Abstract

Tourism plays an important role in Indonesia's economy both asone source of revenue for producers as well as the creator of employment and opportunities especially service business hotel accommodation and restaurant. This research using descriptive qualitative approach. The research was carried out in the District of Pacet, Mojokerto Regency. Data sources used are primary and secondary data. The technique of data collection is carried out by means of observation and in-depth interviews. While the method of data analysis using the technique of triangulation. The result showed that hotel and restaurant sector contributed to work force absorption sub-district pacet still low and not much assist in overcoming mojokerto unemployment in the county. Specifications labor at hotels and restaurants can be seen from factor is the average age 18-25 years factor high school graduate education, smk, D1 or other levels, and factor sexes prioritize women and not married.

Abstract

AbstractThe this study aimed to examine the effect Country ofOrigin to perceived quality and perceived value. The object is phone customers who visited in World Trade Center (WTC) Surabaya. The sample is 287 respondens. Country of origin has ten indikator s in this research, perceived qualityhas six indikator s in this research, and perceived value has three indikator s. Hypothesis testing is done by path analyze. Research is showed that country of origin effect the perceived quality, perceived quality effect the perceived value, and country of origin do not effect perceived value. This conclution, country of origin indirectly effect the perceived value.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of capital structure, business risk and sales growth with ROE for manufacturing companies (sector industry consumer goods) during 2008-2012. The independent variable is capital structure, business risk and sales growth.The sample was manufacturing (sector industry consumer goods),which publishes the annual report and quarterly financial reports I-IV during 2008-2012. It uses purposive sampling method. This data using secondary data obtained from the annual report and quarterly financial statements issued I-IV manufacturing companies (sector industry consumer goods) on the Stock Exchange. Analysis data method is using multiple linier regression. The analysis showed simoultantly variable capital structure, business risk and growth in sales affect ROE. Business risk get positive effect to ROE. While the capital structure and sales growth has no effect to ROE. Variable explaining independent variable is get 69,9% while the rest 30,1% can influenced by other variable.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factor that influence the succes of the turnaround firm experiencing financial disstres. These factor are profitability ratio, severity, free assets, size, downsizing, and CEO turnover. The sample used in this study is a non-financial companies listed on IDX 2008-2012 period, which had financial disstres in 2008-2009 as many as 60 companies. Financial disstres companys was measured using the Altman Z-score. The data analysis technique used logistic regression. The research results indicate the accuracy level is 76,7%. Partially profitability ratio and size influence on success of the turnaround. Severity, free assets, downsizing, and CEO turnover does not influence on the success of the turnaround. While simultaneously profitability ratio, severity, free assets, size, downsizing, and CEO turnover influence on the success of the companys turnaround.

Abstract

Recently common phenomenon in all walks of life use smartphones, ranging from a young children to an adults. Samsung Galaxy Smartphone shows a magnificent display, there are a lot of choices they give to us, provide fairly complete applications, and it can reflects an up to date metropolitan lifestyle by using it. This research is a conclusive research. Sample who taken as many as 110 people with snowball sampling technique. Measuring instrument which used is enquette, as well as the the data analyzed with multiple linear regression. The research instrument that used was a questionnaire, and multiple linear regression analysis. This study shows the results, that there is a positive effect between lifestyle and reference group on purchasing decisions towards purchasing decisions Smartphone Samsung Galaxy simultaneously and the dominant effect is the lifestyle variables followed by variable virtual community.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to examine theeffect of manajerial ownership, investment decision, funding decision, and dividend policy on firm value that listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). In this study, firm value measured by Price Book Value (PBV). Samples used in this study consisted of 11 companies. This study used a purposive sampling method is by determining the number of samples taken to certain criteria. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis which previously has been tested with the classical assumption test. The results showed that simultaneously managerial ownership, investment decisions, funding decisions, and dividend significantly influence on firm value in the companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Partially managerial ownership and funding decisions does not affect on firm value in the companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange, while investment decisions and dividend policy positive effect on firm value in the Companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange

Abstract

PT. Semen Gresik (Persero) Tbk. is to be the most superior andalways grown up in Asia. The leader is a must to adjusting with the organisations environment, the relations between the leader, human resources departement and the employee has good relationship, so that each can perform the role, tasks, and function.This research is using methods of qualitative approach. The sample technique is using purposive sampling. Sample satures is sample determination techniques when all members of the population used as sample. This is often to implemented when the population is relatively small, less than 30 people, or research want to make very small generalization error. Analyze technique is using multiple regression linear. The results on this research is the transformational leadership has a positive and sifnificant effect to employee peformance and the transactional leadership has a positive and significant effect to employee performance human resourcing

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the effect of product quality, service quality, and emotional, and costumer satisfaction. The objective of research to know the influence of product quality, service quality, emotional toward costumer satisfaction on Sogo Departmen Store. This study used a accidental sampling by the number of 110 respondens by using causal research. The analysis used is multiple regression analysis by using SPSS 16 in seeing the independent variables influence the dependent variable either jointly or individually. The results showed that product quality, service quality, emotional significantly influence toward costumer satisfaction either jointly or individually

Abstract

Two big player that PT. Unilever Indonesia Tbk with the mainstay Sunsilk product and PT. Procter & Gamble that sells Pantene product stringent to supply the indonesian needs of shampoo. One of that with appearing of endorser in advertising to influence positif attitude of consumer to shampoo brand. This study used to analyzed the comparing endorser effect influence towards brand attitude (attitude toward brand) shampoo Sunsilk and shampoo Pantene in university student of Management of Economic Faculty of State University of Surabaya with 19-24 years old and 62 respondent for shampoo Sunsilk brand and 62 respondent for shampoo Pantene brand. Data were analyzed with simple linear regression.The result of research show, there are positif endorser effect toward brand attitude in both of shampoo brand whereas endorser effect toward brand attitude shampoo Sunsilk higher than endorser effect toward brand attitude shampoo Pantene

Abstract

T-shirt, will never far from human life due to the need ofwearing it everyday. One of local famous T-shirt demanding by the customers is Cak-Cuk shirt. Cak Cuk is an iconic shirt that represents Surabaya. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach, which aimed to test the influence of price, product quality and region of origin to the purchasing decision. The population in this study were adolescents aged 16-30 years at Jalan Dharmawangsa number 35 Surabaya. Samples taken as much as 83 respondents with judgmental sampling techniques. The analysis tools are Multiple linear regression. The results showed that the influence of price, quality product, and region of origin of the purchasing decisions. The result of hypothesis testing showed that price, product quality, region of origin have partial influence to the purchasing decision
