Abstract

Each region has its own characteristics, which can be in the form of culture, tradition, or culinary. Pematang Siantar, as one of the cities in Indonesia, also has its own unique characteristics. One of the characteristics that continues to grow and survive in this city is the Sarsaparilla Cap Badak drink produced by PT Pabrik Es Siantar. This beverage company has been established since 1916 in Pematang Siantar City, founded by a Swiss chemist named Heinrich Surbeck, who was born in 1876. At the beginning of its establishment, the company was known as NV Ijs Fabriek. In 1971, the Julius Hutabarat family successfully acquired 100% of the shares of PT Pabrik Es Siantar. Under the leadership of the Julius Hutabarat family, PT Pabrik Es Siantar managed to reach its heyday by being able to produce up to 40,000 crates per month. The main markets for Cap Badak drinks are cafes, restaurants, and tourist attractions. This product has become one of the economic supports of the surrounding community, especially in creating quality jobs

Abstract

This Research aim to to know and/or description role of motivation in improving officer work productivity Office Sub-District Of Rock of Anyar District Of Foreland of Palas Sub-Province of Bulungan. Type Research which is used in this research if evaluated according to used method hence including research type qualitative. While research data analysis use analysis of interaktif which consist of three step analyse that is : data discount, presentation of data, and withdrawal of conclusion / verification. Abstract

All forms of violence in general and acts of violence against women and children are a form of violation of human rights and constitute a crime against human dignity and discrimination. The state is responsible for the protection, promotion, enforcement and fulfillment of human rights guaranteed by laws and regulations. This research discusses the factors causing criminal acts of violence against women and children as well as the handling of criminal acts of violence against women and children by the women and child protection unit of the Blitar Police Criminal Investigation Unit. The type of research used in this writing is empirical juridical research to determine the conditions that occur in the field. The research approach uses a qualitative approach with the legal materials used being primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials. The results of this research show that the factors causing criminal acts of violence against women and children in the Blitar Regency area are legal awareness, patriarchal culture, economic factors and poverty, allegations of infidelity and early marriage factors. From this research it can be explained that the handling efforts were carried out using a non-penal and penal approach and the obstacles experienced were in the form of internal and external obstacles from the police

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the roles and challenges faced by the Pematang Siantar General Election Commission (KPU) from 2019 to 2024. In 2019, the Pematang Siantar KPU prepared for the general elections to be held in 2020. However, challenges arose when the Covid-19 outbreak hit in 2020, hampering various activities of the Pematang Siantar KPU. Another challenge arose in 2021 when one of the election winners, Mr. Asner, passed away. Despite facing many challenges, the Pematang Siantar KPU has made innovations in carrying out its duties. In the following years, the situation began to be controlled, especially in 2022-2023, where the Pematang Siantar KPU returned to its normal duties to prepare for the 2024 elections. The roles and challenges faced by the Pematang Siantar KPU during the 2019-2024 period will be the main focus of this paper. The research method used is the historical method with four stages. First, data collection is done through digital news and oral interviews. Second, the data is verified for authenticity and credibility. Third, the data were combined to be analyzed from 2019 to 2024. Finally, the results of the analysis are presented in a paper that highlights the different roles and challenges faced by the Pematang Siantar KPU, especially in critical years such as 2020 and 2021

Abstract

Gedung Juang 45 Pematang Siantar is a historical building that played an important role in the struggle for Indonesian independence. With its long history, ranging from the colonial period to the physical revolution, this building reflects important changes in the development of the city of Pematang Siantar. Despite its significant historical value, the current condition of the building is concerning and requires special attention for its preservation. In this research, a historical methodology will be used that involves four stages: research of documentary and oral sources, utilization of oral tradition as part of cultural heritage, verification to criticize historical materials, interpretation to combine verified materials, and historiography that involves writing history. Gedung Juang 45 had a multifunctional role in its time, but is currently in a neglected condition and requires conservation efforts. Challenges faced include natural factors, human interference, and lack of institutional support. The existence of Gedung Juang 45 emphasizes the importance of patriotism and sustainable history education. The role of the community in conveying stories through oral tradition is key to enriching local and national history.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the perceptions of people in Pematangsiantar City towards changes in transportation choices, particularly between conventional and online transportation. A qualitative approach was used in data collection, through direct interviews and observational surveys in Pematangsiantar City. The data collected was then analyzed to identify the factors influencing these changes and their impact on daily life. The results showed a significant shift in people's preference towards online transportation, influenced by considerations of time efficiency and convenience. In addition, the research identifies the challenges and opportunities that come with this change, providing an in-depth look at the dynamics of transportation transformation in Pematangsiantar City. The impact of these changes is also seen in the decline in the income of conventional transportation drivers such as Angkot and Becak. The implications of these findings can be used by the government and transportation service providers to design more adaptive policies and improve service quality to optimally meet community needs

