Abstract

The main objective of this study is to provide information about food supplying pattern and strategy of Social Forestry’s farmer household. Thisstudy was conducted in October 2008 by using cross sectional study design. The sample was 90 Social Forestry’s farmer households. The data obtained by the research were household characteristics; food supplying pattern and strategy which analyzed descriptively and inferentially. More than half of the samples (78%) are small households with all farmers and housewives are in productive age. The income per capita per month of the sample is Rp509626. The food expenditure per capita per month is Rp213136, while non food expenditure per capita per month is Rp197851. The larger shares of food expenditure are utilized in food supplying of cereals (31.7%), vegetables and fruits (20.3%), and animal food (18.5%). Strategies for raising income conducted by the sample are searching supplementary income other than the main working field; conducting husbandry; and planting crops in garden. Saving is a strategy rarely conducted by the sample. Energy supplying of the sample for cereals, vegetables and fruits, oils and fats, sugar, and others are sufficient, while energy supplying for tubers, animal protein, legumes, and oily seed are not sufficient. The food supply is obtained by purchasing (70.8%), self production (28.2%), and other sources (0.4%).

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: (1) analyze animal food supply in West Lampung District; (2) analyze ideal animal food target and; (3) analyze animal food self sufficiency. This research was conducted by using retrospective and prospective design. The primary data was collected by conducting interview and giving questionnaire to the chosen sample. The secondary data was processed by using Food Balance Sheet (FBS) software to measure animal food supply including the number and the energy and protein content. Food self sufficiency was analyzed by production-supply and import-supply ratio. The average animal food supply in 2005, 2006, and 2007 is 21 g/capita/day or 7.66 kg/capita/year, still lower than ideal supply 60 g/capita/day or 21.90 kg/capita/year. Protein supply of animal food is 2.86 g/capita/day, lower than ideal supply 4.8 g/capita/day.

Abstract

The aims of research were to 1) identify economic and social characteristic of  HKm farmer household 2) analyze food consumption pattern of HKm  farmer household 3) analyze requirement of food of HKm  farmer household 4) analyze factors influencing level of energy and protein consumption sufficiency of HKm farmer household. Design research is cross-sectional study with the sampel size 90 selected by stratified random sampling. Foods consumed are rice, cassava, salted food, tempe, spinach and banana. Consumption of energy was 2 020 kcal per capita per day and consumption of protein equal to 47.9 gram per capita per day. Level of household energy consumption sufficiency is 84.4% as good and protein consumption sufficiency 46.6% as good. Energy consumption sufficiency was influenced by the household size and household expenditure of food, while level of protein consumption sufficiency was influenced by household expenditure of food.

Abstract

One of the efforts in conservation of conservation areas is through conservation education. Implementation of conservation education that is given in a sustainable manner to the community, is expected to provide conditions for change for the community to have knowledge and skills on how to preserve the environment. Rimbawan Kecil School (Serincil) is a program that aims to provide knowledge to elementary school students in the village of Ciranjeng about the importance of preserving the environment, which is one way to tackle the problem of waste. The purpose of this program is that students can understand and understand the types and dangers of waste and students can apply the 3R concept (Reuse, Reduce and Recycle). This community service activity consists of two series, including the provision of materials from the 2019 IPB University team on the importance of environmental sustainability and the selection of waste materials based on their type in class, as well as the practice of making trash bins from used buckets. Abstract

Transect is one of the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) techniques used to conduct direct observations of the environment and community resources. This activity is carried out by walking through the village area and following a certain path that has been mutually agreed upon. The purpose and benefits of transects are to clearly see the natural conditions and complexity of the farming system, and to maintain limited natural resources run by the community. A description of the natural resources of the Muktisari Village community along with its problems can be obtained from the village transect activities, as well as changes in the village's potential. The village of Muktisari is divided into three parts. The three blocks comprise Ciloa Girang, Karangsari and Ciloa Hilir. Every block in the Village of Muktisari has its own characteristics. There is still a lot of land which has not been optimally used, there are still several plants whose maintenance and manufacturing processes have not been intensively carried out. In the village of Muktisari, soil fertility is beginning to decline and the expertise and attitudes of farmers who still maintain the tradition, making it difficult for communities to introduce new technologies to boost the agricultural activities. Abstract

Umbi-umbian merupakan sumber pangan potensial yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif untuk diversifikasi pangan. Konsumsi umbi-umbian sebagai pangan pokok mampu mendukung pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi berdasarkan konsep gizi seimbang melalui konsumsi pangan yang beragam. Sementara itu, konsumsi pangan tidak terlepas dari faktor sosial dan ekonomi yang akan mempengaruhi akses terhadap pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh faktor sosial dan ekonomi wilayah terhadap situasi konsumsi umbi-umbian di Indonesia. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross sectional study menggunakan data sekunder publikasi Badan Ketahanan Pangan (BKP) dan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) yang meliputi konsumsi umbi-umbian, jumlah penduduk, rata-rata lama sekolah, dan indeks pembangunan manusia (IPM), serta pendapatan riil, tingkat pengangguran, tingkat kemiskinan, dan PDRB per kapita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel yang diteliti secara simultan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap konsumsi umbi-umbian, baik secara kuantitas (g/kapita/hari) maupun kualitas (kkal/kapita/hari) pada taraf nyata p=0,010 dan p=0,008.

