Abstract

Background : Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) was widely found in tropical and sub-tropical regions. WHO noted Indonesia as a country with the highest DHF cases in Southeast Asia. DHF was an endemic disease, discovered in1954, entered Indonesia in 1968. In Sleman Regency, the number of DHF cases in2017 was 427 (IR 46.31 of 100,000 population with 3 deaths (CFR 0.7%). The number of cases was decreased, compared to 2016. That was recorded at 880 cases (IR 82.7 of 100,000 population with 9 deaths (CFR 1%). Larva-free number (ABJ)  in Sleman Regency was 91.79%, below standard 95%. But the incidence of DHF was decreased. The general objective of study was determined the relationship between ABJ with the Incidence Rate of DHF in Sleman Regency in2013-2017.Method : The population was the incidence of DHF in Sleman Regency in 2013 - 2017, using secondary data. The independent variable was ABJ and the Incidence Rate of DHF as the dependent variable. Univariate analysis was done to get a decription of ABJ and IR DHF. Bivariate analysis was performed to examine the relationship between ABJ and DHF Incidence Rate. The strength of relationship was obtained by regression and correlation analysis.Result : these results was showed a very low relationship and a positive pattern. A coefficient of determination was closed to zerro, indicated no relationship.Conclusion : between 2013-2017, the Larva-free Numbers in Sleman Regency was fluctuated, in 2016-2017 it was below standard. Incidence Rate in Sleman Regency 2013-2017 was fluctuated, the lowest case occurred in 2017. There was a weak negative relationship between ABJ and IR DHF in Sleman Regency namely 2013-2017, but statistically not meaningful.

Abstract

Diarrhea is the third order of disease in the Southeast Asian region that causes death in adolescents. Handwashing behavior is really important in preventing diarrhea in Indonesia. Antiseptic wet wipes and hand sanitizer gel are an acceptable alternative for washing hands with soap and air. The study aimed to determine the percentage reduction of hand sanitizer gel and wet-wipes antiseptic at the quantity of hand germs. This study used a quantitative descriptive study with a true experiment research design with a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects were one respondent who will conduct 6 steps with any treatment 4 times of repetition. The results of univariate analysis showed that hand sanitizer “brand B” and antiseptic wet tissue “brand B” had a percentage reduction in the highest number of germs due to the existing treatment, respectively 80,49% and 73,55%. The percentage reduction of the germs number on the palms was found in hand sanitizer gel “brand B” and antiseptic wet wipes “brand B”.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Lokasi pemerah sapi di dapati beberapa tempat proses pemerahan susu berada di sebelah kandang sapi, dimana lingkungan kandang tersebut terlihat tidak higienis dengan kotoran sapi terlihat menumpuk di dalam dan diluar kandang, serta di beberapa peternakan sapi fasilitas sanitasi untuk cuci tangan tidak dilengkapi sabun. Peneliti mendapati beberapa tempat proses pemerahan susu berada di sebelah kandang sapi, dimana lingkungan kandang tersebut terlihat tidak higienis dengan kotoran sapi terlihat menumpuk di dalam dan diluar kandang, serta di beberapa peternakan sapi fasilitas sanitasi untuk cuci tangan tidak dilengkapi sabun. Para pemerah susu sapi memiliki kebiasaan atau perilaku tidak menggunakan alat pelindung diri (APD) dengan lengkap seperti sarung tangan, masker, baju khusus dan tutup kepala pada saat melakukan pemerahan, tidak mencuci tangan memakai sabun, serta jarang memandikan sapi sesaat sebelum diperah. Sehingga beberapa masalah tersebut dapat berimplikasi pada kemungkinan terjadinya kontaminasi bakteri pada saat memerah susu.Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah analitik observasional. Jenis rancangan penelitian adalah cross sectional. Varibel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah tingkat pendidikan, tingkat pengetahuan tentang C.Albicans, tingkat pengetahuan tentang sanitasi, lama beternak, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah praktik hygiene sanitasi pemerah sapi.Hasil: Tidak Ada Hubungan antara Tingkat Pendidikan dengan Praktik Hygine Sanitasi Pemerah Sapi di Dusun Gondang, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Tidak Ada Hubungan antara Lama Beternak dengan Praktik Hygine Sanitasi Pemerah Sapi di Dusun Gondang, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Abstract

