Abstract

The power need of South Sulawesi community is increasingly in a row with technology development. At this time, with the lack of new generation and transmission facilities make voltage instability always occur. To relieve it, Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) is used, that is, Static Compensator (STATCOM) which its basic operating principles functions as a synchronous voltage source. This research aimed to  find out  voltage conditions and power systems losses of South Sulawesi before and after using STATCOM and determine location of STATCOM installation. This research was carried out in South Sulawesi region specially at PT. PLN (Ltd.) Business Unit of SULSELTRABAR. To determined location of STATCOM installation, Trial and Error Method is used where buses which have voltage exist near to voltage interval limit allowed, became a reference of STATCOM installation. The results shows that voltage condition before STATCOM installed, exist to voltage interval limit allowed, that is, 0.95 – 1.05 pu. However, voltage of Tonasa Tonasa, Bontoala, Pangkep70, and Tallo Lama buses exist near to voltage interval limit allowed. Based on simulation results, an exact STATCOM installation is on two buses, that is, Tonasa and Bontoala buses until voltage of mentioned four buses are improved and near to fundamental voltage, respectively. Power losses after STATCOM installed is increase because when it installed, there are conduction losses and switching losses at STATCOM

Abstract

The process of burning coal by PLTU produces large amounts of fly ash waste that has the potential to pollute the environment if not handled properly. Various kinds of research have been carried out to deal with fly ash waste, one of which is to make fly ash a coagulant material because it has a dominant aluminum and iron content. The conviction of the use of fly ash as a coagulant aims to determine the highest recovery presentation of aluminum and iron using HCl and H2SO4 solvents with variations in concentrations of 6%, 8%, and 10%, variations in extraction time of 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours, and determine the rate of decrease in turbidity using the resulting coagulants. This study began with the preparation and characterization of fly ash samples using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), then the reparated sample mixed with Na2CO3 4 M is then calcined at a temperature of 950 ⁰C to be then extracted using HCl and H2SO4. The results showed that the highest percentage of extracted aluminum and iron recovery used 10% HCl for 6 hours ie 97.91% and 96.01%, and used 10% H2SO4% for 6 hours, 99.66% and 97.79%. Increasing solvent concentrations and extraction times cause increased concentrations of aluminum and extracted iron. Coagulant quality testing of fly ash using the jar test method, obtained the result that the coagulant results from the extraction of fly ash with HCl and H2SO4 solvents at 10% concentration% with an extraction time of 6 hours is the best coagulant that can reduce the value of turbidity to 0.61 NTU and 0.74 NTU.

Abstract

The selection of the appropriate information media is very important in supporting the success of delivering information to those concerned, including the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Muslim Indonesia.Furthemore, this research is made with the title "Digital Information Application Based on Website at FIKOM – UMI " to facilitate the delivery of information from faculty staff, study program staff, lecturers and faculty leaders to students to be more efficient in terms of costs, media used to the effectiveness of delivering and receiving information.This system is designed using UML modeling. Meanwhile, the programming language used is PHP and MySQL database.The information contained is the applicable regulations, agenda or event, today's lecture status, lecturers present today, articles that support academic knowledge and all academic and non-academic information deemed necessary to be conveyed to students.

Abstract

To determine the potential, cultivation techniques, and the amount of income received by seaweed farmers in the Bahari beach area by applying the seaweed cultivation technique of the rawai method is the purpose studies. Quantitative methods were used in this research through a descriptive approach. The overall population consisted of 4 farmer groups where each group consisted of 10 members who joined, with purposive sampling techniques taken samples of 2 farmer groups or 20 people used as respondents. Using primary-secondary data types, the results of observations, interviews, documentation and questionnaire filling are the primary data of the study. Records of the results of previous research both from agencies related to the research studied are data secondary. Based on research result, cultivation techniques are used with the Rawai method where seaweed management begins with the manufacture of planting equipment consisting of ropes, bamboo, sterofom to anchors, then seed preparation, planting and maintenance until the age of the seaweed is ready for harvest. This technique is quite effective because it provides benefits where the amount of profit obtained by farmers on the coast of Bahari beach is Rp. 396,029,148.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the determination of the maintenance system and component replacement time intervals using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method. This research was carried out at CV. Sumber Jaya Makassar which is located on Jl. Pioneers of Independence, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City. The data obtained shows that there is one lathe machine component that has a very high level of damage, namely the lathe machine electrical system component. From the results of the Mean Time Between Maintenance (MTBM) calculation, it is found that the maintenance interval for the lathe machine electrical system components is every 223.1111 hours, the lathe machine is every 401.6 hours, the lathe machine's fixed head is every 508 hours, the lathe's removable head is every 669.3333 hours. clock and lathe chuck every 1004 hours. To obtain the performance of a lathe that can operate according to its performance, planned or periodic care or maintenance is needed or what is often called preventive maintenance, namely by carrying out daily, weekly and monthly maintenance.

