Abstract

Tuwel Village is the village with the most population and automatically the amount of organic waste donated by the community also increases. Organic waste is exacerbated by the absence of a Temporary Disposal Site in the village. Environmental pollution that occurs in the form of an unpleasant odor arises as a result of spoilage of organic material from waste. Maggot is one of the potential organisms that can break down organic waste. The village community does not have knowledge about maggot cultivation which can provide benefits. The purpose of this program is to inform the public about organic waste management and increase the economic value of the community through waste management activities. The method used is the socialization and designation of maggot metamorphosis. Both activities were carried out on two different days with 3 different places. The result of this program is that the community understands the life cycle of maggot, the procedures for cultivating maggot, the benefits in cultivating maggot, a type of organic waste that can be processed by maggot. Organic waste is useful as a medium for maggot cultivation. During the activity, participants actively listened and asked questions in the question and answer session. Keywords: cultivation, maggot, organic waste, socialization

Abstract

The design of the Cipapais Temporary Waste Disposal Site (TWDS) in Kadumerak village, Karang Tanjung district, Pandeglang aims to solve the waste problem in Cipapais Village through regular and efficient waste management by applying household scale of waste sorting. The TWDS is made based on research on the generation and composition of waste in Cipapais Village. This research is conducted for eight days by measuring the weight and volume of waste which collected from houses and shops (nonhome). The results showed that Cipapais TWDS needs an area of 27 m2 . The TWDS is equipped with a warehouse, sorting room, and a garbage disposal place equipped with a container foundation. Trash every home is scheduled to be transported using two hand carts to TWDS every day. TWDS waste is scheduled to be moved twice a week to Bangkonol Final Processing Site (FPS) using one unit of 6 m3 dump truck. The design of the existing TWDS is expected to be realized by continuous communication between Kadumerak Village, Environment Service of Pandeglang and the Cipapais Village community. Abstract

The road will decrease the level of service over time. The decreasing level of road services will be marked by damage to the road. Damage that occurs also varies in each segment along the road. Therefore, an evaluation of the extent of road damage is needed. Evaluation results can be presented in map form. Mapping the level of road damage is done by comparing two methods, namely the DGH method and the Geographic Information System (GIS) method. The results of the study show that most of the Kelurahan Kadumerak roads have a mild level of damage. The total length of the road with the level of severe damage is 0.31 km or equivalent to 2.25% of all roads in Kadumerak Village. The road is an asphalt road with pavement conditions which are full of damage in the form of road holes. The road is located in Lebak Seureuh village. On the other hand, a non-pavement road in Kadumerak Village has a total length of 1.19 km. We recommend that the roads in Cipapais Hilir and Kampung Kota Manik be included in the kelurahan development program. Further surveys need to be done to re-measure the dimensions of the road that will be repaired more accurately. Keywords: Bina Marga method, road damage, road mapping

Abstract

Indonesia has a wealth of natural resources, tourism and other potential that can be developed, but rivers are often overlooked. The development of the river as a tourist area is still limited to rafting, canoeing and fishing. Tourism by going along the river using a boat or boat is still not worked seriously. Kali Banger River is one of the cleanest rivers that has not been contaminated with waste so that it is used as a source of irrigation by the people of Kali Baros Village for their rice fields. But unfortunately, the development of river tourism is still constrained in several ways, namely the pile of garbage on the side of the river road and the homeless people living in Tahura. The purpose of the "Baros Kali" River Tourism Planning Program is to introduce the concept of tourism that utilizes the condition of the Banger River and the Great Forest Park (Tahura) to the visitors. The method used is a field inventory, analysis of potential and constraints with the FGD, determining the design concept and its development, and preparing the design. The result of this plan is the condition of the river and its surroundings is still fairly good, only at some point there is a pile of garbage. In addition, there are still many homeless people who live in Tahura. Before realizing the plans that have been prepared, the community needs to work together to resolve obstacles in the development of tourist areas. Abstract

The awareness of environmental cleanliness of the residents of Sangkanerang Village is still lacking, reflected in the habits of the villagers who throw their trash in the river including organic waste. Organic waste can be used for agricultural activities, such as fertilizer. Utilization of organic waste as fertilizer can be done by making vermicompost and MOL (Local Microorganisms). This activity aims to increase knowledge to the public about the use of organic waste, and to apply the principles of healthy agriculture in Sangkanerang Village. The method of this activity begins with a discussion with village officials, namely the Village Head and RW Chairperson. Information dissemination on activities carried out by each RW Chairperson will be submitted by the Sangkaneng Village community. The socialization activity was carried out with material presentation and demo on vermicompost and MOL. This event was followed by positive enthusiasm from the people of Sangkanerang Village. An indicator of success in this program is to provide understanding to the community that waste from harvesting and kitchen waste can be used as vermicompost and MOL. Vermicompost and MOL are relatively easy and inexpensive to be applied by the community, so people are interested in this fertilizer. Abstract

Clove is a scented dried flower stalk from the Myrtaceae tree family. Farmers in Paninggaran Village experienced a problem, namely a decrease in clove production and even crop death. Dead molt is one of the diseases that are affected by clove plants and is related to the cultivation carried out by farmers in treating clove plants. Therefore, it is necessary to do a rapid assessment and checking to identify diseases in cloves and provide an explanation to farmers regarding symptoms and efforts to overcome this problem. The purpose of the rapid assessment and clove inspection activities is to analyze the knowledge, attitudes and actions of farmers in clove cultivation and to find out the right solution that can be done as an effort to respond to the incidence of molting on cloves. The method used is interviews and direct observation. Interviews were conducted with 9 farmers with direct observation of 20 clove trees. The result of this activity is the use of organic fertilizer by farmers still needs to be increased. Percentage of trees showing symptoms of stem and twigs by 4%, while trees showing symptoms of stem cancer by 96%. Farmers replace their commodities into tea as a solution so that the borers do not attack again. Knowledge, attitudes and actions of farmers in clove cultivation still need to be improved in order to minimize the negative impacts that will occur. The ingredients that have been mixed are then put into a bucket and tightly closed so that no air enters, this is done to maximize the work of the bioactivator in the fermentation process. Compost making training activities took place well, there were quite a lot of participants, with relatively high enthusiasm. This is evidenced by the many questions asked by participants in the series of activities.
