Abstract

General Background The foundational destination-competitiveness literature establishes that an enabling environment—composed of regulatory frameworks, policies, and institutional quality—serves as a core pillar determining how effectively a country can convert its raw resources into visitor value. Specific Background Assessing these structural relationships typically involves comparing overall sector performance against sub-indices tracking business environments, health, environmental sustainability, and price structures. Knowledge Gap However, the relative quantitative weights of these determinants are rarely measured alongside price metrics, and detailed institutional distance-to-frontier benchmarking remains scarce for emerging Central Asian destinations. Aims This study quantifies the association between overall tourism competitiveness and four enabling sub-indices across ten leading global economies and Uzbekistan using 2024 index data. Results The empirical analysis demonstrates that the policy-and-enabling-conditions sub-index is the strongest correlate of overall competitiveness ($r = 0.87$), proving that institutional quality is a first-order determinant. Conversely, Uzbekistan's enabling environment is globally weak, with its business environment ranking 82nd and travel prioritization ranking 68th. Its price competitiveness index ($4.05$) sits far below the global frontier ($6.20$), exposing a strategic price illusion. Novelty This paper introduces a quantitative approach to evaluating the policy-price nexus in Central Asia, challenging the traditional reliance on cost-based advantages. Implications Strategic development architectures must shift away from fragile price-led strategies and prioritize institutional, business environment, and regulatory upgrades that act as multiplier mechanisms for wider infrastructure investments. Keywords Tourism Competitiveness, Institutional Quality, Policy, Price Competitiveness, Uzbekistan Key Findings Highlights The policy and enabling conditions sub-index exhibits the strongest positive correlation with overall destination competitiveness among all evaluated pillars. Distance-to-frontier comparisons reveal that the emerging economy lags behind global benchmark leaders across both general regulatory and sector-specific prioritization metrics. The apparent competitive advantage built on lower prices is an illusion, as the local price index remains significantly below the regional and global frontiers.

Abstract

General Background The global proliferation of Korean pop culture has significantly transformed global and local markets. Specific Background Capitalizing on this phenomenon, multinational companies increasingly utilize Asian idol figures and corporate reputation strategies to stimulate buying interest. Knowledge Gap Despite widespread adoption, previous empirical studies present conflicting evidence regarding whether international promotional figures directly dictate consumer choices, particularly lacking comprehensive models that integrate mediating behavioral factors. Aims This study investigates how idol figures and corporate reputation shape buying choices, specifically examining buying interest as a mediating variable among youth fans in Sidoarjo, Indonesia. Results Path analysis reveals that idol figures and corporate reputation positively stimulate buying interest. Interestingly, idol figures do not directly dictate final buying choices, whereas corporate reputation and buying interest possess a significant direct relationship with buyer choices. Furthermore, buying interest successfully mediates the relationship between idol figures and final buyer choices. Novelty This research highlights that idol figures are insufficient as standalone drivers of sales; their presence must necessarily cultivate preliminary buying interest to translate into actual commercial transactions. Implications Marketing practitioners must prioritize long-term corporate reputation and design campaigns that actively foster genuine product curiosity, rather than relying exclusively on the popularity of idol figures to secure immediate commercial transactions. Highlights: Corporate reputation directly dictates final buyer transactions. International music idols fail to directly secure direct sales. Buying interest successfully mediates the pathway from promotional figures to final commercial choices. Abstract

General Background The rapid advancement of digital financial technology has revolutionized cashless payment systems globally. Specific Background Payment applications provide users with seamless transaction capabilities and various marketing incentives, which heavily attract university scholars. Knowledge Gap Despite the widespread adoption of these digital payment platforms, empirical studies show inconsistencies regarding how specific software attributes and marketing incentives shape excessive spending habits. Aims This study investigates the role of perceived convenience and promotional offerings in shaping scholar spending habits, utilizing payment applications as a mediating variable. Results Path analysis of data from university scholars indicates that promotional offerings significantly stimulate platform adoption, whereas perceived convenience does not determine application usage. Furthermore, both perceived convenience and promotional offerings directly stimulate excessive spending. Payment applications also act as a significant mediator, primarily translating promotional offerings into impulsive purchasing habits. Novelty This research demonstrates that marketing incentives, rather than platform usability, are the primary catalysts triggering application adoption and subsequent impulsive purchasing among scholars. Implications Developers and financial regulators must recognize that aggressive marketing incentives within digital payment ecosystems strongly trigger impulsive purchasing, necessitating better financial literacy initiatives for young consumers. Highlights: Marketing incentives significantly increase platform adoption rates among young adults. Perceived convenience shapes purchasing habits directly without relying on application usage. Cashless payment applications successfully mediate the pathway between discount offerings and excessive spending. Abstract

