Abstract

Garbage is something that is produced from human activities and then it is not used and then thrown away. Coastal waste has become a global problem and is an issue that is being widely discussed. This is because coastal waste has an impact on the environment, economy and human health. In addition, the behavior of the community in disposing of waste on the coast is also a habit that can have a negative impact. To be able to overcome the waste problem, three aspects are needed, namely the government, society, and waste management procedures. This study aims to determine the impact of waste disposal on the coast to the surrounding environment. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive research type with a qualitative approach that refers to data in the form of words that have clear and definite characteristics. The results of this study also show that the behavior of coastal communities influences environmental damage. This is also influenced by the low level of public education about the Mola coastal area. The government can work together with the community to save Mola Beach from environmental damage caused by people's behavior.

Abstract

Environmental pollution caused by wastewater has reached alarming levels, especially in large cities like Surabaya, where household wastewater is a major contributor. The coagulation-flocculation method is used to treat wastewater by precipitating particles from the wastewater. The use of mechanical impellers plays a crucial role in this process. This study analyzes the influence of impeller design, mixing time, and impeller rotation speed on the efficiency of Total Suspended Solid (TSS) removal and flow patterns in coagulation-flocculation. An impeller with a blade angle of 30° produces a wider and more effective flow pattern compared to a 60° angle. The number of blades and the blade angle affect TSS removal efficiency, with a 6-blade impeller at 30° angle achieving the highest efficiency. The optimal mixing time is 1 minute for coagulation and 20 minutes for flocculation. The optimal impeller rotation speed is 100 rpm for coagulation and 60 rpm for flocculation. The findings provide practical guidelines for enhancing the efficiency of domestic wastewater treatment.

Abstract

The quality of the coffee fermentation and roasting process is the main factor that influences the taste and aroma of the coffee produced. Some common problems that often arise include incorrect fermentation times and over-roasting or under-roasting. Therefore, monitoring the correct fermentation and roasting times is important to pay attention to, because inappropriate fermentation and roasting times can reduce the quality of the coffee beans produced. The aim of the research is to determine the interaction between fermentation time and roasting time on the physicochemical properties of ground coffee. This research used a randomized block design (RAK) with two main factors in this research, namely the first factor was fermentation time (F) with 3 levels of fermentation time (12 hours, 24 hours and 36 hours) and the second factor was roasting time ( R) with 3 levels of roasting time (10 minutes, 15 minutes and 20 minutes). And it will be repeated 2 times, so there are a total of 18 combination treatments. The analysis carried out is physicochemical analysis including water content, ash content, caffeine content, and organoleptic analysis including color, aroma and taste. The best result is F2R3 (Fermentation 24 hours Roasting 20 minutes) including water content 2.83%, ash content 5.00%, caffeine content 0.19%, color 4.2 (like), aroma 4.00 (like), and taste 4.12 (like).

Abstract

The crime rate in an area can be a serious problem and can endanger the safety and welfare of the community. One important aspect in handling crime problems is understanding and disclosing patterns and characteristics of criminal incidents. This understanding is the basis for formulating effective crime prevention and control policies. Methods that have been widely used include Self-Organizing Map (SOM). Self-Organizing Mapping (SOM) was introduced in 1982 by Teuvo Kohonen as an unsupervised learning method. SOM can perform fairly valid and unbiased mapping, allowing it to map feature-based datasets through self-organization rules. The SOM architecture or what is often called a coherent network is a network consisting of two layers, namely the input layer and the output layer. Every neuron in the input layer is connected to every neuron in the output layer. Each neuron in the output layer interprets the class of the input provided. Based on the research results, it was found that it was certain that the best cluster was in cluster 2 for districts/cities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Central Java and East Java. Cluster 1 consists of 15 districts/cities, and cluster 2 consists of 63 districts/cities

Abstract

This evaluation research was carried out with the aim of assessing how effective the use of the e-PKH application is in the Tangerang Regency Social Service, especially by PKH social assistants after the Covid-19 pandemic which spread across the region, namely 29 sub-districts. This research involved 69 PKH social assistants as subjects. Data collection used document methods, questionnaires and direct interviews. The t test that was carried out resulted in the Perception of Usefulness variable having a calculated t value of 0.054 and a t table of 0.678, which shows a picture of the e-PKH Application Effectiveness Variable (Y) negatively influencing the e-PKH application usefulness variable (X1). Meanwhile, the e-PKH application ease variable shows a calculated t value that is higher than the t table (3.967 > 0.678), meaning that the e-PKH application effectiveness variable (Y) positively influences the e-PKH application ease variable (X2). The results of the analysis also show that the calculated F value exceeds the F table (10.055 > 2.74), so the conclusion obtained is that all independent variables, namely the usefulness of the e-PKH application and the ease of the e-PKH application, simultaneously influence the dependent variable, namely the effectiveness of the e-PKH application.

Abstract

Geothermal energy is one of the natural resources found in Pacitan Regency, alongside mining and geotourism. Geothermal manifestations in Pacitan Regency take the form of hot springs located at two points: Tinatar in the Punung District and Karangrejo in the Arjosari District. This research primarily focuses on magnetic measurement methods at the Karangrejo hot spring manifestation to provide information about its subsurface geological conditions. Data acquisition was conducted using 2 Proton Precision Magnetometers (PPM) of the Geotron G-5 brand as both base and rover instruments. The acquired data was processed with diurnal correction, IGRF correction, separation of residual-regional anomalies, and Reduce to Pole (RTP) transformation. The research results show magnetic anomaly variations in the study area ranging from -220 nT to 200 nT. Some geological structures that could potentially be associated with the Karangrejo hot spring manifestation are north-south trending faults and northeast-southwest trending faults, while the lithology of the study area is dominated by kaolin alteration and andesite rocks. It is estimated that the Karangrejo geothermal system is a fault-hosted geothermal system resulting from fault activity.
