Abstract

The queuing system at BRILink Elvi Juliani on Jalan Sirandorung, Rantauprapat, uses the M/M/1 queuing model to optimize banking services. Data were obtained from observations during one operational day, involving analysis of customer arrivals and service times. The results showed that the average number of customers in the system (LS) was 0.065 customers, while the average number of customers in the queue (Lq) was 0.0004 customers, indicating a very minimal queue. The average customer waiting time in the system (Ws) was recorded at 3 minutes, with an average waiting time in the queue (Wq) of 1.8 minutes. The service busyness level (ρ) was 6.13%, indicating that the service capacity was still sufficient. With high service efficiency, this study provides insight into improving the quality of BRILink services, especially in handling higher customer volumes in the future.

Abstract

Using the simplex method linear program operational research technique in the photocopy business is a smart strategy for optimizing business profits to become more efficient, by making better use of resources. In this article, we will discuss how to optimize service price profits, which is an important aspect in small and medium business management, especially in the field of printing services. This article discusses factors that influence the price profitability of photocopying services, including the cost of photocopying services. This research also explores customer interest in set prices. The method used involves a survey of photocopying service providers in certain areas, as well as data analysis of operational costs and commonly applied price structures. The results show that maximum competitive pricing benefits can be achieved with operational efficiency and a deep understanding of customer preferences. From the analysis carried out, it is proven that operational research techniques provide practical and easy to implement solutions. As a result, the photocopy business can be more competitive and survive amidst increasingly fierce competition

Abstract

As digital technology accelerates, information systems are the main foundation in helping organizations achieve success. These systems support businesses and institutions in adapting to technological innovations and maintaining competitiveness. This study reviews the importance of the role of information systems in digital transformation in various sectors, such as business, education, health, and government. With a qualitative approach through literature studies, this study evaluates the contribution of integrated information systems to operational efficiency, data-based decision making, innovation, and increased customer satisfaction. The results show that organizations that are consistent in developing modern information systems have advantages in terms of productivity and adaptive capabilities. This study also highlights the need for alignment between information system strategy and organizational goals for maximum impact. In the context of the digital economy, effective information management is a key differentiator. Therefore, investing in reliable and future-oriented information systems is a strategic need.

Abstract

Competition in the business world is becoming increasingly complex, especially in the rapidly growing mobile accessories industry. This study aims to analyze and optimize inventory management at Toko Acc RPH using the linear programming method. By considering market demand, production capacity, and profitability, this research applies the simplex method in linear programming to determine the optimal quantity of products to be stocked. The data used in this study includes inventory levels, selling prices, production quantities, and store demand. Analysis was conducted using QM for Windows software to obtain optimal stock distribution solutions. The results show that the store's inventory management strategy is efficient, ensuring that customers do not experience stock shortages despite limited inventory levels. Thus, the use of linear programming proves effective in optimizing inventory and improving operational efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how to analyze informatics data structures on online travel agent platforms. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study method that aims to explore and analyze the use and application of data structures in online travel agent (OTA) platforms. The results of the study indicate that data processing efficiency, user information security, and data search optimization on the Online Travel Agent (OTA) platform are highly dependent on the use of appropriate data structures. Data structures such as hash tables, graphs, queues, and linked lists have been shown to increase access speed, manage transactions efficiently, and strengthen security systems. In addition, the use of big data allows OTAs to analyze user behavior, predict ticket prices, and compile alternative flight routes. With structured and secure data management, the OTA platform is not only able to provide responsive services, but also maintain user trust and comfort.

Abstract

Queues that occur at beauty clinics are often the main factor that causes inconvenience to customers, one of which is long waiting times. This study aims to analyze the queues at the Rantauprapat Beauty Clinic and propose a systematic approach to reduce waiting times. The method used in this study is queue analysis with a queuing theory approach, where customer arrival time and service time data are collected through direct observation at the clinic. The results of the analysis show an imbalance between the rate of customer arrivals and the available service capacity, which results in queue congestion. Therefore, it is recommended to implement a schedule-based queue management system or appointment system, add service personnel during peak hours, and improve the service system to speed up the process. By implementing these solutions, it is expected to reduce customer waiting time, increase operational efficiency, and provide a better experience for customers at the Rantauprapat Beauty Clinic.

Abstract

Efficient photocopying services are essential to meet customer needs in this fast-paced era. This article discusses the importance of implementing the right queuing method to improve the efficiency of photocopying services. With the increasing demand for photocopying services, long queues are often a problem that disrupts the customer experience. Through an analysis of various queuing methods, such as digital queuing systems, virtual queues, and self-service kiosks, this article identifies the advantages and disadvantages of each method. It also presents case studies of several copy shops that have successfully implemented modern queuing methods, showing significant improvements in waiting time and customer satisfaction. The results show that implementing the right queuing method not only reduces waiting time but also increases employee productivity and customer loyalty. This article is expected to provide insights for copy shop owners in optimizing their services through effective queue management.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how to design and implement a web-based digital goods lending and returning system in a digital library. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study method. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of a web-based digital goods lending and returning system generally makes a major contribution to increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and security in the administrative process, both in educational environments, companies, and other sectors. The manual system that has been used so far has been proven to have many limitations, such as data inaccuracy, slow information search processes, and potential recording errors that can affect the reliability of stock and service data. By utilizing web-based technology, the lending and returning system can be designed to be more interactive, responsive, and integrated, making it easier for users to access and manage data in real-time. In addition, the use of this technology can also minimize human error, speed up workflows, and improve overall service quality.

Abstract

This research analyzes goods delivery transportation methods at JNT Aek Nabara, North Sumatra, with a focus on cost efficiency and service quality. The three types of services analyzed are Sure Tomorrow Arrive (YES), Regular (REG), and OKE. The analysis methods used, including North West Corner (NWC), Least Cost, and Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM), show potential cost savings of up to 15%. Additionally, sensitivity analysis reveals that large changes in distribution parameters can affect overall delivery efficiency. This research concludes that choosing the right transportation method is very important to increase efficiency and recommends regular evaluation of distribution strategies based on real-time data to meet customer expectations.

Abstract

Linear programming is a mathematical approach used to increase the revenue of a grocery store through the analysis of the most optimal combination of products. This study aims to identify the main constraints faced by grocery stores, such as limited capital, storage capacity, and consumer demand. Furthermore, an optimization model based on linear programming was developed to overcome these constraints. This research applies Simplex and Branch and Bound method to find the best solution. The results showed that the application of linear programming model is able to help stores determine the number of products that need to be sold efficiently to maximize revenue. This optimization process also allows for more optimal utilization of existing resources, thus supporting more effective and data-driven decision making. This study provides an important contribution in the management of grocery stores, especially in improving operational efficiency and revenue, and can be a reference for other small business actors.
