Abstract

Bilih (Mystacoleucus padangensis) is endemic fish with high economic value in Lake Singkarak. Overexploitation with unselective fishing gears caused population decreasing. Its effect for fishermen income decreasing so they need an effort for fish conservation with the determination of length at first captured and fish sanctuary. The objective of the research is the determination of length at first captured and fish sanctuary as an effort for bilih conservation at Lake Singkarak. The research was done at July and September 2019 in two location namely Aripan and Sumpur. Bilih sample was got by experimental fishing using gillnet with mesh size 5/8; ¾ and 1,0 inci; cast net, and Alahan. Result of the research shown the size for bilih exploitation is ≥ 9.0 cm and used the gillnet with 1.0 inch mesh size. The fish sanctuary at Sumpur River can give some bilih seed as 1.29 million and fish with legal-size and mature condition 182 thousand. Determination of legal size and fish sanctuary give impact for exploitation sustainability and increasing fishermen income at Lake Singkarak.

Abstract

Squamata)parent.Research method be usedexperimental methodwith5treatments and 3 replicated.The treatment exposure process used in treatment A was exposed to the laser point for 50 seconds, the treatment B was exposed to a laser point for 100 seconds, treatment C was exposed to a laser point for 150 seconds, the processing D has been exposed to a laser point of 200 seconds, and K without treatment laser point exposure. The results of the study showed that the best gonadsgrowth occurs on exposed C treatment laser point for 150 seconds.

Abstract

Monitoring and mitigation of organic waste materials is important to do for aquatic environment sustainability. This research aims to analyze hydrogen sulphide gases (H2S) contained in waste water and the index of scallop conditions as biomarkers.This research is conducted using the method of factorial design of 10 green shells that are approximately 6 cm in length is inserted into the aquarium containing 5 liters of sea water that has been contamination with organic waste sourced From supra intensive ponds in accordance with the concentration of treatment series ie; 50%, 35%, 15% and 0 (control) Waste Orgnik.Exposure is made for 96 hours. For the purposes of data index of the condition conducted a measurement of shellfish morfometry and drying shells with a temperature of 800C for 24 hours. The results showed that there were significant differences (p < 0.05) of hydrogen sulphide decline in water-media exposure to shells as well as differences in shell condition indexes based on the treatment concentration series.

Abstract

Fishing technology has always been developed to increase fishing productivity and more eco-friendly the environment. This study of fish schooling characteristics was conducted on a Fixed-Lift Net with LED lights using hydroacoustic method to determine the swimming activity of fish before midnight, at midnight, and after midnight. Experimental fishing method implemented by following fishing operations in the water of Pangkajene Kepulauan Regency in April to August 2019. The study showed that just before midnight, the fish in Fixed-Lift Net area tended to be at a depth 3-6 meters below the surface of the water and is dominated by the emergence of medium group and big group. At midnight the fish tend to be at a depth of 4-16 meters are dominated by the emergence of Small category fish (individually or solitary). Detection of fish in after midnight tends to be at a depth of 3-14 meters and is dominated by the appearance of medium group fish. Medium and large groups indicate large groups of fish. This can be used by fishermen to make the hauling process before and after midnight.

Abstract

The Domestication of broil fish has been successfully carried out. This management effort requires the support of information about the type of feed that is good for the level of gonad maturity to produce a large number of eggs so that it can produce seeds. This study aimed to examine the number of eggs of marinated fish (Marosatherina ladigesi) produced in one spawning by providing different feeds namely Culex sp, Artemia sp., and pellets. This research was conducted for 5 months, starting in April 2019 until August 2019 with a completely randomized experimental design. Natural spawning is carried out in this study by observing differences in spawning systems (mass and individual). The results showed that broilers fed Artemia sp produced the highest number of eggs both in individual and mass spawning, 23-35 items and 83 items, culex sp 19-30 items, and 62 items and pellet feed of 17- 24 items and 43 items respectively. ANOVA test results showed no significant difference between the number of eggs and feed.