General Background The global beauty industry experiences rapid growth driven by rising cosmetic demand and international beauty trends. Specific Background Skintific, an international cosmetic company formulating items in Canada, recently entered the highly competitive market, necessitating strong marketing strategies to retain buyers. Knowledge Gap Despite extensive research on cosmetics, previous empirical studies present conflicting evidence regarding whether physical item characteristics and corporate recognition directly determine long-term consumer retention. Aims This study investigates how brand awareness and product quality shape customer loyalty, specifically examining consumer satisfaction as a mediating variable among university students. Results Path analysis reveals that brand awareness and product quality positively determine consumer satisfaction. Interestingly, product quality does not directly dictate customer loyalty, whereas brand awareness and consumer satisfaction possess a significant direct relationship with buyer retention. Furthermore, consumer satisfaction successfully mediates the pathways from both brand recognition and physical characteristics to final customer loyalty. Novelty This research demonstrates that physical cosmetic characteristics alone fail to retain buyers; achieving long-term retention strictly requires building preliminary post-purchase fulfillment. Implications Cosmetic companies must prioritize comprehensive marketing campaigns that build corporate recognition and ensure post-purchase fulfillment rather than relying exclusively on item features to secure long-term buyer retention. Highlights: • Corporate recognition directly establishes long-term buyer retention. • Physical item characteristics require mediation to successfully retain users. • Post-purchase fulfillment bridges the gap between item features and continued repurchasing. Keywords: Brand Recognition, Product Characteristics, Post-Purchase Fulfillment, Buyer Retention, Mediating Variable

Abstract

General Background The beauty industry in Indonesia experiences intense competition driven by high consumer demand for skincare items. Specific Background To build consumer trust and secure market share, cosmetic manufacturers like Scarlett utilize strong corporate reputation and high standard product characteristics alongside celebrity endorsements. Knowledge Gap Despite the prevalence of celebrity endorsements, previous empirical research rarely examines their specific role as a moderating variable interacting with physical item characteristics and corporate reputation. Aims This study investigates how product quality and brand image determine purchasing decisions for Scarlett products, specifically analyzing the moderating role of brand ambassadors among university students. Results Quantitative analysis reveals that both product quality and brand image positively and significantly determine consumer purchasing choices. Furthermore, the presence of a brand ambassador significantly moderates and strengthens the relationship between physical product characteristics, corporate reputation, and final buying choices. Novelty This research introduces a novel framework by positioning celebrity endorsers not merely as direct drivers of sales, but as critical moderating catalysts that amplify the effects of underlying product and brand attributes. Implications Cosmetic producers must optimize physical item standards and maintain a positive corporate reputation while strategically deploying celebrity endorsers to maximize market acquisition and consumer buying choices. Highlights:  • Physical item characteristics significantly drive buyer choices. • Positive corporate reputation directly stimulates skincare acquisitions. • Celebrity endorsers successfully amplify core marketing attributes. Abstract

General Background The rapid expansion of digital transformation has fundamentally reshaped the global retail landscape, particularly within the digital apparel sector. Specific Background Amidst fierce market competition, digital platforms like Shopee strive to capture young consumer demographics by optimizing various transaction elements. Knowledge Gap Although factors driving online transactions are widely recognized, empirical studies show inconsistencies regarding how financial costs, physical merchandise standards, and electronic word-of-mouth interact simultaneously through post-transaction fulfillment to stimulate commercial choices. Aims This study investigates how pricing, item attributes, and online ratings determine buying intentions, specifically examining the mediating role of customer fulfillment within the digital apparel industry. Results Quantitative path analysis of university students reveals that pricing, item attributes, and online ratings directly and significantly stimulate buying intentions. Furthermore, physical merchandise standards uniquely dictate direct customer fulfillment, whereas customer satisfaction serves as a crucial mediating variable connecting these antecedent factors to final purchasing choices. Novelty This research demonstrates the distinct pathways of commercial decision-making, highlighting that while financial costs and peer evaluations drive immediate interest, sustained post-transaction fulfillment relies strictly on tangible physical standards. Implications Digital retail managers must implement competitive pricing frameworks and encourage authentic peer evaluations while prioritizing physical manufacturing standards to maximize consumer fulfillment and long-term commercial acquisition. Highlights: Competitive costs and electronic word-of-mouth directly stimulate consumer purchasing choices. Physical merchandise characteristics establish strong post-transaction fulfillment among young demographic shoppers. Client gratification successfully mediates the pathway toward final commercial transactions. Keywords: Customer Satisfaction, Apparel Platform, Pricing Strategy, Buying Intentions, Online Ratings

