Core Subject : Education,
The mission of the International Journal of Literature and Language Studies (IJLLS) is to provide readers with the development of language studies in linguistics and literature. In addition to manuscripts that center on the study, we welcome manuscripts on a wide range of topics relating to the technology used for language development, cultural impact on languages, computational linguistics, and philosophy of language. IJLLS publishes scholarly conceptual, theoretical, and empirical manuscripts on the study of language and focused on literature and linguistic analysis and development. Submissions to the journal should be readable and understandable by a wide audience. Manuscripts should therefore also focus on analysis or illustration of the issues covered, rather than merely providing a mathematical or technical coverage, which would be more suitable for a specialist journal. All manuscripts are submitted and reviewed electronically. We provide our published authors with both a quality publication and the widespread readership that comes from publishing all manuscripts online within a few weeks of acceptance. This approach ensures that published works are read and cited by the widest possible audience.

Abstract

This scholarly article explores the comprehensive paradigm shift in the methodology of studying and teaching the ghazals of the eminent 15th-century poet and philosopher, Alisher Navoi. Modern approaches have increasingly transcended traditional philological constraints and rote learning, favoring an interdisciplinary synthesis of digital humanities, interactive pedagogy, sophisticated literary theory, and dynamic translation methodologies. By leveraging high-resolution manuscript digitization, linguistic data modeling, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), visual structural mapping, and Sufi symbolic deconstruction, contemporary researchers and educators successfully bridge the temporal and cultural divide between the Timurid Renaissance and the 21st-century global academic arena. The article demonstrates how these integrated frameworks not only preserve Navoi’s profound poetic and linguistic heritage but also ensure its continuous relevance, critical accessibility, and integration into the global literary canon.

Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive linguocognitive and cultural analysis of the concept "father" (English: Father; Uzbek: Ota) within the frameworks of modern cognitive linguistics and linguoculturology. By synthesizing research from 29 distinct sources, including monographs, dissertations, and corpus-based studies, the research explores how paternal roles are verbalized through proverbs, idioms, and literary texts. The findings indicate a significant cultural divergence: the English concept emphasizes individual mentorship and "caring masculinities," whereas the Uzbek concept is rooted in sacred authority, family unity, and ancestral lineage. This study employs the Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM) and Conceptual Metaphor Theory to unpack the semantic molecules and cultural codes inherent in each language.
