Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate business strategy employed by a leading car parts manufacturer in Indonesia, which intend to increase export among ASEAN economic community policy. The study focused on subjectivity of business management strategic formulation using SWOT, IE SWOT 4K and QSPM analysis in table, diagram and graphic.  There are five respondents from  each department as the top management who responsible for making  strategy and giving decision for the department. There  are five respondents from each following department: export import, production, business planning, marketing and finance. Results from EFE matrix analysis (total score 2.94) is 2.35 (opportunity) and 0.59 (threat), meaning that PT Denso Indonesia responds the opportunity and threat well because the company’s opportunity could solve the outside threat. Results from IFE matrix analysis (3.15) is 2.69 (strength) and 0.46 (weaknessess), meaning that PT Denso Indonesia has strength more than weaknessess. Results from SWOT 4K analysis is 3.48 (opportunity), 3.28 (threat), 3.87 (strength) and 3.50 (weaknessess). It means that the company’s performance could be determined by combination of internal and external factors because those two factors should be determined  in SWOT analysis. QSPM Matrix shows the score of each strategies .  For the first strategy is 8.31 and the second is 7.21 which means the most important of PT Denso business strategy is for making the product differentiation or knowing as diversification such as an innovation product among others OEM as the competitors or do differentiation from its previous product for competitive advantage by innovating the previous design, quality, price and others.

Abstract

Machine’s spare parts are very  important to support maintenance and repair ship’s machine. The purpose of this research is to find out the spare parts availability for ship’s machine and the level of smooth-running operation, and also to analyze the relationship between spare parts’ availability for machine and the level of smooth-running operation of MT. Gede of  PT Pertamina (Persero) Jakarta in 2017. To solve the problem, the writer used field research method and library research for collecting data, and data analysis technique used  Likert scale. Based on  the result, this research shows that  Simple Linear Regression Analysis obtains Ŷ = 8,068 + 0,837X which means every increase in spare parts’ availability for machine that is 1 unit of SKU (stock-keeping unit) will increase the level of smooth-running operation of MT. Gede about 0,837 point for PT Pertamina (Persero) Jakarta with 8,068 constant. A correlation coefficient obtained r XY = 0,740 which means the spare parts’ availability for machine has strong relationship between the level of smooth-running operation and PT Pertamina (Persero) Jakarta, because value of r = 0,740 means there is a positive and strong correlation between variable X (the spare parts’ availability for machine) and variable Y (the smooth-running operation of MT. Gede) that can be seen on interpretation of correlation table in Chapter I. The determinant coefficient is Kp = 54,7% which means relationship of contribution of the spare parts availability for machine is about 54,7% and the rest is about 45,3% for other factors outside the variable of this research, such as relationship of tools quality, skill of the ship’s crew, and other obstacle. The hypotesis testing obtained is  tcount (5,816 > 1,701) so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It means that there is a significant relation between variable X (the spare parts’ availability for machine) and variable Y (the smooth-running operation of MT. Gede) so the hypotesis stated in Chapter 1 is absolutely true.

Abstract

Research objective is to determine the strategy supply chain that focuses on storage and distribution, as the company acts as a third party logistics, using SWOT Analysis. Through tabulation IFAS and EFAS later to view the results using the Analysis Diagram 4-K that it produces results IFAS  (score 0.79) and EFAS (score -0.31) which produces Supporting Strategies Turn-around. So, the overall total could be seen from the Matrix Internal external is from Internal yield of 3.91 points and 2.46 of external. It means, the company can focus on stability, and the latter using SWOT Matrix (TOWS) to see the position of company that can take one of several possible strategies and company getting WO (weakness and opportunity). Its means, the company should be able to reduce weaknesses in the company in order to take advantage of opportunities that could advance the company.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how Management Information System related to EFFORT system at AirNav Indonesia JATSC Perum LPPNPI Branch Office, how the safety of flight, how the influence of Management Information System related EFFORT system to safety. This research uses field data (field research) and library (library research). Method of data analysis by using simple linear regression, correlation coefficient analysis, and hypothesis test. The result of analysis and discussion shows a strong relationship between management information system related to EFFORT system with flight safety aimed at correlation coefficient addressed with correlation coefficient r = 0.81 less than 1, and result of hypothesis test show that thitung> ttabel = 1, 85> 1.701 so Ho rejected Ha accepted. This means that there is a significant relationship between management information systems related to the EFFORT system on aviation safety.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the transport waiting line / vehicle queue at toll gate of Cibubur Utama. The analysis method used was Multiple Server Queue System - single stage. Based on the calculation and analysis obtained service time at the main cibubur toll gate is  9.064 seconds / vehicle. At the average level of business (r) reached 70 %. Peak Hours condition reached 170 % means that it is more than Over Utilized. Low Hours condition reached 39 %. The average number of vehicles queuing up (Lq) on average condition is 0.0241 vehicles. Peak Hours condition is 158 vehicles. Low Hours condition is 0.00003 vehicles. Average time vehicle queue (Wq) on average condition is for 0.028 seconds. Peak Hours condition is for 77 seconds. Low Hours condition is 0.00007 seconds. The average number of vehicles in the system (L) on the average condition is 7 vehicles. The condition of Peak Hours is 177 vehicles. Low Hours condition is as many as 4 vehicles. Average vehicle time is in system (W) at average condition for 9.092 seconds, Peak Hours condition for 86 seconds, and Low Hours condition for 9.064 seconds. In Peak Hours condition, the capacity of the main cibubur toll gate is not able to accommodate the number of vehicle arrival rates.
