Abstract

Viral phenomena on social media have become an important part of the life of modern society that affect communication patterns and social behavior. This study aims to analyze the impact of virality on people's social behavior, especially in the context of consumption and social interaction. The method used is descriptive qualitative with literature studies as data sources. The results of the study show that virality is able to accelerate the dissemination of information as well as affect consumptive patterns and the way individuals build social identity. The positive impact can be seen in economic opportunities, especially for MSME actors who can take advantage of virality to increase market reach. However, virality also poses negative risks such as impulsive consumerism, social pressure, and the spread of inaccurate information due to low digital literacy. Therefore, it is important to increase digital literacy so that the public can respond to viral phenomena critically and responsiblye.

Abstract

This paper examines the limitations of interest-based monetary policy in managing inflation and maintaining economic balance. While conventional macroeconomic frameworks rely heavily on interest rate adjustments as the primary stabilization tool, such approaches are often insufficient in addressing structural disruptions, supply-side constraints, and behavioural dynamics within the economy. Drawing on Islamic economic principles, this study proposes a riba-free macroeconomic framework that emphasizes real-sector anchoring, risk-sharing financial mechanisms, and strategic alignment among economic agents. By integrating these elements, the paper offers an alternative perspective in which economic stability is achieved through structural and institutional design rather than reliance on interest-based instruments. The findings suggest that a riba-free system provides not only a normative foundation but also a conceptually coherent approach to managing inflation and promoting sustainable economic balance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the model of children’s character education from the perspective of Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyah and its relevance to contemporary character education. The study focuses on the concepts of tawhid, role modeling, habituation, self-control, and environmental supervision as the foundation for children’s character building. This research employs a library research method with a qualitative approach. The data were collected through documentation studies from the works of Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyah, scientific journals, Islamic education books, and other relevant academic sources. The data analysis technique used content analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the character education model according to Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyah places tawhid as the primary foundation for shaping children’s morals and personality. Character education is implemented through parental and teacher role modeling, habituation of positive behavior, spiritual development, and supervision of children’s social environments. This educational model is highly relevant to modern educational needs because it integrates intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects in shaping the character of the younger generation. Therefore, the concept of character education proposed by Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyah can serve as an alternative holistic and contextual Islamic educational model.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of food self-sufficiency in the Qur’an through an analysis of QS. al-Nahl/16:11 based on Tafsir Al-Mishbah by M. Quraish Shihab. The study is motivated by the growing urgency of food security amid contemporary global challenges, including rapid population growth, climate change, agricultural land conversion, and dependence on food imports. Within the context of Muslim societies, food self-sufficiency is not merely perceived as an economic and developmental issue, but also as a theological, moral, and ethical responsibility associated with humanity’s role as khalifah (vicegerent) on earth. This research aims to analyze the Qur’anic concept of food self-sufficiency, to explore M. Quraish Shihab’s interpretation of QS. al-Nahl/16:11, and to examine its relevance to the development of agricultural technology and contemporary food security efforts. The study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. Primary data are derived from Tafsir Al-Mishbah, while secondary sources include scholarly books, academic journals, and other relevant literature. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis and descriptive-analytical methods. The findings reveal that QS. al-Nahl/16:11 emphasizes the integral relationship between divine grace, natural mechanisms, and human responsibility in managing food resources. M. Quraish Shihab’s interpretation highlights the importance of tafakkur (reflective contemplation), the utilization of knowledge, and the advancement of agricultural technology in a productive, sustainable, and ecologically balanced manner. Consequently, the Qur’anic concept of food self-sufficiency transcends mere production independence and instead underscores the integration of divine values, scientific knowledge, and technological innovation as a pathway toward equitable and spiritually meaningful food security.
