The mission of the International Journal of Literature and Language Studies (IJLLS) is to provide readers with the development of language studies in linguistics and literature. In addition to manuscripts that center on the study, we welcome manuscripts on a wide range of topics relating to the technology used for language development, cultural impact on languages, computational linguistics, and philosophy of language. IJLLS publishes scholarly conceptual, theoretical, and empirical manuscripts on the study of language and focused on literature and linguistic analysis and development. Submissions to the journal should be readable and understandable by a wide audience. Manuscripts should therefore also focus on analysis or illustration of the issues covered, rather than merely providing a mathematical or technical coverage, which would be more suitable for a specialist journal. All manuscripts are submitted and reviewed electronically. We provide our published authors with both a quality publication and the widespread readership that comes from publishing all manuscripts online within a few weeks of acceptance. This approach ensures that published works are read and cited by the widest possible audience.

Abstract

The article examines morphological means of expressing the chronotope as a category reflecting the unity of temporal and spatial coordinates in language and text. Particular attention is paid to the functioning of verb forms, categories of tense, aspect, and mood, as well as nominal and adverbial means that ensure the representation of spatio-temporal relations. The study is based on functional-semantic and cognitive approaches, which make it possible to reveal the role of morphology in structuring artistic and discursive space. It is concluded that morphological means play a key role in shaping the chronotope as a text-forming category.

Abstract

. This article presents a methodology for effectively introducing students to medical-technical knowledge in English language classes and developing this knowledge through innovative pedagogical technologies. The proposed approach involves the integration of module-based interactive lessons, virtual laboratories, simulations, and distance learning tools. The methodology coordinates the acquisition of professional terminology, the development of practical skills, and the solution of medical-technical problems through communicative tasks. In the experimental study, students’ understanding of terminology, practical competence, and motivation were assessed; the obtained results demonstrated the potential of the methodology to improve educational effectiveness and ensure safe, realistic learning activities. The article provides practical recommendations for incorporating virtual modules and simulations into curricula and for improving teachers’ professional competence.

Abstract

This article examines the relationship between traumatic experience and spatial representation in contemporary war narratives, arguing that the literary settings of such texts function not merely as physical backgrounds but as symbolic repositories of collective and individual trauma. Drawing on Bakhtin's concept of the chronotope, Gaston Bachelard's poetics of space, and established frameworks in trauma studies, the article investigates how destroyed, contested, and remembered landscapes are constructed through metaphorical and figurative language to encode the psychological, moral, and cultural dimensions of wartime suffering. Through close analysis of Khaled Hosseini's The Kite Runner, the article demonstrates that spatial settings in contemporary war narratives undergo a progressive symbolic transformation across the narrative arc, shifting from sites of belonging and innocence to sites of rupture, guilt, and partial redemption. The findings suggest that the symbolic spatialization of trauma constitutes a defining feature of the contemporary war narrative as a literary genre, and that stylistic analysis offers essential tools for uncovering the mechanisms through which this spatialization is achieved.

Abstract

The doppelgänger, or double, motif has been a significant part of literary traditions through the ages and across cultures. The idea has its roots in folklore and mythology, but the concept evolved into a powerful literary tool, allowing authors to explore questions of identity, internal struggle, morality and the fractured self. This article analyses selected works of Gothic, Romantic and modern literary traditions to explore the role and importance of doppelgängers and doubles in literature. The study, through a qualitative textual analysis, examines the ways in which doubles represent hidden desires, repressed emotions and internal conflicts. The findings suggest that the literary doubles destabilize fixed identities and offer a way for writers to explore the complexities of the human mind. The article concludes that the doppelgänger remains a relevant and versatile literary motif because it reflects enduring concerns about selfhood, alienation, and psychological fragmentation.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become one of the most rapidly developing technologies in modern healthcare, significantly influencing the field of digital dentistry and particularly endodontics. The integration of AI-based systems into endodontic diagnostics has created new opportunities for improving the precision, speed, and reliability of clinical decision-making processes. Conventional diagnostic approaches in endodontics often depend on the clinician’s experience and interpretation of radiographic images, which may lead to diagnostic variability and delayed detection of pathological changes. In this regard, artificial intelligence technologies, including machine learning and deep learning algorithms, are increasingly being utilized to enhance the diagnostic performance of digital radiographic systems such as cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), periapical radiography, and other imaging modalities. The present study aims to analyze the role of artificial intelligence in improving diagnostic accuracy in digital endodontics and to evaluate its advantages, limitations, and future prospects in clinical practice. The article reviews contemporary scientific literature related to AI-assisted diagnostic systems in endodontics, with particular attention to the detection of periapical lesions, root canal morphology, vertical root fractures, pulp pathologies, and treatment planning. Recent investigations indicate that AI-supported diagnostic software demonstrates high sensitivity and specificity in identifying endodontic diseases, thereby reducing human error and contributing to more accurate therapeutic strategies. Furthermore, the study highlights the growing importance of digital technologies in modern dental education and clinical management. The implementation of AI in endodontics not only improves radiographic interpretation but also optimizes workflow efficiency, minimizes diagnostic inconsistencies, and supports evidence-based treatment approaches. Despite its numerous advantages, several challenges remain, including data privacy concerns, ethical considerations, algorithm transparency, and the need for standardized clinical validation

Abstract

:This article examines the concept "time" in the Russian linguistic worldview through the analysis of its lexical field, conceptual metaphors, phraseological units, and proverbs. Drawing on data from Russian explanatory dictionaries, the Russian National Corpus, and collections of phraseology and proverbs, the study identifies four core semantic groups within the Russian temporal lexicon and describes three dominant metaphorical models: time as a resource, time as a moving entity, and time as a moral agent. Cultural connotations encoded in phraseological units and proverbs reveal a nationally specific duality between the instrumental and contemplative orientations toward time. The results contribute to the linguocultural study of temporal concepts and to comparative research on the Russian linguistic worldview.

Abstract

Improvisational practices are examined as a tool for activating the mechanisms of spontaneous speech production in foreign language learning. Psycholinguistic models of speech production (the levels of conceptualisation, formulation and articulation) are compared with theatrical and pedagogical techniques aimed at reducing cognitive control and accelerating reaction times. Examples of tasks for German lessons at levels A2-B1 are provided. The absence of quantitative data in the sources consulted is noted; only verifiable propositions from the scientific tradition are used.