Abstract

Availability of sufficient food can affect consumption and nutritional adequacy. Regions with high food availability will provide better nutritional adequacy and food consumption diversity. The direct cause of nutritional problems was the lack of food consumption. Lack of nutritional intake, especially those sourced from animal food, was one of the direct causes of increasing nutritional problems in an area. This research aimed to analyze the availability, situation and animal food consumption needs in Pangandaran District. This research used descriptive explanatory and prospective study design while the data was secondary data from related officials in Pangandaran district. The results showed that Pangandaran district in 2019 had the availability of animal food production, which was 46.5 g/cap/day. The contribution of the energy adequacy level (TKE) from the availability of animal food production was 29.4% and the contribution to the protein adequacy level (TKP) from the availability of animal food production was 42.6%. TKE and TKP from animal food consumption were 106.5% and 167.4% with score of desirable dietary pattern (PPH) was 24. To achieve the ideal PPH score, the target for animal food consumption in 2020-2024 is expected to have a declining growth rate of 1.25% per year. To meet the consumption target, it is necessary to have a growth rate of -0.25% per year to fulfill the need for animal food consumption in the same period. If the animal food consumption needs are only fulfilled from production, then there is still a gap in sufficed the animal food consumption needs of around 32.9 kg/cap/year or 14.53 thousand tons/year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengeluaran pangan keluarga dan pengetahuan gizi ibu terhadap status gizi remaja di Desa Babakan, Kecamatan Dramaga, Kabupaten Bogor. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross sectional dengan melibatkan 63 subjek remaja di Desa Babakan yang dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada tanggal 15-22 Agustus 2023. Data yang digunakan merupakan data primer dan sekunder. Data ini dikumpulkan dengan metode wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, sebagian besar keluarga mempunyai pengeluaran pangan rendah (80,9%) dengan pengetahuan ibu sebagian besar berada pada kategori baik (61,9%). Sebagian besar remaja di Desa Babakan mempunyai status gizi normal. Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara pengeluaran makanan keluarga (p=0,750) dan pengetahuan gizi ibu (p=0,365) terhadap status gizi remaja.

Abstract

Remaja merupakan suatu masa ketika aspek fisik, psikologis, serta intelektual mengalami pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang pesat. Hal tersebut sebagai bentuk persiapan untuk memasuki fase dewasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan tingkat pendidikan ibu dan tingkat kecukupan protein (TKP) dengan status gizi remaja (IMT/U) di Desa Babakan. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross sectional dengan subjek berjumlah 48 orang yang dipilih secara random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan teknik 1x24 hours food recall. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Agustus-November 2024 di Desa Babakan, Kecamatan Dramaga, Kabupaten Bogor. Berdasarkan analisis data, didapatkan bahwa sebagian besar tingkat pendidikan ibu (50,0%) adalah SMA/sederajat dan tingkat kecukupan protein (55,1%) remaja masih tergolong kurang (<80%). Adapun sebagian besar status gizi anak remaja dikategorikan gizi baik (77,1%). Hasil uji statistik Rank Spearman menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pendidikan ibu dan tingkat kecukupan protein (TKP) dengan status gizi (IMT/U) remaja di Desa Babakan (p>0,05).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji perbedaan preferensi dan frekuensi konsumsi makanan tradisional dan cepat saji pada remaja di Provinsi Bali. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional menggunakan data Pengaruh Perkembangan Teknologi Pangan dan Modernisasi terhadap Perilaku Konsumsi Pangan di Perkotaan dan Perdesaan 15 Provinsi di Indonesia dengan subjek 384 remaja. Uji beda independent sample t-test dan ANOVA dilakukan untuk menguji perbedan preferensi makanan tradisional dan cepat saji menurut karakteristik subjek. Hasil menunjukkan, terdapat perbedaan pada preferensi dan frekuensi konsumsi antara makanan tradisional dan cepat saji dengan skor keduanya tinggi pada makanan cepat saji dibandingkan makanan tradisional (p<0,05). Namun, berdasarkan kelompok pangan, preferensi makanan lebih tinggi pada makanan tradisional menurut kelompok ikan serta frekuensi konsumsi menurut kelompok ikan, telur, snack, dan minuman non susu. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada preferensi konsumsi makanan tradisional berdasarkan jenis kelamin, usia, tempat tinggal, dan pendapatan ayah (p<0,05). Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan frekuensi konsumsi makanan tradisional berdasarkan usia (p<0,05). Perbedaan signifikan juga ditemukan pada preferensi makanan cepat saji berdasarkan usia serta frekuensi konsumsi makanan cepat saji berdasarkan jenis kelamin, usia, dan pendapatan ayah (p<0,05).