Perkembangan industri yang semakin pesat menyebabkan semakin bertambahnya limbah yang dihasilkan. Limbah yang tidak dikelola dengan baik dapat menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan. Salah satu industri yang belum mengolah limbah dengan baik adalah industri jamu di Yogyakarta. Pada setiap produksi perusahaan ini menghasilkan limbah serbuk daun tempuyung 5 kg/hari atau 150kg bulan. Limbah ini menyebabkan pencemaran udara, emisi gas karbon, sumber penyakit dan penumpukan limbah yang mengakibatkan keterbatasan lahan. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini mengembangkan inovasi bahan pakan dari limbah daun tempuyung menjadi biskuit. Tujuannya untuk mengatasi pencemaran lingkungan dan saat ini harga pakan semakin mahal serta terbatasnya ketersediaan pakan pada saat musim kemarau sehingga biskuit pakan menjadi alternative karena lebih awet. Metode yang digunakan eksperimen skala laboratorium. Dalam pembuatan biskuit pakan ini limbah daun tempuyung dikombinasi dengan jerami dan molasses dimana ada dua perlakuan. Kombinasi limbah daun tempuyung dan jerami pada perlakuan A 1:1 dan perlakuan B 2:1. Kandungan protein pada biskuit A 7,8% dan biskuit B 9%. Biskuit pakan yang dihasilkan berwarna kecoklatan, bau wangi gula, tekstur kasar dan berat 40 gram. Dari hasil yang didapatkan maka limbah daun tempuyung ini layak dijadikan alternative sebagai bahan pakan karena ketersediaan bahan dan nilai gizi terpenuhi serta dapat mengatasi pencemaran lingkungan.

Abstract

Background : The problem of waste in Indonesia is not only a lack of technical, social, economic and cultural, but covers all aspects of human life. Community-based waste management of which is waste bank program. Implementation of waste bank program will not run smoothly without any quality resources and waste banks a good program. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between resources and bank program to the success of the bank trash bins in the city of Yogyakarta.Methods : The study is an observational analytic research with cross sectional approach to study design (cross-sectional) is a research to study the dynamics of the relationship between resources and programs with the success of the bank's bank rubbish bins. Data analysis using chi square test.Results : Based on statistical test revealed that there was no relationship between the amount of garbage bank manager with success in the city of Yogyakarta. This is evidenced from the value (P Value 0.092> 0.05). There is no relationship between education and success garbage bank in Yogyakarta. This is evidenced from the value (P Value 0.299> 0.05). There is no relationship between program success bank banks bins with garbage in the city of Yogyakarta. This is evidenced from the value (P Value 0.665> 0.05). There is no relationship between the bank operational schedule of garbage with garbage bank's success in the city of Yogyakarta. This is evidenced from the value (P Value 0.222> 0.05).Conclusion : This study concluded that there was no correlation between the resources and programs with success bank bank rubbish bins in the city of Yogyakarta.

Abstract

abstrac—Drinking water bottles are often being reused by people to be filled with refill drinking water, which has a high potential to cause cancer. Nearly 75% of women in Soco village, who are working as factory workers and traders, were often seen to use disposable mineral water bottles to place their water into. In other case, there were also women with different occupation who placed their daily drinking water stock in a disposable water bottles, and they often put them in a refrigerator. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of knowledge and the behavior of women/housewives in Soco village towards the usage of disposable water bottles as daily usage. Quantitative research with analytic survey methods, using cross sectional approach. The sample in this study amounted to 75 respondents. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling with research instrumentation. Data analysis using the Chi-Square test. The knowledge of women/housewives’s usage of disposable plastic drink bottles in Soco village is 56% good, and 44% are not good. Good attitude 77,3% and bad 22,7%. Good behavior 54,7% and bad 45,3%. The Chi-Square analysis showed that there was a correlations between the knowledge of housewives of Soco village and the behavior of disposable plastic drink bottles usage (p=0,034, RP=1,818 CI=1,093-3,023) and there was a correlation between women/housewives of Soco village’s attitudes with the behavior of the usage of disposable water bottles (p=0,008, RP=2,112 CI=1,372-3,252). There is a correlation between knowledge and the attitudes of women/housewives in Soco village and the behavior of disposable plastic bottles usage.

