Abstract

An automotive spare parts manufacturing plant in Bekasi Regency, Indonesia, has created a closed-loop sustainability project to address the essential issue of food waste management. With a canteen that serves 3,500 employees every day, the facility creates a lot of food waste, which has traditionally caused environmental and financial problems. The activity-integrated approach highlights the potential for novel waste management strategies to promote sustainability in industrial settings. The research frequently treats waste management and resource production (such as decorative fish ponds) as distinct domains, with a scarcity of studies focusing on sustainability practices within facilities catering to large employee populations with internal systems (such as canteens) that generate significant waste. As a result, it closes the gap by offering a case study of how an internal waste stream. The major goal is to create and execute a closed-loop system that converts food waste into a useful resource, maggots, for feeding decorative fish. Similarly, examine the economic benefits of eliminating the need for commercially supplied fish feed, as well as the environmental impact of decreasing food waste through an integrated waste management approach. This study employs a case study technique to analyze the deployment and consequences of a closed-loop sustainability system at an automotive spare parts manufacturing facility. The method provides for a thorough analysis of the procedures, obstacles and triumphs that come with repurposing food waste for maggot cultivation and fish feeding. The adoption of the closed-loop system successfully diverted a significant volume of food waste from the canteen, decreasing the environmental impact of typical trash disposal methods. Furthermore, the project resulted in significant cost savings by eliminating the need to buy commercial fish feed. As a result, the closed-loop technology helped to reduce the facilities overall carbon footprint by reducing waste and the requirement for externally supplied feed ingredients, which generally demand significant resources to produce and deliver. The discovery establishes a feasible approach for deploying closed-loop sustainability systems in industrial settings. It demonstrates how merging waste management and resource generation can improve sustainability while reducing operational expenses. Furthermore, demonstrated financial benefits, such as cost savings and potential profitability, can pique the interest of industry stakeholders for sustainable and economically viable solutions. The study also emphasizes the environmental benefits of reducing waste and reducing reliance on commercially produced feed, which contributes to a lower carbon footprint and reduces the environmental impact of manufacturing processes. Finally, the effort contributes to the company's CSR profile, demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship and appropriate resource management, which improves the companies reputation and employee morale.

Abstract

Online banking applications have transformed financial management by allowing users to access banking services anytime and anywhere. The effectiveness of the online banking apps have been established through varied sources but there is a paucity in the literatures locally as well as utilization of the evaluative perceptions of Purisimian students.  This study investigates the effectiveness of the online banking apps among the college students of Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion applying a mixed-method methodology using explanatory sequential design. Sequentially, the quantitative data were collected from the randomly selected 332 respondents through a validated and pilot-tested researcher-made questionnaire. Subsequently, the qualitative data were gathered from the six participants through an in-depth interview. The study investigated the online banking apps' effectiveness across context, input, process, and product dimensions considering the demographic variables like age, sex, and department affiliation. Quantitative analysis utilized frequency counts, percentages, t-test, and analysis of variance, while the qualitative analysis followed Colaizzi's method. Results showed that online banking apps are perceived as highly effective overall, but their effectiveness varies notably based on the sociodemographic profile such as age and department affiliation. While users generally perceive these apps positively, differences in perception exist regarding their context, input, process, and product among distinct demographic groups. This research enriches the literature by highlighting the need to consider user demographics in designing online banking apps to enhance user experience and satisfaction.

Abstract

Family dynamics impact comfort and happiness. 801 students were surveyed using a descriptive correlational study and 0.897-reliable researcher-made questionnaire. The study found that open communication, quality time, respect, responsibility, and supporting a peacemaker during tough times strengthened family ties. Parental honesty and dependability were closest. Most families have money and work-life issues. Number of children, family members' traits, parents' connection, and gentle or hard upbringing affected family dynamics. Family relationships are less impacted by the "mix" of people in a family, others' influence, and life events such an affair, divorce, trauma, unemployment, homelessness, an absent parent, or a chronically ill or disabled child Spending meals with the family, feeling like their family supports their objectives, enjoying family activities, feeling like they would still prefer growing up in their family, and asking their parents for help were most essential. Being closer to extended family than their own, mediating rather than leading healthy family relations, and seeking professional family help were the least common. Family issues should be matched with academic chances, says study. They value family, self-drive, and academics. Reclaiming a habit garnered family support, but downplaying the risk to their schooling and addressing cultural differences in extended families that may create problems was neglected. Family dynamics shaped students' behavior, including prioritizing family needs and interests over personal matters, showing concern for parents and other family members, offering support in any way possible, solving family problems, using a strength-based approach to help family members cope with difficult situations, responding to family-related comments, and trusting Minor issues reduce sibling strife. They use family strengths to tackle problems. Though connected, family factors like sex and money affected student behavior differently at home and school. A number of traits and ties were similar.

