Abstract

Soil cultivation is carried out by utilizing human power, utilizing animal power, and using tools such as hoes to equipment that uses machine power, one of the tools to carry out activities such as land cultivation is a tool called a cultivator . The conventional cultivator has several drawbacks when it comes to tilling the soil, namely the wheel needs to be replaced with a rotary then the operator holds the handle while walking behind the cultivator to do the tillage. The method of this research is to modify the cultivator with a rubber track design using the autodesk inventor application and efficiency analysis on the cultivator as well as calculating the comparison between hoes, conventional cultivator s and also modified cultivator s by comparing the time needed to cultivate the land with a land area of 1 Ha. The results on the rubber track system are more efficient and more productive because the time required for tillage with a land area of 1 ha only takes 8.47 hours while the hoe takes 167.33 hours and conventional cultivator takes 9.09 hours.

Abstract

Preventive maintenance is a maintenance activity that is carried out on a scheduled basis, this activity aims to find out the results of the analysis of the application of preventive maintenance on the hydraulic system on the FT 420 model injection molding machine, to know the performance of the hydraulic system from the application of preventive maintenance on injection molding machines on the FT 420 model injection molding machine. and find out the problems that occur before and after the application of preventive maintenance hydraulic system injection molding machine model FT 420. This research method includes activities of literature studies, field studies, problem identification, application of preventive maintenance, analysis of preventive maintenance testing and analysis of the results of applying preventive maintenance. With this application, it can be seen that the performance increase in injection molding machines is based on the data that has been obtained, namely if prior to this activity in the period December to May 2022 the average engine productivity only reached 85%, different after the implementation in April to June, namely as many as 96 % or increased by 6% while the down time rate of the machine before preventive maintenance in the same month period reached 90 different hours after this implementation experienced a significant decrease only 20 hours only. Abstract

Double ring infiltrometer is a tool to measure the rate of infiltration into the soil. The design of the double ring infiltrometer has 3 stages, the first using 304 stainless steel material, the next stage is the rolling process using a rolling machine 6 × 1300 mm BB613RL, and the last stage is the welding process using TIG welding. The effect of adding sand on changes in the infiltration rate that occurs in the two rings, in this change the slowing of the infiltration rate does occur because the sand blocks the infiltration of water directly into the soil. However, the slowdown in the infiltration rate that occurs tends to be very small so that it can be said that it has no significant effect on the infiltration rate without sand. The results of the measurements showed that the initial and constant infiltration rates slowed down with a change in the average infiltration rate that occurred, namely 0.005 mm/s at the initial infiltration rate and 0.002 mm/s at a constant infiltration rate. Thus it can be concluded that the addition of sand as a ground cover does not have much impact on the rate of water infiltration into the soil, especially in the direction of water infiltration perpendicular to the soil. So that this sand can be said to be a safe material to use as a ground cover compared to concrete, castings, or asphalt.

Abstract

Motorcycles are a versatile means of transportation that are growing as well the development is very fast. Almost all parts of the system on technology automotive, both motorcycles and cars can change the piston size from the standard size becomes larger which is called the oversize process. Research object using a 150cc SOHC motor. This study aims to determine influence motor performance and compare it with standard pistons as well determine the impact of fuel consumption after the oversize process is carried out with a 63.5 mm piston changed to 64.5 mm, with a maximum power of 9.57 hp at 6600 rpm to 10.24 hp at 6600 rpm. Next round torque from 10.55 Nm to 11.67 Nm after being oversized. From the results show that by oversizing the piston there is an increase in stroke volume, however the pressure in the combustion chamber decreases, the compression ratio increases. As for power and style, it is relatively the same as a standard size motorbike, as well slight increase in fuel consumption.

Abstract

Pengecatan adalah salah satu upaya untuk menjaga penampilan bodi kendaraan, dikarenakan pengecatan memiliki fungsi untuk melindungi material dari terjadinya karat. Oleh sebab itu, dilakukan penelitian terkait sintesis cat epoxy dengan variasi suhu pengeringan agar diperoleh komposisi yang tepat untuk mendapatkan karakteristik yang baik. Penelitian yang sudah banyak dilakukan hanya berfokus pada temperatur oven pengeringan saja, namun pada penelitian ini waktu pengeringan oven menjadi salah satu hal yang juga diperhatikan. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini adalah semakin tinggi temperatur pengeringan dengan waktu pengeringan yang sama dapat menurunkan nilai penampilan dan kemampuan daya kilap serta ketebalan lapisan cat. Berlawanan dengan hal tersebut, ternyata tingginya suhu pengeringan tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan daya lekat cat apabila dilakukan waktu pemanggangan yang sama, yaitu 20 menit.