Abstract

DHF is still a health problem in the Special Region of Yogyakarta as evidenced by an increase in the CFR rate in 2019 by 0.2%, increasing to 0.4% in 2020. The incidence rate of DHF in Sleman Regency in 2019 was 67.97%. This figure still exceeds the indicators for the strategic plan of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic since 2019 has also demanded the government and the public to be able to adapt to the new-normal as it is today, especially with regulations restricting activities outside the home to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19. During a pandemic like today, apart from the high number of COVID-19 cases, the government is still faced with other health problems, namely the high number of dengue case. The type of research used in this research is quantitative method using a cross sectional research design. The results of the study explained that there was no relationship between knowledge and behavior of PSN-DHF during the COVID-19 pandemic in Santren Hamlet, Caturtunggal Village, Depok Sleman with a p value of 1,000 (p > 0.05). There is no relationship between attitude and PSN-DHF behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic in Santren Hamlet, Caturtunggal Village, Depok Sleman with a p value of 1,000 (p > 0.05). There is no relationship between work activity and PSN-DHF behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic in Santren Hamlet, Caturtunggal Village, Depok Sleman with a p value of 0.872 (p > 0.05). There is no relationship between knowledge and behavior, there is no relationship between attitude and behavior, there is no relationship between work activities and PSN-DHF behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic in Santren Hamlet, Caturtunggal Village, Depok Sleman.

Abstract

Open defecation free (ODF) is a dangerous activity both for oneself and the community.Toilet ownership is one indicator of a clean and healthy life behavior program. Open defecation free can be influenced by factors such as the level of knowledge, attitudes, and ownership of latrines.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge, attitudes and ownership of latrines with open defecation (ODF) in Rejosari, Serut, Gedangsari, Gunung Kidul. Research methods used cross-sectional designs. Technique sampling used a cluster random sampling. Total samples were 82 households. Data analysis used chi square test. Based on the results of the univariate test, 18 respondents (22%) had a lack of level of knowledge, 64 respondents (78%) had a good level of knowledge. Not a good attitude as many as 15 respondents (18.3%) and who have a good attitude as many as 67 respondents (81.7%). Respondents who did not have a toilet were 14 respondents (17.1%) and those who had a toilet were 68 respondents (82.9%). Defecation habits are not good as many as 39 respondents (47.6%) and those who have good bowel habits are 43 respondents (52.4%). Bivariate analysis found the value of RP = 2.222 (95% CI: 1.523-3.224) and the value of p <0.05, the value (p = 0.002) for the level of knowledge. RP = 1,985 (95% CI: 1,350, -2,920) and p value <0.05, value (p = 0.013) for attitude. Rp. 2,159 (95% CI: 1,502-3,102) and p value <0.05, value (p = 0.004) for latrine ownership. There was a relationship between the level of knowledge, attitude and ownership of latrines with open defecation habits (ODF).

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a communicable disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Transmission of SARS-CoV-2 virus mainly through close contact and droplets. Common symptoms of COVID-19 infection include acute respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, and dyspnea. If the discovery of COVID-19 cases is not fast can increase the potential spread of the disease widely and also increase the severity of the disease in the form of ARDS until death. The purpose of this study is to determine sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (NPP), negative predictive value (NPN) and different proportion of symptoms of COVID-19 disease with RT-PCR checks in Puskesmas Depok III Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta.This type of research is descriptive with quantitative approach. The sampling technique used total sampling with 399 samples. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis into the form of tables and narratives. The sensitivity value of seven symptoms of COVID-19 in this study was under the desirable value (≥99%) acceptable value (≥97%). The symptoms of COVID-19 in this study cannot be used for COVID-19 screening in Puskesmas Depok III Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Cafetaria in university must meet the nutritious and healthy snacks for students. The quality of healthy and nutritious food is influenced by hygienic, good sanitation and free-hazard contamination aspects on the canteen management. Poor sanitation and hygiene utensils and storage management can increase food contamination.This study aimed to determine the association of implementation of food and hygiene sanitation with the biological hazard on eating utensils. This study used cross-sectional design  and  was conducted in May 2017. The number of canteen sample were 9 canteen and 15 food handlers. The data were collected by microbiological quality checks on tableware and cookware which were often used by the food handlers in food management, observation sheet of sanitary conditions of eating utensils, and questionnaires to find out the implementation of food sanitation hygiene in the canteen. The analytical statistic method used Fisher test. The results study indicate the implementation of hygiene sanitation principle was not associated  with the existence of biological hazard of germs in  tableware (p = 0,538) and cookware (p = 0,476) variable. Knowledge and practice of food safety needs to be increased through training on food security and food sanitation hygiene among food handlers.