Abstract

The Pangandaran lift net is a traditional fishing gear used by fishermen to catch small pelagic species such as anchovies and rebon shrimp. The traditional operation technique makes the lift net become less productive and highly dependent on the strength of the fishermen who operate it. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of power needed to lift the net and catch when haulling on the lift net so that it can be used as a reference as a design tool for towing a roller. The analysis used is the analysis to determine the extent of the structure of fishing gear, catches, Drag force, Buoyancy and Gravity. The results showed that in the lift net which has dimensions of length, width and height measuring 10 x 10 x 15 meters and with a catch per setting of 200 kg, the roller of lift net must be able to lift a minimum load of 4488.4 newtons if the load is already above the surface of the water. However, catches and fishing gear that are lifted by roller charts with a speed of 0.05 meters / second produce a load of 327.2 newtons when in the water column with a density of 1025 kg / m3. Then the minimum power required by a roller chart is 22.44 kw.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the potential superior commodities fisheries and calculate the potential and level of utilization. This research was conducted using survey methods and field observations. Data collection was carried out in two stages, namely primary data collection in the field with direct observation and secondary data using a questionnaire. Sources of data obtained based on information from respondents through interviews based on a list of questions or questionnaires. Analysis of the data used uses scoring with a value function as standardization of values, to determine the source of superior fish and surplus production with the Schaefer approach to calculate abundance and utilization rates. The results showed superior fish resources based on aspects of production value; market price; marketing area; and commodity value-added. grouper commodity is the top seed with a total value of 2,39. abundance or sustainable potential of grouper is 423 tons/year, optimum effort to utilize grouper is 3,470 hand line units, the amount of catch allowed is 339 tons/year, and the utilization rate reaches 70% (Fully Exploited) meaning that the capture effort is maintained with a strict monitor.

Abstract

This research is a study of people's perceptions and participation of mangrove ecosystems in East Sorong District, Sorong City. The study uses descriptive methods with questionnaire and observation data collection techniques. Data processing is done by tabulation and expressed in the form of graphs and diagrams. The results showed 63% of respondents stated that the mangrove ecosystem in their area had diminished. Respondents' perception of mangrove harvesting for firewood needs stated 44% agreed and disagreed 48%, while community perceptions about mangrove cutting for building materials 53% disagreed and 40% agreed. In relation to the conversion of ecosystem functions into ponds / settlements, 65% of respondents disagree. Community participation in the preservation of mangrove ecosystems is very low at 83%. The community hopes for the socialization of the Sorong City Government or observers of the environment in the conservation of mangrove ecosystems.

Abstract

Raja Ampat Regency is known to have tropical marine biodiversity which is estimated to be the richest in the world at the moment. Potential coral reef resources owned by Raja Ampat Regency, are part of the "Coral Triangle" (Coral Triangle) with the coral reef ecosystems in shallow exposure on almost all of the islands. Arborek Island is one of the Marine Protected Areas (MPA) destinations of tourists who enter the Meos Mansar Raja Ampat District, West Papua." Primary data collection was carried out by the line transect method (Line Intercept Transect) along the 50-meters transect at a depth of 8-10 meters, with data analysis covering the percentage of coral cover, the diversity index (H’), evenness index (E), and dominance index (C) ). Based on the results of data analysis, the condition of coral reefs in Arborek Island waters has coral cover values between 11.33% - 64.67%, diversity index between 1.20 - 2.87, evenness index between 0.13 - 0.41, and dominance index between 0.16 - 0.60.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the type, specifications and construction of the Squid hand fishing line. The method used is descriptive method that is to make a description, description, or painting in a systematic, factual and accurate manner about the facts, the characteristics and the relationship between the phenomena investigated. The results of the study found that the specifications and construction of each type of Calamari hand fishing rod were in principle almost the same, but there were differences in the number of lures, bait types, branch line components, main line length and weights. Overall, the main components of Calamara hand fishing construction consist of fishing rods, main lines, branch lines, artificial hooks, swivels, snap and ballast.