Abstract

Turbo cyclone merupakan suatu alat yang membentuk lingkaran mirip baling-baling dengan beberapa sirip statis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh dari penambahan turbo cyclone sudu 5 dengan kemiringan 50°, turbo cyclone sudu 5 dengan kemiringan 60o dan turbo cyclone sudu 5 dengan kemiringan 70o terhadap unjuk kerja motor bensin yaitu torsi, daya dan emisi gas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dimana metode yang digunakan untuk menguji suatu perlakuan atau desain baru dengan cara membandingkan hasil sebelum perlakuan dengan hasil sesudah perlakuan sebagai pengontrolnya. Hasil penelitian yang didapat menunjukan adanya perbedaan dari unjuk kerja yang dihasilkan yakni hasil pengujian torsi yang terbaik pada pengujian torsi menggunakan turbo cyclone sudu 5 dengan kemiringan 50⁰ tanpa menggunakan fiter udara dengan nilai torsi rata-rata sebesar 9,38 N.m torsi maksimal sebesar 11,11 N.m pada putaran 3500 rpm dengan penurunan -5,76 %. Sedangkan hasil pengujian daya yang terbaik pada turbo cyclone sudu 5 dengan kemiringan 50⁰ tanpa menggunakan filter udara dengan nilai daya rata-rata sebesar 6,08 HP dengan daya maksimal sebesar 7,59 HP pada putaran 5500 rpm dengan penurunan -7,12 %. Sedangkan hasil pengujian CO yang terbaik pada turbo cyclone sudu 5 dengan kemiringan 70⁰ dengan menggunakan filter udara dengan nilai CO rata-rata sebesar 0,72 %, CO minimal 0,28 % dengan penurunan -63,6 %. Sedangkan hasil pengujian HC yang terbaik pada turbo cyclone sudu 5 dengan kemiringan 60⁰ tanpa menggunakan filter udara dengan nilai HC rata-rata sebesar 61,2 ppm, HC minimal 34 ppm dengan penurunan -38,8 %.

Abstract

In the world of the manufacturing industry, knowledge about the quality of the materials used is very important. This aims to guarantee the quality of the processing of primary materials into semi-finished and finished materials. One of the things that can be done to determine the quality of a metal is to know the micrographic structure of the metal and its contents in the metal. Another alternative that can be used to determine the amount of carbon in metal is photography which is useful for seeing large and small grains of steel. The research concrete iron, cast iron cast iron, amutite steel, and silver steel. The methods used in this study include grinding, polishing, etching, and microstructural observations using an optical microscope.

Abstract

In a company, of course there are lots of problems that often occur even though the system is running properly. Such as delays in goods, machine errors, transportation equipment, and others. With supply chain management, it is one of the most important factors that will be used to support and regulate operational activities in it. This research relates to the availability of raw material stocks which aims to avoid stockouts and meet demand levels. If done right, this system will increase the efficiency of supply chain management and reduce inventory costs. The main purpose of establishing the term safety stock related to inventory is to get a profit that is more in line with expectations in the company concerned. Profit will indeed be the most important factor that must be considered when building a company. The method applied is safety stock, which is an inventory prepared by a company to prevent inventory shortages when market demand is unstable, collecting data before delays occur, and calculating the required safety stock.

Abstract

In Indonesia, currently the problem of water infiltration into the ground has become a major problem in various areas, especially urban areas. One of these problems is influenced by changes in land use due to growth and increased population activity. In general, in Indonesia the transfer of land use from green open spaces to buildings. As a result of the lack of a good water absorption rate can cause many flood disasters. To prevent flooding, knowledge about the rate of water infiltration in an area is important. To measure the infiltration rate, infiltrometer technology is needed. The design of the double ring infiltrometer has 3 stages, namely first using 304 stainless steel material, the next stage is the rolling process using a 6 × 1300 mm BB613RL rolling machine, and the last stage is the welding process using TIG welding. The effect of adding a mixture of coconut coir and sand on changes in the infiltration rate that occurs in both rings, in this change the slowing of the infiltration rate does occur because the mixture of coconut coir and sand blocks water infiltration directly into the soil. Thus it can be concluded that the addition of a mixture of coconut coir and sand as a ground cover does not have much impact on the rate of water absorption into the soil, especially in the direction of water absorption perpendicular to the soil.

Abstract

Tofu is a type of food that is familiar to Indonesian people. From the processing process it has waste. In general, tofu solid waste can be used for animal feed. Meanwhile, tofu waste in liquid form is discharged into the waters resulting in a negative impact on water quality resulting in a foul odor in the river from the tofu liquid waste. Liquid tofu waste can actually be used as biogas energy, but it is very rare because it requires a lot of money. The sole independent male tofu factory located in Kp Salakopi RT 02 / RW 12, Des. Haur Wangi, West Java, which already has a biogester tube from a government program so that tofu liquid waste can be used as biogas, but the biogas produced is not optimal. Therefore the researchers conducted research by adding EM4 biogester to tofu liquid waste as much as 0.2% in a holding pond of 6X3X0.1 = 1.8 X 1000 = 1800 Liters of tofu liquid waste from 10 December 2022 to 21 January 2023. From the results of the reset, the results of the initial test results showed that the average pressure produced was only 0.8 Bar and the average pressure generated after the addition of EM4 bioactives became 1.5 Bar. The characteristics of the premix fire produced by tofu liquid waste biogas is blue, smells bad , and not smoky.
