Abstract

This paper describes PT Polytama Propindo community empowerment program as part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Dahayu (Dapur Usaha Indramayu) is one of the community empowerment programs for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Since 2024, it has been implemented in the Juntinyuat District of Indramayu Regency, West Java Province. Dahayu members are a combination of several food-processing MSMEs with products such as soy sauce, salted egg crackers, ranginang, and fried onion. The Dahayu Program is implemented in several phases: planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The program aims to respond to existing problems and potentials. After studying the Juntinyuat area, we saw that there are a lot of MSMEs, the popularity of Junti soy sauce, and plenty of shallots. However, there are also some problems, such as marketing areas that are limited because the packaging isn't suitable for food and conventional marketing strategies. This program helps upgrade MSMEs by increasing their income and marketing reach for exports through the following: transitioning to food-grade packaging, providing production and marketing tools, regularly training their workers to increase production capacity, assisting them in obtaining business distribution permits, and helping them participate in events.

Abstract

Abstract

This article analyzes the role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in driving green innovation in the Dieng Plateau Region through the use of pyrolysis tools at TPST Dewanata (Dieng Waste Management and Treatment) in Dieng Kulon. Generally, the Dieng area is a major tourist destination in Central Java Province. This situation leads to waste-related problems. Waste management in Dieng faces unique challenges, particularly due to its geographical conditions, the increasing number of tourists, and limited land. These waste issues are the responsibility of all community elements, including the government, community groups, and existing companies. Through CSR programs, companies actively provide solutions to existing community problems, especially environmental issues like waste. PT Geo Dipa Energi, as one of the companies in Dieng, plays an active role in the TPST Dewanata program in Dieng Kulon through its CSR initiatives. This article discusses how the CSR program promotes sustainable waste management by implementing pyrolysis tools at TPST Dewanata. The researchers used a qualitative research method to describe and analyze the role of CSR in bringing green innovation to Dieng. Specifically, it outlines the process of designing the pyrolysis tool, its operation, and the impact of reducing plastic waste produced. The research results indicate that the implementation of the pyrolysis tool at TPST Dewanata is an environmentally friendly technological solution that can also save TPST Dewanata's operational costs.

Abstract

Abstract

Corn is one of the national strategic commodities, playing a crucial role in supporting food security and other industries. The demand for Corn is increasing due to the development of the food and animal feed industries. Although Corn production in 2024 experienced a surplus of 2.98%, there are still challenges in meeting domestic Corn needs. Fluctuating production, climate change, land degradation, and dependence on imports are major issues in Corn development. The government aims to produce 16.7 million tons of Corn by 2025 as part of its strategy to reduce imports and increase food self-sufficiency. In addition, the surge in demand for animal feed resulting from increased animal protein consumption is also driving the priority of developing this commodity. The Local Economic Development Program can be one of the supporting efforts in increasing Corn production as a strategy to fulfil food security. As a community empowerment program initiated by DSLNG, this program can reach three sub-districts in Banggai Regency: Batui, Nambo, and Kintom. One of the focuses of the Local Economic Development Program is to support the increase of local corn production, especially in the Kintom District. As a result of the assistance provided by the company, the corn harvest can reach 4,683 kg, equivalent to IDR 21,073,500, specifically in the Kintom Sub-district.

Abstract

Sustainable community development is a goal of a country and companies can realize this goal. As stakeholders in the community, companies can implement Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) in communities that intersect with the operational area. Community empowerment programs aim to create positive contributions to economic improvement, environmental preservation, and better social realization. PT Pertamina Gas Operation Kalimantan Area is an operational unit of PT Pertamina Gas under the auspices of Subholding Gas, PT Pertamina Gas Negara has implemented community empowerment programs, one of which is in Martadinata village, Teluk Pandan District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. One of the programs that has been successful in Martadinata village is the Marta Tani Mandiri program. Starting from the community's habit of using chemical fertilizers and fuel oil in managing agriculture, PT Pertamina Gas Operation Kalimantan Area tries to change these habits to create green agriculture. The embodiment of green agriculture is that Martadinata village farmers are able to manage agricultural land by prioritizing low environmental impact and are able to contribute to environmental improvement. The implementation of sustainable agriculture using self-sufficient agricultural products and the implementation of new and renewable energy can change habits and engage farmers in sustainable environmental protection. Beyond environmental concerns, the ongoing program has also improved the social and economic quality of life.

Abstract

This production of organic compost using the Berkeley method was carried out as an effort to control the excessive growth of aquatic weeds in Lembah Silangit Lake, Patemon Village, Bojongsari District, Purbalingga Regency, which has long disrupted the ecological, aquaculture, and socio-economic functions of the lake. The proliferation of aquatic weeds, triggered by eutrophication, leads to sedimentation, waterway blockages, and decreased fishery productivity. To address this issue, training on organic composting with the Berkeley method was conducted in collaboration with the Tirta Martani Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes). The Berkeley method was chosen because it can produce mature compost in a relatively short time, about 2–3 weeks. The results of the activity showed that participants understood the composting techniques and successfully produced quality organic fertilizer from aquatic weeds. In addition to contributing to weed control and the improvement of the lake ecosystem, this activity also opened opportunities for the community to gain economic value through the sustainable use of local resources.