Abstract

This research study is part of City History. Metro Siantar is the first local mass media published in Pematangsiantar City in 2003 under the auspices of Jawa Pos National Network. Initially known as Pos Metro Siantar, this newspaper initially reviewed crime news with sales coverage in Pematangsiantar City and Simalungun Regency. In 2006, Pos Metro Siantar changed its editorial name to Metro Siantar and shifted its focus to general daily news of the people of Pematangsiantar City and Simalungun Regency. This research uses a historical study method that includes topic selection, heuristics (collection of sources), criticism or verification of sources, interpretation, and historical historiography. The results showed that Metro Siantar played an important role as a pioneer of local mass media in Pematangsiantar City and Simalungun Regency

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the history, cultural influence, and economic role of Roti Ketawa as a typical souvenir of Pematangsiantar City. This research method uses a historical approach by collecting sources from the internet, journals, and through interviews with business owners and consumers of Roti Ketawa. In addition, interview techniques were also carried out with a number of respondents who were experienced in the production and consumption of Roti Ketawa. Qualitative data analysis is used to summarize information from interviews and sources collected. From the results of this study, it is concluded that Roti Ketawa is not only an ordinary culinary product, but also a symbol of joy and optimism that plays an important role in shaping the city's identity. Roti Ketawa also makes a significant contribution to the local economy and tourism, making it an attraction for tourists. However, sales of Roti Ketawa face challenges in attracting the younger generation as consumers. The implications of these findings can help Roti Ketawa business owners in designing marketing strategies that are more appealing to the younger generation. In addition, local governments can also utilize this information to support tourism promotion and local economic development in Pematangsiantar City

Abstract

This research investigates the implementation of Green Practice practices at the Stuja Coffee Cipete Restaurant with the aim of increasing understanding and knowledge of these practices. Qualitative verification methods were used with interviews and observations at Stuja Coffee. The research results show that Stuja Coffee needs to increase energy efficiency and use organic and seasonal ingredients. The SWOT analysis revealed a lack of education on environmentally friendly practices for employees and customers. However, this restaurant has the advantage of using environmentally friendly products and supporting environmental standards. The research results show that the percentage of implementing environmentally friendly practices at Stuja Coffee reached 52% overall. Recommendations include the continuation and development of environmentally friendly practices to achieve perfection. Increased education for employees and customers is needed. This research contributes to understanding the challenges and potential of environmentally friendly practices in the restaurant industry, while providing insight into the steps that Stuja Coffee and similar restaurants can take to increase the positive impact of their environmentally friendly practices

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the services to the elderly in Tresna Elderly UPTD Social Institution of Highways Rahayu Bulungan as well as to identify factors supporting and servicing the elderly Elderly Tresna UPTD Social Institution of Highways Rahayu at Bulungan. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research is the collection of data obtained in the form of primary and secondary data, the data obtained directly from the sources (informants) with a research focus include Procedures, Cost of Services, Program Services, Facilities and Infrastructure, as well as Supporting factors and Services inhibitors elderly On Tresna elderly UPTD Social Institution of Highways Rahayu. In the determination of Key Informants researchers using purposive sampling technique in which information or data collected by selecting informants who are considered competent to be a source of data, including the Head of Social Institution Tresna Elderly UPTD Marga Rahayu and staff as complementary informants and other informers are the elderly who stay at home as well as the families who came to visit by using Accidental Sampling techniques. From the results of this research is that the services provided to older persons displaced in meeting their needs has been carried out based on the number of human resources, facilities and infrastructure, as well as the budget available, it can be seen that the government's efforts to cope with the number of abandoned elderly who have not received perceived welfare still lacking. Although the number of elderly people who get welfare services that are in UPTD Tresna Elderly Social Institution of Highways Rahayu based on available capacity, but significant in reducing the number of neglect of elderly who are in the province of North Borneo.
