Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar matematika di tinjau dari gaya kognitif siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 6 Gorontalo serta mengetahui hasil belajar peserta didik yang mempunyai gaya kognitif field independent lebih tinggi atau lebih rendah dari field dependent. penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian 30 siswa yang diambil secara acak. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan tes GEFT (Group Embedded Figure Test) dan tes objektif hasil belajar matematika. Adapun indikator yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa ada 4 yaitu : pengetahuan (C1), pemahaman (C2), dan aplikasi (C3), analisis (C4). Hasil penelitian menyatakan peserta didik yang mempunyai hasil belajar matematika pada kategori field independent sebagian besar sudah mampu menyelesaikan soal yang diberikan dan siswa pada kategori field dependent sebagian siswa belum bisa dalam menyelesaikan soal yang diberikan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the student’s ability to understand the mathematical concept using adventure game multimedia mobile learning based on the pyramid (PDL) in Grade VIII. This study is qualitative descriptive. The subjects are 40 students of grade VIII which is reduced to 6 students to take the preliminary test of the ability to understand the concept and the interview process seen from the results of the students’ preliminary test. Data collection technique includes preliminary tests, interviews, documentation, and observation. The data analysis applies reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results based on interviews conducted with students and teachers show that students’ conceptual abilities vary widely, where some achieve high abilities, medium abilities, and low abilities. It is also seen from the learning process that the use of adventure game multimedia in the pyramid helps to give its vibes to a more interesting learning process.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study that aims to describe students' critical thinking abilities carried out by online learning. This research was conducted in class VIII SMP Negeri Widyakrama involving 23 students as research subjects. Data collection was obtained from validated essay test instruments. The test instrument was used to collect data on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities with indicators (a) problem identification (b) analysis, (c) synthesis, and (d) drawing conclusions. The results showed that students' critical thinking abilities implemented through online learning at Widyakrama State Middle School were in the medium category. This is shown based on the classification of critical thinking abilities of 23 respondents. There are only 5 students who are in the high category, 14 students are in the medium category, and 4 other students are in a low category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan merumuskan kesulitan-kesulitan yang dialami guru matematika SMP di kota Gorontalo dalam menerapkan proses pembelajaran jarak jauh (distance learning). Serta merumuskan penyebab kesulitan guru matematika SMP di kota Gorontalo dalam menerapkan proses pembelajaran jarak jauh (distance learning). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian survei yang populasinya seluruh guru matematika SMP di kota Gorontalo, berjumlah 52 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 20 orang yang diperoleh dengan teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh menggunakan angket kesulitan guru matematika SMP di kota Gorontalo selama masa distance learning, dan juga menggunakan studi dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini data di analisis per responden dan per indikator mengguna analisis presentase kemudia hasil keduanya dikaitkan untuk menemukan kesulitan yang dialami guru. Kemudian setiap kesulitan itu dianalisis lagi menggunakan analisis presentase deskriptif kualitatif. Data pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam penggunaan alat peraga selama masa distance learning 45% guru cukup kesulitan, 35% sedikit kesulitan, dan hanya 20% yang tidak kesulitan. Dalam penggunaan metode pembelajaran juga guru cukup kesulitan (40 %) dan bahkan ada 7,5% yang merasa sangat kesulitan. Sementara hanya 15% yang tidak kesulitan. Kemudian dalam hal mengelolah kelas, 42,5% guru matematika SMP di kota Gorontalo cukup kesulitan bahkan ada 7,5% yang merasa sangat kesulitan, sementara hanya 12,5% yang merasa tidak kesulitan. Dari data hasil penelitian diperoleh juga beberapa penyebab kesulitan yang dialami oleh sebagian besar guru matematika SMP di kota Gorontalo selama masa distance learning yaitu kurangnya fasilitas penunjang pembelajaran matematika, kesulitan mengembangkan metode yang sesuai dengan kondisi pembelajaran di masa distance learning, lingkungan belajar siswa yang kurang kondusif, dan ketidak tersediaan gawai/komputer/leptop siswa. Berdasarkan data dari penelitian ini diperoleh beberapa kesulitan yang dialami guru matematika SMP di kota Gorontalo pada masa distance learning yaitu kesulitan dalam penggunaan alat peraga, kesulitan dalam penggunaan metode, dan kesulitan mengelolah kelas.

