Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease mostly caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. There are various species of Mycobacterium, including Mycobacterium africanum, Mycobacterium bovis and Mycobacterium leprae, known as Acid Resistant Bacteria (BTA). The recovery or success of this treatment is determined by several factors, especially adherence to taking medication. Family support greatly supports the successful treatment of pulmonary TB patients by always reminding sufferers to take medicine, deep understanding of patients who are sick and encouraging them to remain diligent in treatment. This study used a purposive sample technique with a cross-sectional study design. The sample size in this study was 76 people. The results of the statistical test using the chi-square test obtained a p-value = 0.033 (Knowledge on Medication Compliance), p-value = 0.002 (Family Support with Medication Adherence). There is a relationship between Knowledge and Family Support with Compliance with Taking Medication for TB Patients at Kudungga Hospital.

Abstract

One of the eating behaviors in teenagers is the habit of snacking in the form of snacks. Snacks have a negative impact if consumed excessively, namely they can cause excess energy intake. The aim of this research was to determine the sensory evaluation and nutritional content of tilapia fish meatballs with the addition of gotu kola leaf flour. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and three repetitions. Four treatments were used in making fish meatballs with the addition of gotu kola leaf flour, namely 10 gr; 15 gr; 20 gr; 25 gr. The results of the research showed that the best fish meatballs were the treatment concentration of 5% gotu kola leaf flour which had an energy content of 223.37 kcal, protein 45.2 grams, fat 0.29 grams, carbohydrates 10.08 grams, water content 62.8%, ash content 1.33% and fiber 2.36%.

Analyzing the relationship between the knowledge and attitude factors of WUS in Loa Pari. This study used a quantitative approach, analytic observational with a cross sectional design. The research sample totaled 105 WUS. Data collections was carried out by filling out questionnaires, with univariate, bivariete, and multivariate analysis. Based on the results of the study, statistical analysis using the Somer's D test showed that there was a relationship between knowledge (p-value = 0.000) and attitude (p-value = 0.001) with WUS interest in carrying out the IVA test. The Puskesmas is expected to increase the target, coverage and education about the IVA test for WUS in their working area. In this research, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes with the interest of women of childbearing age (WUS) to carry out an IVA test.Suggestions in this study are that it is hoped that further research will be carried out regarding the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with the interest of women of childbearing age (WUS) to carry out an IVA test.

Abstract

This article serves as a commemoration for World Patient Safety Day (WPSD) 2023, observed every 17th of September. Unlike previous years, this year’s theme is "Engaging Patients for Patient Safety" with the slogan "Elevate the voice of patients!". All parties are encouraged to actively participate and collaborate in involving patients and their families in their care. This involvement encompasses primary and secondary care facilities, whether in-patient or outpatient settings, community health clinics or hospitals. The role of surveyors has been further enhanced to evaluate and proactively ensure the participation of patients and their families in their care. Numerous studies have shown that the roles of surveyors, be it in guidance or accreditation, are crucial in ensuring this engagement occurs and that improvements in patient safety and quality are achieved. Accreditation surveyors play a vital role in supporting and developing patient safety practices that actively involve patients. They assist health facilities in understanding and adhering to required patient safety standards while facilitating collaboration between patients, families, and care teams. The role of surveyors in ensuring patient safety becomes increasingly relevant and essential in the pursuit of safer and higher-quality healthcare services.

Abstract

George Bernard Shaw's play "Pygmalion" has long been lauded for its astute commentary on social class and the transformative power of education. However, beneath its surface, the play also serves as a rich ground for the critique of traditional gender roles. The study delves into the nuanced examination of gender roles within the narrative, shedding light on the complex interplay between gender identity, societal expectations, and individual agency. Through a comprehensive analysis of the characters, especially Eliza Doolittle, and their relationships, this study explores how Shaw's work challenges and redefines traditional gender constructs. Furthermore, it highlights the ways in which "Pygmalion" engages with feminist themes, offering a fresh perspective on a classic text and its enduring relevance in the discourse surrounding gender and identity.

Abstract

In the context of reforming the protection of health workers in terrorist areas, this conclusion reinforces the fact that protection of health workers is a necessity that cannot be ignored. Health is a human right, and health workers are an important pillar in providing access to the health services needed by communities, including those living in terrorist areas. The threats to health workers in these conflict situations are real and significant. They are at high risk of being targeted by attacks, kidnappings, or other threats, which could hinder much-needed health services for civilians. Strong protection for health workers must be a top priority. This is not only the responsibility of the government, but also the international community and humanitarian organizations. In implementing this reform, measures such as strengthening security in health facilities, better training for health workers in dealing with risky situations, as well as close cooperation with relevant parties are important steps.
