Abstract

This study aims to analyze and understand the managerial principles in creating child-friendly schools in the Pembina State Kindergarten, Padang Panjang City, West Sumatra. In this study, a phenomenological qualitative approach was used. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of child-friendly schools in the Pembina State Kindergarten of Padang Panjang City is carried out through various stages, namely SWOT Analysis, Branding Schools, Implementation of SRA Development, and Continuous Improvement. With the implementation of child-friendly schools in the Pembina State Kindergarten of Padang Panjang City, learning is more conducive and the trust of parents towards teachers is higher

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of a character education-based curriculum through SKU (Ubudiyah Proficiency Standart) at Madrasah QITA Malang. This type of research includes qualitative descriptive research or is often also called a case study because this research describes an event or event that occurred in the field. Data collection techniques obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the study that: first, it was explained that the management of a character education-based curriculum through SKU (Ubudiyah Proficiency Standart) went well according to standards through four stages, namely in terms of Planning, Organizing, Driving and Evaluating. This aims to create students who have noble character and always obey the commands of Allah SWT without forgetting themselves as human beings. Secondly, the inhibiting factor in implementing SKU at QITA Madrasah is the existence of internal and external factors such as the lack of awareness of students or parents that the importance of SKU in everyday life. The solution that can be done to overcome these inhibiting factors is to first identify the causes or problems faced by students then report to parents on the problems experienced by students, provide sanctions related to religion and provide counseling guidance to solve problems.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the evaluation of learning programs in the independent curriculum in elementary schools. Types of field research research. Data collection techniques that the authors use are observations, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, the data analysis technique that the authors use as a guide is the data analysis technique according to Miles and Huberman. The steps are from data collection, data reduction, data presentation to conclusions. The results of the study show that the learning program in the independent curriculum has not been implemented optimally. Because of the teacher's difficulties in developing learning tools, including, not being able to read CP (learning achievements) properly, not being able to compile TP (learning objectives) from existing CP (learning achievements), not being able to compile ATP (learning objectives flow) from TP, difficulty developing teaching modules, and independent curricula allowing them to be thematic. So that the results of formative and summative assessments are not in accordance with established standards.

Abstract

This study aims to describe workshop activities for increasing teacher competence in designing Project Based Learning Models at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 06 Kerinci. The research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of four stages, namely: planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The aspect that is measured in assessing the success of the action is the teacher's readiness to take part in the workshop process and the results of the workshop process. The subject of this research is the teaching staff and the research object is the ability of the teaching staff in designing the Project Based Learning Model. From the results of the analysis, information was obtained that there was an increase in the ability of the Kerinci 06 State Madrasah Tsanawiyah Teachers in designing Project Based Learning Models. This increase was demonstrated by (1) the ability of Kerinci 06 State Madrasah Tsanawiyah Teachers in designing the characteristics of the Project Based Learning Model from 20% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II; (2) the ability of Kerinci 06 State Madrasah Tsanawiyah Teachers in identifying problems with the Project Based Learning Model from 27% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II; (3) the ability of Kerinci 06 State Madrasah Tsanawiyah Teachers in designing the objectives of the Project Based Learning Model, from 27% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II; (4) the ability of Kerinci 06 State Madrasah Tsanawiyah Teachers in preparing the Project Based Learning Model steps, from 20% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II; (5) The ability of Kerinci 06 State Madrasah Tsanawiyah Teachers in designing Project Based Learning Models, from 17% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II.

Abstract

This study aims to see how the implementation of madrasah principal management in improving the quality of education at MTsN 1 Batang Hari. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative method in the form of a case study. The respondent of this study was the head of madrasah and teachers at MTsN 1 Batang Hari. The research instruments are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis technique was used condensing or reducing data, presenting data and drawimg conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of madrasah principal management in improving the quality of education can be seen from the implementation of several programs. These programs start from planning management, implementation management and evaluation management. The planning program is comprehensive, integral, qualitative and quantitative, sustainable, efficient, realiable administration and resource accumulation. The implementation program includes teamwork, adequate facilities, information disclosure, involving stakeholders, students and parents in all activities. The evaluation program implement the principal’s managerial competencies, leadership abilities, skills in managing madrasahs, preserving the culture and climate of madrasahs and guiding educators and madrasahs employee.

