Abstract

This study aims to determine the extracurricular management and its contribution to the students' intelligence in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri of Sawahlunto. The method used in this research is field research with qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are by observation, interview and documentation. The results showed that extracurricular activities contribute to the formation of the characters and intelligence of the students in MTsN Sawahlunto, in which every extracurricular activity gives positive effect to the students. The students are able to show the good characters in everyday social process both at school and community.

Abstract

In this qualitative research, the researcher analyzed the implementation of affective assessment for Islamic education in high school 1 Pariangan. The interview, observation and documentation were used in collecting data. The result obtained indicate that the implemention of affective assessment for Islamic education was run well. It was marked by making lesson plan and making instrument of affective assessment and also giving appropriate score of students’ affective in instructional process. Teacher of Islamic education in high school 1 Pariangan has begun affective assessment by making the grating assessment. Teacher used observation sheet to measure spiritual and social behavior of students. Affective assessment through observation was done by the teacher when the students did group discussion in instructional process.Key words: Affective Assessment, Islamic Education, High School, Pariangan

Abstract

This qualitative case study was aimed at disclosing the teachers’ perception on headmaster’s leadership style of Primary School 11 Kapeh Panji. The interview and observation were used as instruments to collect the data. The results revealed that the headmaster of Primary School 11 Kapeh Panji was democratic, humorous and communicative. Abstract

The study was purposed at explaining the affective evaluation and the obtacle on Islamic Education in State High School 2 Rambatan. This study used qualitative research method by applying observation, interview and documentation. Data were analyzed by using triangulation. The result of the study showed that the affective evaluation on Islamic Education got problem on conceptual and operational. The conceptual problem was difficult on applying the guidelines on the affective evaluation domain of the government and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. For the operational issue that the affective evaluation needs a lot of time, it pertains to feelings of students, and no cooperation in affective evaluation.Keywords: Affective Evaluation, Islamic Education, High School, Rambatan

Abstract

The religious character building program for students in State Secondary School 5 Batusangkar has shown maximum results. State Secondary School 5 Batusangkar is one of the schools that accommodate smart students. After doing the research, it turns out that they were not only smart on cognitive and psychomotor, but also on affective. This research was aimed at disclosing the management of principal in developing the religious character of students in State Secondary School 5 Batusangkar. This research was related to qualitative case study. The result revealed that the school principal has made planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of religious character building program for students. The activities were also supported by all parties. This research concluded that the principal of State Secondary School 5 Batusangkar had done a good management.Keywords: Management, Principal, Religious Character, State Secondary School, Batusangkar

Abstract

The problem in this study was the lack of understanding on the authentic assessment of teachers according to the curriculum 2013. This study aimed at describing the planning and the implementation of authentic assessment according to the curriculum 2013 in Elementary School 21 Batubasa. This research was a qualitative research. Data collection methods used in this research were the study of documents, observation, and interview. Data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The subjects used in this research was Islamic education teachers in Elementary School 21 Batubasa. The results showed that (1) the planning of authentic assessment in Islamic Education and Character Subject of Elementary School 21 Batubasa was good category; and (2) the implementation of authentic assessment was not perfect. This research concluded that the authentic assessment according to the curriculum 2013 in Islamic Education and Character Subject of Elementary School 21 Batubasa was run well but it got some obstacles in its implementation.Keywords: Authentic Assessment, Islamic Education, Curriculum 2013, Elementary School, Batubasa

Abstract

This study was purposed at indentifying the implementation of affective assessment in Islamic education of State High School 1 West Sumatera. This study was used qualitative case study approach by applying observation, interview, and documentation on collecting data. The data were analyzed by using qualitative analysis based on Miles and Huberman’s theory. The results obtained in this study indicate that the teachers had applied affective assessment very well. The teachers did not only focus on cognitive aspect but also on affective aspect. Abstract

Based on the achievements of State Islamic Secondary School Sungayang it also had many violations were done by student as seen in the students’ case book in the academic year 2015/2016. The violation was only related to discipline, but it prohibits the school’s progress. This research was aimed at describing the response of State Islamic Secondary School Sungayang toward students’ delinquency. This study was qualitative case study by applying observation, interview and documentation as instruments on collecting data. The primary data in this study were Vice Head of Students, Guidance and Counseling Teacher and students. The results revealed that the efforts to tackle students’ delinquency was understanding the forms of delinquency committed by students. There were high, medium and low delinquency. The students’ delinquency might come from family and school factor. The efforts on overcoming studetns delinquency were preventive, curative and rehabilitation. On the preventive, the school did socialization to the parent and the community. On the curative, the school gave the punishment based on the type of delinquency. On the rehabilitation, the school did direction and education of a noble human being. While the obstacles encountered were many parents ignore their children; the rule did not correspond to the current situation; and the students nowadays at the age of transition of delinquency.Keywords: The Students’ Delinquency, State Islamic Secondary School, Sungayang, Tanah Datar

Abstract

This study was purposed at identifyng the instructional management in State Primary School 09 Hilia Lamo, Kamang Magek, Agam by using qualitative approach case study. The researcher used interview, observation and documentation on collecting data. The results showed that the instructional instrument was made on vacation through workshop 3 until 4 days. The instruction was begun by flight ceremony, morning gymnastics, memorizing and reading a holy quran. The instruction was done by using various methods. To monitor the instructional process, the school gave the notice to the parents related to the students’ skill. Then the teachers were also gotten the suggestion related to teaching improvement through principal’s supervision at least twice a semester.Keywords: Management, Instruction, Primary School, Kamang Magek Agam.

Abstract

In this qualitative study, the researcher described the implementation of psychomotor assessment for Islamic Education and Character Subject in State Islamic Secondary School Kajai Sei Rotan South Pariaman. The observation, documentation and interview were used on collecting data. The data were analyzed by applying data reduction, data display and data conclusion. The result showed that the psychomotor assessment had used the principles of assessment but was not perfect because of limited time, limited teacher, and limited teachers’ knowledge.Kata Kunci: Psychomotor Assessment, Islamic Education and Character Subject, State Islamic Secondary School, Kajai South Pariaman