Abstract

This article discusses the description of students' mathematical connection abilities in solving mathematics on the Pythagorean theorem material. This descriptive research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Bolaang Uki in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The technique of data collection is done by test. Description test to obtain mathematical connection ability data. The results showed that the students' mathematical connection ability to recognize and use connections between mathematical ideas was 45.14%, the indicator of understanding how mathematical ideas were connected and built on one another to produce a coherent whole was 29.63%, and indicators of the introduction and application of mathematics in daily life by 23.61%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hasil implementasi model pembelajaran Self Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika peserta didik kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitiannya siswa kelas XI IPA 4 yang terdiri dari 43 peserta didik, 14 diantaranya laki-laki dan 29 perempuan pada tahun ajaran 2021/2022 yang mempelajari materi persamaan trigonometri. Penelitian terjadi dua siklus yang terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaaan tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa capaian rata-rata hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika peserta didik mengalami peningkatan sebesar 22,05% yakni pada siklus I, 65,86% menjadi 87,91% pada siklus II. Selanjutnya untuk hasil analisis kegiatan guru mengalami peningkatan sebesar 13,88% yakni pada siklus I sebesar 69,12% menjadi 83,00% pada siklus II. Begitu pula dengan analisis kegiatan peserta didik mengalami peningkatan sebesar 18,56% yakni pada siklus I sebesar 66,10% menjadi 84,66% pada siklus II. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran SOLE dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Quantum Teaching learning model on student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at a junior high school in Bone Bolango. The research model is an experimental research that uses a posttest control group design consisting of 2 samples, namely, the experimental class and the control class. The sample was selected by a simple random sampling technique involving 24 students for the experimental class and 23 students for the control class. The results showed differences in student learning outcomes taught by the Quantum teaching-learning model and the direct learning model on set operations material. This is indicated by the average value of student learning outcomes in the set operation material of the experimental class is higher than the control class.

Abstract

In this article, the dynamics of a predator-prey model incorporating infectious disease and quarantine on prey population is discussed. We first analyze the existence conditions of all positive equilibrium points. Next, we investigate the local stability properties of the proposed model using the linearization method. We also determine the basic reproduction number using the next generation matrix. Finally, some numerical simulations are performed to validate the stability of each equilibrium point.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes using the Problem Based Learning model on relations and functions material. This classroom action research was attended by 29 students of class VIII.2 for the 2022/2023 academic year. In practice, the data collected was obtained through observation and tests. As for the data analysis technique in the form of data analysis of teacher observations, student observations and tests of student mathematics learning outcomes. Referring to the procedures followed, the research stages involved include planning, implementing, observing, reflecting. The research consisted of two cycles. The results showed that the results of students' mathematics learning in cycles I and II were 55.18% and 86.20% with an increase from less to very good criteria. From observations of teacher activities when managing learning there was an increase, in cycle I it reached 79.42% good criteria, while cycle II was very good, the percentage of achievements was 97.06%. The results of observations of student activities have increased, from the first cycle the percentage is 56.25% good criteria and the second cycle is 93.75%, very good. This means that learning using the Problem Based Learning model in relation and function material is able to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

In the contemporary period, it is imperative for individuals to possess a repertoire of abilities encompassing problem-solving, critical thinking, and computational thinking. In contexts where challenges exhibit a growing level of intricacy and unpredictability. Efforts were made to improve these capabilities. Among them is the integration of learning in this modern curriculum. Mathematics is a branch of science that is expected to be a means for students to hone their abilities. The purpose of this study is to identify trends and research patterns published on the relationship between computational thinking and critical thinking dispositions in solving mathematical problems using bibliometric analysis. In addition, this article also encourages further research to explore various aspects related to the development of sustainable critical thinking and computational thinking in the context of problem-solving in mathematics learning. Data obtained from the Google Scholar database which has been refined with 4 stages (identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion). The results of the study show that 2020 is the year with the highest and most influential publications because it has the highest h-index value. The research focus related to this topic from 2013-2023 is divided into 4, namely, 1) problem, student, and critical thinking; 2) computational thinking, teacher; 3) mathematics and projects; 4) disposition and science. Project and critical thinking skills are novelty on this research topic.