Abstract

Students’ learning achievement is the result of school achievement which depends on the principal strategies in leading and creating a design school culture or in other words designing school colour. Therefore, the study was conducted to reveal the principal’s strategies and school culture to improve students’ achievement at SMP N 5 Padang Panjang in several ways including optimally involving all school members and parents, developing profesional and teacher self-dvelopment, exploring students talents/ interests both academically and non-academicly, take an exemplary approach (touch the heart), carry out continuous supervision, make a strategy for achievements every year and giving awards and full support to students. School culture is a unity and mutual agreement made and implemented by all school members starting from principal, teachers, non-educational staff, students and even security guards. These all are manifested in attitudes, actions taken together so it becomes habitsfor all school members to create a safe, comfortable and pleasant school environment in realizing good quality education in accordance with the school’s vision and mision.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to plan education services marketing, implement educational services marketing activities and evaluate educational services marketing activities at MTsN 5 Tanah Datar in order to increase the quantity of students. This type of research is qualitative using the case study method. Research data was collected using in-depth interviews and direct observation to the location. The results showed that in planning the marketing of educational services at MTsN 5 Tanah Datar, it was initiated by carrying out a POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating and Controlling) which involved teachers, committees and parents in determining the equipment, strategies and programs to be offered. In carrying out the marketing of educational services MTsN 5 Tanah Datar applies an educational services marketing mix consisting of 7P (product, price, place, promotion, person, physical evidence and process) while in promotional activities it is carried out by placing banners, distributing brochures, pamphlets, school websites , Facebook, WhatsApp, and direct visits to Elementary Schools. For evaluation activities on the marketing of education services at MTsN 5 Tanah Datar, the school principal, curriculum representative, student representatives and the team hold a meeting at the end of each month in order to discuss the results obtained and correct what are still deficiencies that must be corrected and strengths that must be maintained

Abstract

Character is reflection of students’ personality that will form students’ daily behavior. Students who have the potential and quality as superior generations are reflected in good character. Therefore, character education is considered important to be improved by the school. This study aims to analyze the principal’s strategy in forming good characters in students of SDIT Lantai Batu, Kecamatan Lima Kaum, Kabupaten Tanah Datar. The method used in this research is a qualitative method in the form of a case study. Data collection technique used in this research was data condensation, data display, conclusion drawing and verification. The result of this study indicated that the principal applies several strategies in forming good characters in students, namely strategy of Strengthening Character Education, implementing integrated curriculum, extracurricular activities, learning faith and morality, visionary and transformational leadership styles of principals and story telling method.

Abstract

Management that is not good will tends to fail to change the character of students. The purpose of this article was written to find out good management to change character. Character-based holistic education management at PAUD An-Nahl in Payakumbuh District, Payakubuh City can provide information about good management for changing character. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. In-depth interviews and documentation are the techniques used for data collection. From in-depth interviews and documentation, it was found that the results of research conducted at PAUD An-Nahl in Payakumbuh District that the application of character-based holistic education at An-Nahl PAUD in Payakumbuh District has succeeded in shaping students into children with good character

Abstract

Mutiple intelligences or what is commonly referred to as multiple intelligences, this intelligence is a benchmark for knowing how to solve problems. Mutiple intelligences also measure thinking ability and intellectual development. Therefore, Mutiple intelligences must be applied because this intelligence serves to train and assist in formulating problems and ways to make choices. This study aims to determine the extent to which the implementation of Mutiple intelligences in learning moral creed. This type of research is quantitative, based on data collection, analyzing and displaying data, and interviews. For data collection techniques and interviews conducted online to several teachers, and the data will be displayed in tabular form. The result of this research is to find out whether Mutiple intelligences in learning moral creed has been applied in learning moral creed learning itself. The limitation in this research is that the observations are not carried out thoroughly to all teachers of moral creed learning and interviews are not conducted directly. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that future researchers will be able to collect data thoroughly so that the results of the observation are more detailed, and can conduct interviews directly without any intermediaries.
