentation, photographs and other supporting data. The results of the study prove that the existence of social media greatly interferes with children's learning concentration, especially in the village of Tegalrejo, Mayang District, Jember Regency.

Abstract

TikTok is the most popular application today. With this media, everyone can create various forms of short and long videos. Anyone can build his image in the media. One of them is Husein Basyaiban. Through the tiktok platform, Husein builds his image by spreading content that contains Islamic teachings. With the positive self-image he has built, he is able to become a da'wah content creator who is highly sought after today. With the Tiktok media, Husein can build a positive image of himself so far.

Abstract

da'wah is important to maintain the morale of the nation through the messages conveyed. The message conveyed can be expressed explicitly by quoting verses of the Koran or implicitly by explaining the philosophical value of a matter. One of the preachers who uses philosophical values ​​for something is KH Imam Mubasyir. The purpose of this research is to find out how to preach KH Imam Mubasyir so that he is close to the community. This study used a qualitative approach with observation and documentation methods. The data used are KH Imam Mubasyir's lectures which were observed directly or using video. The results of this study indicate that the priest's tradition is redundant in preaching using surrounding objects, themes and conditions at the place of recitation to convey the message of da'wah to the community philosophically. This philosophical meaning is adapted to the understanding of mad'u, who on average work as farmers. This research contributes to the development of message packaging and da'wah methods. Apart from that practically, it is hoped that the da'i will get other alternatives in carrying out his da'wah methods.

Abstract

The success of da'wah is directly proportional to the success of the applied communication. One form of Islam's great concern for communication is that Islam provides an explanation of its rules and ethics. One of the successes of the preaching of the prophets was by applying communication that is persuasive and seducing known as persuasive, but it also applies communication that shows a series of facts and evidence in such a way that is called argumentation ability so that it is called persuasive argumentative communication. Among the argumentative persuasive communications contained in the Qur'an is the dialogue between the Prophet Abraham and adherents of paganism. In this dialogue, there are arguments about the true nature of God that must be worshiped and glorified. Argumentative persuasive communication provides a solution for a preacher who is a communicator in packaging his communication so that the object of his da'wah follows what is conveyed regarding his da'wah. By using persuasive communication techniques that emphasize the psychological and sociological functions contained in the communicant and with argumentation techniques that optimize the function of dialogue wisely with the interlocutor, it will make the da'wah message conveyed able to change the views, attitudes and behavior of the da'wah object or the communicant.

Abstract

Gender inequality is often considered a crucial issue for women's existence in their lives. Where the position of men is super-ordinate and women are subordinate. Basically, gender stratification is the result of construction from patriarchal civilization. This research aims to reveal what kind of structure is built by patriarchal civilization and offers a way out by using the theory of the German philosopher Jurgen Habermas who upholds the values of justice and emancipation. This research is library research. Therefore, the data collected is representative literature data and is relevant to the research object. The results of this research reveal firstly, the fundamental problem of oppression of women because there is a social structure that controls (patriarchy dominance). Second, the way out for women's liberation in the current digital era is in accordance with Habermas' offer through the theory of communication action and developing androgynous traits.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of generation Z in implementing the values of religious moderation in the digital space. The researcher intends to show a social picture of some information related to the behavior of generation Z in the digital space, especially in social media in implementing the values of religious moderation. Generation Z in Indonesia as the largest social media user in fact does not implement the values of religious moderation in their attitude and behavior on social media. This research is a descriptive qualitative research and uses the Library study research method. The results of the author's research explain the phenomenon that shows the low implementation of religious moderation values by generation Z on social media as evidenced by hoaxes, hate speech, and discrimination that are still carried out by Indonesian society. The values of religious moderation as the basis of people's lives should be practiced as guidelines in behaving and behaving in everyday life, including in social media. One of them is by practicing religious life by taking the middle way or how to avoid extreme actions or fanaticism. want division. The role of generation Z in supporting religious moderation is needed, among others, as social control in social media, being moderate or not too fanatical, being a good believer, spreading the importance of religious moderation and inviting in kindness.

Abstract

This study is qualitative research based on a literature review. It addresses the problem of relativism of truth and hegemonic patterns in da'wah communication. In response to this issue, using Gadamer's hermeneutic approach, this research aims to reconstruct the pattern of da'wah communication to moderate the tension between conservatism and progressivism. Moderation takes place at the hermeneutic level, referring to the process of communicators interpreting their reality and the reality of the recipients. This interpretation involves three important moments: 1) Bildung or cultural constellation shaping the interpreter's horizon and referring to the intellectual progress of both communicators and recipients, 2) historical influence as an existential moment for communicators and recipients, clarifying that dialogue must consider context, 3) fusion of horizons showing that there is no final understanding of everything. The most important thing is the endless process.

Abstract

This research aims to further explore the role of women in Islamic preaching communication. The study adopts a qualitative approach with a literature review design. Data collection techniques involve documentation and observation, with analysis utilizing data condensation, data collection, and conclusion drawing. The results of the literature review indicate seven roles of women in Islamic preaching communication. First, women play a role as disseminators of religious messages in their communities. Second, they serve as activists in preaching activities within social and community settings. Third, women also have a significant role in utilizing social media and information technology to disseminate preaching messages. Fourth, they can act as mediators in interfaith and intergroup dialogues, aiming to strengthen tolerance and harmony among religious communities in Indonesia. Fifth, women contribute to educating the younger generation about Islamic values and morals. Sixth, women can also act as agents of change in society through social and political activism based on Islamic principles. Seventh, women can also take on leadership roles in Islamic-based religious and community institutions.

Abstract

Pemilu merupakan mekanisme yang ditempuh dalam sistem demokrasi untuk menghasilkan pemimpin atau pejabat publik, sedangkan masyarakat merupakan penunjang terlaksananya pemilu. Di Indonesia ada banyak problematikayang bermunculan saat dilaksanakan pemilihan umum seperti sikap-sikap fanatik yang mewujud dalam tindakan intoleransi, diskriminasi dan ujaran kebencian. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut terutama dalam pemilu 2024 kali ini. Metode yang digunakan peneliti adalah Library Survey. Penelitian perpustakaan adalah metode penelitian yang menggunakan literatur sebagai sumber datanya, seperti buku, Alkitab, majalah, daftar pustaka, karya, dan sumber bacaan lain yang relevan dengan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa Toleransi dan kebebasan dalam berpendapat memerlukan sikap dan perilaku yang berpedoman pada aturan dimana antar individu harus saling menghormati, menghargai, dan menahan diri. Toleransi sangat melarang deskriminasi terhadap orang lain maupun kelompok tertentu yang memiliki pemahaman berbeda dalam pemilu 2024. Dalam islam pun mengajarkan agar manusia selalu toleransi dan menghargai serta menghormati sesama manusia. Begitu juga kebebasan dalam berndapat tidak bisa dipungkiri karena setiap manusia mempunyai haknya dalam mengutarakan pendapatnya, namun pendapat yang utarakan dibatasi oleh kebebasan orang lain dan juga memiliki ketentuan tertentu untuk meminimalisir konflik antar individu maupun antar kelompok.
