Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of product, price, and promotion on purchasing decisions at MyCake.Ofc using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents in Gorontalo City, selected using purposive sampling techniques. The analysis results show that price has a significant influence on purchasing decisions, while the product and promotion variables do not have a significant effect. The research model has an R-square value of 97.6%, indicating that the product, price, and promotion variables explain 97.6% of the variation in purchasing decisions.. This study highlights the importance of competitive pricing strategies to enhance consumer appeal and purchasing decisions in the food business sector, particularly at MyCake.Ofc.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the improvement of students’ mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of Measures of Data Location through the implementation of the peer tutoring method. This study employed Classroom Action Research conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tapa in the 2023/2024 academic year, involving 28 students of class X-4 as research subjects. Data were collected through observation and tests using teacher activity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, and essay test instruments. The results showed that the implementation of the peer tutoring method was effective in improving students’ learning outcomes. The percentage of teacher activity in the preliminary activities increased from 70.83% to 95.83%, in the main activities from 65.62% to 90.62%, and in the closing activities from 68.75% to 87.5%. Student activity also improved, with preliminary activities increasing from 80% to 90%, main activities from 60% to 90%, and closing activities from 58.3% to 83.3%. In addition, students’ learning mastery increased from 53.6% in Cycle I to 85.7% in Cycle II. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the peer tutoring method improves both learning activities and students’ mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study is a research and development study aimed at producing a learning media based on Visual Basic for Application (VBA) in Microsoft PowerPoint for the topic of exponents. The research was conducted in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year at MTs. Al-Khairaat Gorontalo City, involving 20 students of class VIII D as the trial participants. The development process followed the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results indicate that the developed learning media meets the criteria of validity and practicality. Based on validation by six validators, the average validity score of the media was 3.34 and the material validity score was 3.17, both categorized as valid. Furthermore, the practicality test showed that the percentage of student responses was 87.88% and the teacher response was 100%, both categorized as very practical. Therefore, the VBA-based learning media in PowerPoint is considered feasible and appropriate for use in teaching the topic of exponents.

Abstract

The use of instructional media in mathematics learning is often still static, resulting in low student engagement and increased boredom during the learning process. Therefore, interactive learning media are needed to enhance students’ interest and participation. This study aims to develop a mathematics learning media based on Visual Basic for Application (VBA) in Microsoft PowerPoint on the topic of sequences and series, and to evaluate its validity and practicality. This research employed the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments included media validation sheets, material validation sheets, and questionnaires for teacher and student responses. The data were analyzed using the average percentage of assessment scores. The results showed that the developed learning media achieved a very high level of validity, with 92% from media experts and 91% from material experts. In addition, the practicality level was categorized as very practical, with 98% from teacher responses and 87% from student responses. Thus, the VBA-based PowerPoint learning media is considered valid and practical for use in mathematics learning, particularly on the topic of sequences and series.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a difference in students’ mathematics learning outcomes between those taught using the Jigsaw cooperative learning model and those taught using the direct learning model on the topic of flat-sided solid geometry in Grade VIII at SMPN 2 Gorontalo City. The method employed was an experimental study with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The samples were selected using the Cluster Random Sampling technique, resulting in class VIII-4 as the experimental class using the Jigsaw cooperative learning model and class VIII-3 as the control class using the direct learning model. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test on mathematics learning outcomes. The data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The descriptive analysis showed that the mean score of students in the experimental class was higher, with a value of 13.96 compared to 12.57 in the control class. Furthermore, the inferential analysis using the t-test indicated that , namely 2.0551 > 1.6736 at a significance level of . Therefore, it can be concluded that students taught using the Jigsaw cooperative learning model achieved higher mathematics learning outcomes than those taught using the direct learning model. The Jigsaw cooperative learning model encourages students to actively engage in both individual and group learning, as well as enhances responsibility and collaboration among students.