Abstract

Ambulance Search System Using the A* (Star) Algorithm, Yanti Feronika, Ambulance is a transportation unit provided by the hospital. One of them is in the city of Makassar which provides ambulance services. the journey to the hospital. Despite the rapid development of technology, there are several main problems that people often complain about today, namely when evacuating emergency patients using ambulances, but the issue of distance/route is still a problem for everyone who wants to visit the hospital. With the development of existing technology, a method for determining the closest route was introduced. Currently it has been widely applied in various navigation applications. The process of calculating the closest route is the process of finding the smallest of a route from the initial node to the destination node in a network. This study uses the A* algorithm to determine the closest route. After the calculation process is carried out using the A-Star algorithm formula with a different route notation, the results of the calculation of the closest route from the starting point to the destination point have a value on the route with the notation "A-B-C-D-EF-G" with a total f(n) of 1,550.84. Then compare the suitability between finding the nearest route manually and using the system or application.

Abstract

Jaringan komputer merupakan salah satu infrastruktur penting dalam menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar di SMKS Handayani Makassar. Namun, jaringan yang ada saat ini masih rentan terhadap gangguan dan downtime. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mensimulasikan Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) di SMKS Handayani Makassar berbasis Cisco Packet Tracer, dengan menganalisis data yang telah dikumpulkan melalui simulasi jaringan kemudian dibandingkan dengan standar THIPON. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil topologi jaringan yang menggunakan beberapa perangkat diantaranya yaitu 1 server, 1 cloud, 1 DSL modem, 3 switch, 3 router dan 16 PC yang terdapat pada 2 lab komputer. Tahapan awal dilakukan setting IP address pada masing-masing perangkat, lalu dilakukan konfigurasi pada masing-masing router dengan masuk ke menu CLI (Command Line Interface). Dari analisa simulasi jaringan hot standby router protocol (HSRP) berdasarkan parameter QoS didapatkan hasil sebagai berikut: Skenario 1 (Router aktif dalam keadaan normal), pada lab 1 diperoleh nilai delay 91.7 ms, throughput 2834 kbps, packet loss 0.875%, jitter 74,3 ms. Sedangkan pada lab 2 diperoleh nilai delay 90.9 ms, throughput 2868 kbps, packet loss 0%, jitter 85 ms. Skenario 2 (Router aktif diputus), pada lab 1 diperoleh nilai delay 93.8 ms, throughput 2499 kbps, packet loss 0%, jitter 83.8 ms. Sedangkan pada lab 2 diperoleh nilai delay 106.2 ms, throughput 2420 kbps, packet loss 0%, jitter 83.7 ms. Skenario 3 (Router aktif dihubungkan kembali), pada lab 1 diperoleh nilai delay 104.7 ms, throughput 2456 kbps, packet loss 0%, jitter 90.6 ms. Sedangkan pada lab 2 diperoleh nilai delay 110.9 ms, throughput 2315 kbps, packet loss 0%, jitter 85.25 ms. Berdasarkan nilai QoS yang didapatkan dari ketiga skenario menunjukkan bahwa penerapan konsep Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) telah memenuhi standar THIPON.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to calculate and compare the tensile strength of MIG welding with different current variations, apart from that it can also obtain optimal electric current variations in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding, electric current variations namely 150 amperes, 155 amperes and 160 amperes. Data from tensile test results using ASTM B 557M 02-a standard with the highest tensile stress value obtained in welding using a current of 155 amperes, namely 13.03 kg/mm² and the lowest tensile stress value at a current of 160 amperes 9.47 kg/ mm².

Abstract

This research aims to determine the tensile, Young's modulus and shear modulus values ​​through tensile testing using carbon fiber composite materials. In the tensile test, it was found that the tensile value increased in each variation, namely in the 3 layer and 5 layer variations with a percentage of 18.71% in the 3 layer variation and 48.51% in the 5 layer variation. The Young's Modulus value decreased with each variation, namely the 3 layer variation experienced a percentage decrease of 35.01% and the 5 layer variation experienced a percentage decrease of 9.2%.

Abstract

Stabilitas sistem tenaga listrik merupakan kemampuan suatu sistem tenaga listrik untuk mempertahankan sinkronisasi dan keseimbangan dalam sistem akibat adanya gangguan. Secara umum permasalahan stabilitas sistem tenaga listrik terkait dengan kestabilan sudut rotor (Rotor Angle Stability) dan kestabilan tegangan (Voltage Stability). Small Signal Stability sistem tenaga listrik yang merupakan bagian dari kestabilan sudut rotor adalah kestabilan sistem untuk gangguan-gnagguan kecil dalam bentuk osilasi eletromagnetik yang tak teredam. Studi Small Signal Stability sangat diperlukan untuk menganalisis sistem supaya dapat bekerja secara efektif. Untuk mempelajari Small Signal Stability digunakan pemodelan terhadap komponen-komponen generator, saluran transmisi dan beban. Pemodelan diturunkan dari persamaan matematis berupa persamaan diffrensial linier untuk mewakili perilaku dinamik sistem. . Hasil simulasi menujukkan bahwa sistem stabil yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai eigen yang negatif. Dalam menganalisis Smal Signal Stability pada beban statik digunakan dua metode yaitu Analisis Eigen Value dan Time domain Simulation. Dari analisis eigen value diperoleh bahwa sistem stabil dengan nilai ril eigen yang bernilai negatif. Adapun Time Domain simulation, sistem diberi gangguan 0.01 pu, input unit step dengan jarak waktu 10 detik.Dari hasil simulasi diperoleh bahwa sistem mulai berosilasi pada saat 10 detik dan kembali stabil setelah diatas 50 detik.
