Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between social media and the religious behavior of students in the Nurul Huda Kajen Islamic Boarding School. Santri in the pesantren can access social media as a place to get to know the world, but the problem is how the students use and use social media whether it is appropriate or not. This article aims to describe the usefulness and behavior of students in the Nurul Huda Kajen Islamic Boarding School in Margoyoso district, Pati regency. This article includes the field research article type with qualitative approach techniques. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the article show two behavioral models of santri after getting to know positive and negative social media. The positive is to dig up information that helps learning and negativity is the loss of santri responsibility for the behavior that has been done. The solution is for santri to be equipped with a comprehensive understanding of religion in order to maintain religious values when using social media, and away from criminal behavior.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan toleransi beragama. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Agama  Islam, Jurusan Tarbiyah, Sekolah  Tinggi Agama Islam Kudus. Sampel (N = 94) dikumpulkan melalui convenience sampling, dengan mengisi angket dalam bentuk skala. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan positif antara kecerdasan emosi dengan  toleransi agama.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perspective of Islamic eco-theology in the Reresik Sendang tradition in Wonosoco Village. How the people of Wonosoco Village carry out, interpret, and how the Reresik Sendang tradition is seen from the perspective of Islamic eco-theology. This research uses a type of field research using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques obtained through the results of observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings from this study indicate several important points: First, the tradition of Reresik Sendang is a form of effort by the people of Wonosoco Village in preserving the natural environment based on Islamic teachings. Secondly, in the implementation of the Reresik Sendang tradition, there are still rituals which are Hindu-Buddhist teachings. The community interpreted that the Sendang Reresik tradition is a form of gratitude to God Almighty, as well as a form of respect for the ancestors. Third, viewed from the perspective of Islamic eco-theology in the Reresik Sendang tradition in Wonosoco Village, there is a meeting point in it, which sees nature as a "sign" of God.

Abstract

This article specifically aims at describing Indonesia as one of the multi-religious country having a lot of various confidence and trust, but from the religious differences is able to bring about actions of radicalism. Therefore, tolerance maintenances need to emphasize to every individual, as we have already applied to the interfaith community of PANTURA. This study used a case study approach in inter-religious and belief communities of PANTURA, known as TALI AKRAB, which is one of the various religious friendship communities in the northern coasts (PANTURA) of Indonesia. The main findings in this paper include the way of instilling a multi-religious tolerance as a tool of avoiding radicalism in society, by discussing the problems of each religion and ignoring differences in the faith.

Abstract

Islam masuk di Nusantara tak luput dari peranan Ulama yang telah menyebarkan dakwah Islamnya kepada masyarakat yang ada di Nusantara. Kearifan lokal yang tidak tertinggal tetap berjalan bersama dengan Islam. Ini sangat menarik untuk dikaji karena ulama-ulama dahulu menyiarkan agama Islam dengan cara yang bisa diterima oleh beragam masyarakat dengan baik. Maka sebagai generasi yang telah hidup di zaman modern ini tidak melupakan sejarah dan peninggalan ulama-ulama dahulu. Dan kemajuan teknologi bisa dinikmati pada saat sekarang yang juga mempunyai pengaruh besar jika tidak jernih untuk menggunakanya.              Ulama di Nusantara sepatutnya untuk di contoh bagaimana cara dakwahnya untuk menyebarkan Islam di Nusantara tanpa kekerasan karena sekarang ini banyak yang mengatas namakan agama dengan melakukan kekerasan misalnya pembakaran tempat ibadah, terorisme, dan lain sebagainya. Fenomena seperti itu nyata yang bisa dirasakan pada saat ini. Maka seharusnya sebagai generasi penerus mengerti tentang peran Islam dan Ulama di Nusantara agar bisa mengenal identitasnya yang asli dari Nusantara. Agar tidak melupakan perjuangan ulama-ulama terdahulu dalam memperjuangkan Islam.            Bermula dari latar belakang tersebut penulis mengangkat tema Islam dan Ulama di Nusantara. Tema ini menurut penulis sangat menarik untuk dikaji agar dapat meneladani bagaimana peran-peran Ulama dalam menyampaikan dakwahnya di Nusantara. Adapun untuk membedakan penelitian-penelitian terdahulu penulis akan mengangkat permasalahan diantaranya adalah bagaimana Islam masuk di Nusantara, bagaimana peran Ulama dalam meyebarkan Islam di Nusantara dan permasalahan yang terakhir adalah apa sumbangan ulama Nusantara untuk masa depan Islam di Nusantara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membangun harmonisasi umat beragama.

Abstract

Changes in Indonesia's socio-political require Islamic organizations to adapt to these changes, some of them have managed to survive and exist and died. Revivalism in Islam is a demand from the long history of Islam's journey, which has crossed the geographical and cross-cultural boundaries of Islamic society. The survival and death of the Islamic movement is highly dependent on the ability of Muslims adapts to the socio-political landscape, like the case of the Naqsyabandiyah Tarekat in Rokan Hulu-Riau, the existence of the movement survives because it is able to adapt to the socio-cultural system of the local community. This study shows there is an interaction between Islam and the culture of the community and influences each other.  The influence that occurs is sometimes positive and negative. The influence of Islam in the local socio-political landscape can be seen from the widespread use of Islamic symbols, as well as various local government policies that adopt Islamic values.

Abstract

This article explores the meaning of the symbol of the Pillar of Rohomoni as a support for the roof of a church building given by Rohomoni as a Muslim community to Christians in Tuhaha. The method used in this research is qualitative with descriptive type. This research uses interview techniques, snowball sampling, and literature studies. The results of the study found that the awarding of the Tiang Rohomoni to the people in Tuhaha was based on pela ties. Tiang Rohomoni represents the identity of pela Rohomoni and Tuhaha as a form of brotherhood that is not limited by religion and culture. The Pillar of Spirit is a symbol that also presents a collective awareness for the people of the two countries to maintain a relationship that helps and supports each other. The pillar is also interpreted as supporting and strengthening the brotherly ties between the two countries.

Abstract

Millennial urban Muslims represent the trend of hijrah in Indonesia. Given that the urban millennial community has adequate Internet access. In addition, hijrah for them is not only present as a spiritual phenomenon but has also become a trend and lifestyle. Hijrah has become a more aggressive phenomenon in urban areas than in rural areas. This article will describe hijrah society, not only in real daily social life but also through social media on the Instagram platform with the hashtag hijrah (#hijrah). This study uses a qualitative method with a virtual ethnographic approach and uses social media space. The trend of hijrah that is displayed contains many meanings and various expressions. First, hijrah is a persuasive tool to make accounts more popular and business, spreading social-religious values. Second, hijrah is the meaning of self-existence. Urban Muslims use social media as a tool to express their religious identity through content with the hashtag hijrah (#hijrah). Third, as a form of self-change. In religious education, in dress, behavior, attitude, and embodiment of a harmonious family. Fourth, hijrah represents the proliferation of Islamic groups and movements, especially the Salafi community and some students (santri)