Abstract

In this disruption era, ventures must foster the transition of their digital transformation. Digital transformation can be obtained by the entry of the accelerator into the process. Siemens – Advanced Manufacturing Transformation Centre (AMTC) is one of the enterprises in which ventures can move their business operations to a different level, emphasizing vertical and horizontal integration. The AMTC provides investment projects with systematic training programs, the service of consultants, and the industry 4.0 environment. Through involvement in these organizations and utilizing the sandbox environment, ventures can upgrade their talents, expertise, and capacities to accept digital transformation and rope innovation throughout the business segment. It could enable firms to patent the technology and explore new concepts, apart from developing ingenious solutions and driving business development. In their operation, Siemens AMTC has a Digital Enterprise Experience Center (DEX). The client gets to see how the real and digital worlds enable one to design and facilitate a realization of the value chain as an end-to-end process optimized by a perpetuating data flow using DEX. It is important here to state that a real Digital Enterprise must be capable of utilizing the virtually infinite amount of information available to make the right decisions quickly and without doubt as well as deliver top-notch goods through the implementation of lean manufacturing. Not only provide access to industry experts, AMTC also connect the client to hands-on training (transition), access to advance technology training facility, also access to advance manufacturing equipment. There is constant pressure from the global shifts that influence the industrial world such as changes in geo-political climate, technology, markets, and climatic change. The key strategies, therefore, come into play to address such challenges include digitalization and automation. The Digital enterprise is doing exactly this by overcoming the physical space between the real and the digital world. So, with the synchronization of the real world and the digital world, the integration of the design to realization is enabled on one hand, and the constant flow of data is a means of optimization on the other. This is happening in the Artisan Green activity, using the digital twin, they can create uncertainty in their product harvest to become more certainty. Artisan Green successfully implementing Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) and working in cooperation with Siemens. The collaboration basic idea is to improve hydroponic operations by connecting an improved Farm Management System via Siemens’ technologies to create parameter for another rack adoption based on the problem that solved by the integrated system. This system represents some principles of CEA, as for example the control of environment and the rational use of resources. This partnership brought a very crucial agriculture revolution in Singapore as a nation with no land for Agriculture yet lacks some essential foods. It aims to achieve the next level of hi-tech, environmentally friendly hydroponic farming and tripling the production rates of energy, yield, and recycling. Modern techniques of farming are under pressure from factors that include population growth and the rise of demand for fresh and healthy food, climate change and fluctuations as well as scarcity of land for farming. Consequently, Singapore has embarked on an aggressive strategy to upgrade the capacity of this sector to supply at least 30 per cent of the country’s nutritional requirements organically by the year 2030. This goal is also part of the Singapore Green Plan 2030 as a plan for developing resilience of the food system in Singapore. The S$30 million grant named “30 by 30 Express” shows the government’s commitment for local food production thus creating favorable conditions for businesses such as Artisan Green. By using this Siemens’ modern technology and experience in automation and digitalization, Artisan Green will have its indoor farms include a modern integrated farm management system, which will increase the utilization of inputs, decreasing a negative impact on the environment. The centralized and vertical farming system implemented at Artisan Green ensures that land is used to optimum potential and thus increases the productivity of the farms thereby also cutting on the use of pesticides and herbicides. This paper explains will explain more about the objectives of digital transformation, the process model, the difficulties, and finally the phase beyond disruption. It concluded that an accelerator could offer co-creation, collaboration, and networking to gain bigger market scalability opportunities for ventures, supported by cutting-edge infrastructure and technology, a sandbox for digital transformation, also skill development/ certification.