Abstract

General Background Technological advancements significantly alter contemporary consumer behavior by facilitating seamless access to online product information. Specific Background The male facial care market is experiencing intense competition, prompting companies to utilize online media for broader consumer reach and heightened credibility. Knowledge Gap While online strategies are prevalent, the exact mediating role of virtual platforms in translating corporate perceptions and consumer confidence into actual sales remains underexplored within specific male grooming segments. Aims This study analyzes the direct relationship of corporate perception and consumer confidence on buying choices, alongside examining online promotion as an intervening variable for male grooming products. Results Path analysis of 52 respondents revealed that corporate perception and consumer confidence directly dictate buying choices. Furthermore, corporate perception significantly shapes online promotional interactions, whereas consumer confidence does not. However, both corporate perception and consumer confidence successfully drive final transactions through online promotional mediation. Novelty The research delineates the distinct pathways where online platforms successfully mediate both corporate perception and consumer confidence, despite the latter failing to directly alter the online promotional variable itself. Implications Grooming companies should prioritize integrating strong corporate reputations with interactive online campaigns to secure competitive advantages and accelerate consumer acquisition. Highlights:• Reputation alongside consumer confidence directly shapes buying choices regarding male facial care items. • Online platforms successfully mediate relationships connecting corporate perception with final transactions. • Consumer certainty fails to directly alter online promotional interactions despite mediating sales. Specific Background A historical leisure site in Seloliman village possesses significant natural assets but remains largely unrecognized by broader domestic audiences due to declining visitor numbers. Knowledge Gap Despite widespread technological adoption globally, local rural destinations often lack comprehensive digital information systems and promotional platforms to attract modern travelers. Aims This study formulates and implements an integrated promotional strategy utilizing digital and visual platforms to elevate destination recognition and rural prosperity. Results The qualitative intervention successfully delivered a cinematic promotional video, an interactive website, stage banners, and barcode-integrated physical posters. These coordinated efforts provided accurate site information, heightened traveler awareness, and positively contributed to local financial income. Novelty This research demonstrates the synergistic application of synchronized physical and online promotional materials specifically tailored for rural heritage site recovery. Implications Rural stakeholders must adopt continuous social networking management and unified promotional strategies, including the potential appointment of local ambassadors, to sustain visitor visibility and continuous financial growth. General Background The rapid growth of internet adoption forces modern businesses to utilize social media for brand awareness and market survival. Specific Background Kraft Food Ciss, a culinary microenterprise, previously relied entirely on traditional commercial practices and utilized rudimentary product labels without any digital presence. Knowledge Gap Previous literature addressing digital marketing training for microenterprises lacks practical implementations of targeted online advertising and integrated link platforms. Aims This study executes a comprehensive digital marketing strategy utilizing social media management to modernize promotional activities for Kraft Food Ciss. Results The implementation of visual logo redesigns, Instagram and TikTok account management, HeyLink integration, and TikTok Ads placement drastically shifted consumer traffic, evidenced by promotional video views surging from 323 to 2200 and increased audience engagement. Novelty This intervention introduces a synchronized digital framework combining algorithmic advertising, interactive video creation, and centralized link directories specifically tailored for rural culinary operations. Implications Microenterprises must abandon exclusively traditional commerce and adopt high-quality visual content creation alongside targeted digital campaigns to secure broader market reach and ensure continuous business sustainability. Abstract

General Background Human resource planning ensures organizational productivity by matching personnel availability with task demands. Specific Background At Aisyiyah Siti Fatimah Tulangan Hospital, inconsistent personnel calculations across multiple departments caused unjustified labor increments and operational inefficiencies. Knowledge Gap Previous workforce evaluations lacked a uniform standardized approach, resulting in unaligned data specifically for the pharmacy, laboratory, and registration administration units. Aims This study measures labor demands and personnel balance utilizing a unified framework to standardize workforce planning across all clinical departments. Results Quantitative analysis revealed an available working time of 113,460 minutes annually alongside a standard allowance factor of 0.1786. The calculations identified a deficit of one employee in both the pharmacy and laboratory units, which require 15 and 10 personnel respectively. Conversely, the registration administration unit exhibited a surplus of three employees compared to the calculated requirement of 11 staff members. Novelty This research resolves previous organizational misalignments by formulating a unified mathematical standardization for all clinical departments based on realistic task constraints. Implications Institutional management must implement strategic recruitment for understaffed units and execute personnel transfers for departments with surplus labor to sustain operational productivity. Highlights: Quantitative analysis identified an available working time of 113,460 minutes annually for clinical personnel. Pharmacy and laboratory departments experience personnel deficits requiring immediate recruitment strategies. The registration administration department exhibits a labor surplus necessitating internal personnel transfers.
