Abstract

In the development of increasingly advanced technology, the security of a data is something that must be considered in maintaining the confidentiality of information. The data contained in the file contain information that can only be known by certain parties. In general, files are stored or shared into a storage that can be accessed using the internet or known as cloud storage. There are ways to secure information on a file so that it cannot be hacked or read to unauthorized parties, namely by using cryptographic methods. Cryptography is a technique to improve the security aspect of information. Cryptography is used to convert information that can be read into unreadable and return an information that was previously unreadable to be legible. In this study cryptography uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm and Google Drive cloud storage services.

Abstract

SME’s songket weaving is a small business that utilizes information technology as a business strategy such as marketing tools that penetrate national borders. The famous SME’s songket woven fabric is in Palembang, where songket woven fabric is a typical handicraft of Palembang city. This study is aimed at testing and analyzing the factors that influence information technology utilization in the songket woven SME’s. The method that supports the use of information technology is the Thompson method. The factors analyzed were Social Factors, Affect, Complexity, Job Fit, Long Term Consequences and Facilitating Conditions that utilize of information technology. The sample of this study is 90 employees of 25 SME’s songket woven cloth who have used information technology in their business processes. The results of this study are the Affect, Complexity, Job Fit, Long-Term Consequences variables that do not affect the use of information technology, while the Social Factor, and Facilitating Conditions influence the use of information technology..

Abstract

Alumni are an important asset for universities that must be embraced and developed. Alumni can provide a various constructive inputs to universities and are expected to be able to develop networks outside the agency and improve the good image of the almamater to the community. A college should provide a forum that can provide data of alumni for evaluating educational outcomes and improving quality to prepare accreditation assessment. An alumni application system that is able to recap all of alumni data and other data needed will certainly improve the accreditation assessment results. Based on these problems, we need an alumni application that can solve the problems effectively and efficiently. In this study a web-based alumni application was designed using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) method based on the points of the diploma study program accreditation assessment points by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT). The final product of this research is the design application of information technology’s alumni at Politeknik Negeri Padang. Based on the results of the testing design, this application is effectively used to manage alumni data and match with the alumni data management standards contained in the evaluation standard of the diploma accreditation chapter evaluation of graduates.

Abstract

Indonesia is a rich country of culture and language. Sometimes the citizen migrates inside the country for job or education reasons. The newcomer from one region to the other region usually need to know the local language, especially Javanese, because of so many universities in the region. Therefore, this paper describes the effort to develop an android dictionary application of Indonesian-Javanese. Mobile application android is chosen in this proposal because of its popularity among Indonesian. Several features are embedded in the application, with all of the Javanese language levels. The application has the ability to recognize the voice and generate the pronunciation sound. The application is able to work both online and offline. Questionnaire results show 80% of users agree with the user interface, 60% say the application is easy to use, and 65% say of its usefulness.

Abstract

Vending machine money changer is made to help stalls, mini market or bank to exchange money and making easier exchange money to coins. This device based on Arduino Uno microcontroller to control the device. This tool uses TCS3200 color sensor to detect color of Rp 5,000, dc motor to withdraw money and servo motor to eject coin Rp 1,000. In this device LCD is used to view how to use vending machine and the amount of coins out.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Bengkalis Subdistrict have not been maximized in utilizing information technology to increase sales of products owned. This is due to the lack of utilizing media promotion, lack of knowledge of business people about information technology and limited market access. According to the results of direct observations to several business actors in Bengkalis Regency, product marketing was carried out by entrusting products to food and mini-market stores in Bengkalis Regency. This study aims to build a decision-making system for the selection of SMEs in Bengkalis Regency by using the Unified Modeling Language design model, which consists of Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams and Sequence Diagrams. In determining the decision to determine the right promotional media the method used is Fuzzy Mamdani, which consists of five criteria, namely promotion costs, duration, place, market segment, and ad scale. While alternatives as decisions are television, radio, newspapers, internet and pamphlets. Abstract

Corporate culture can be used as an effective driving force in achieving goals in accordance with the organization's vision and mission. An effective work culture can unite the ways of thinking, behaving and acting throughout the organization, making it easier to establish and implement the vision, mission and strategy in the corporation, and able to strengthen teamwork within the corporation, and eliminate internal frictions that arise. As one of the steps to maintain the existence of the company amid uncertain global conditions, it is necessary to evaluate the organization of its divisions to always cling to Corporate Culture. Based on the evaluation evaluation conducted previously, almost 50% of employees at PT XYZ Laboratories disagreed with the research conducted by the division. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a system that can act as a transparency in management decision making. By using the rule based method that is used as a selection method and the TOPSIS method that is carried out for division decision making is chosen, it is hoped that this system can be useful and in accordance with management needs. After going through the testing process, in general this system produces a total percentage of 100% on the success of the item test in the testing process of the 10 items tested. Thus the application meets the requirements for making the program, which is readable and valid.

Abstract

Have been created a quad-ridge horn (QRH) antennas the working frequency at 8GHz - 12 GHz. This type of antenna is commonly used in the RADAR (Radio Detection And Ranging) and Detection Systems. The design results will be simulated using WIPL-D software to find out whether the design results are appropriate or not with the desired conditions. The next stage is the manufacture of antennas and the entire implementation of the fabrication carried out in the lathe service workshop to obtain precise size results. Because the size of the antenna is small (10cm - 20cm), with a thickness of ±10mm stainless-steel material, so it is not possible to do it alone. The quad-ridged horn antenna performance will be observed in testing using a vector network analyzer (VNA) measuring device whose working frequency ranges from 100KHz - 8.5GHz. The measurement results obtained, QRH antenna works at 8.33 GHz frequency. With the difference in antenna working frequency practically it will affect other variables such as return loss, VSWR, gain and antenna radiation diagram. This is due to differences in the dimensions of the antenna which has a shift in the value of several centimeters (cm) when in the fabrication process.

Abstract

Technological developments are happening very rapidly, more and more new technologies are emerging. Today, technology is dominated by a centralized system. New technology that is quite interesting to study, one of which is Blockchain. Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology that enables direct (peer-to-peer) transactions without the need to involve trusted third parties. Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) are one of the supporting factors for economic development in Indonesia. For now, many MSME activities use digital media such as the internet using facilities like e-commerce or market places. In developing for business, MSME need capital for MSME operational activities can run. In this case, support from financial institutions is needed such as banking, investors or other funding sources. However, to be able to access financing from these parties, requirements and bureaucracy are quite difficult. The purpose of this study is to create a system that can make it easier for MSME to get financing with easy terms with easy bureaucracy as well. This system is supported by Blockchain technology to store transaction data where security and authenticity of the data can be guaranteed, and provide transparency of the financing process to all relevant parties.

Abstract

Office stationery procurement information system in each agency has a dynamic nature. Barriers to the work of an information system management flow can be fatal in a decision making and operational performance of an agency. The number of human resources in an agency will greatly affect the needs of stationery in daily work activities because it is a basic need in the world of work. When miscalculations occur, a long processing time and a lack of information generated, can affect cooperation with suppliers and state expenditure through the state treasury service office. Office stationery procurement system consists of many interconnected objects, the OOP (Object Oriented Programming) method that has a programming pattern based on the object concept is the right method to respond to these problems. In addition, the method is flexible in the sense that it will be easy to change, develop and maintain. The process of making the system starts from analyzing the system that is running and developed into a new system, using the programming language VB.net and MySQL-Front as a data storage. It is expected that with the construction of an office stationery procurement information system, it can run smoothly, so that recording, calculating and storing data is easier and does not require a long time.
