Abstract

Banyak penelitian telah dilakukan tentang pergeseran bahasa sebagai produk budaya, tetapi sangat sedikit penelitian tentang kemampuan dan pola bahasa lokal, khususnya di Lampung. Oleh karena itu, kami bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana kemampuan bahasa daerah dan pola bahasa di kalangan generasi muda. Metode deskriptif menganalisis data yang diperoleh dari kuesioner yang diberikan kepada partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi pergeseran bahasa daerah di kalangan generasi muda Lampung. Data tersebut menjelaskan bahwa masih sedikit anak muda yang masih fasih berbahasa daerah dan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia untuk berkomunikasi dalam berbagai ranah. Dengan demikian, generasi muda secara bertahap meninggalkan bahasa daerah sebagai kekayaan budaya Indonesia. Implikasi studi juga dibahas, bersama dengan beberapa rekomendasi untuk studi masa depan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research discussed about the relationship between language application and culture; language as a means of culture in Angkola- Mandailing community, and this research intended to know the relationship between language application and culture in Angkola Angkola- Mandailing community. This research was conducted by qualitative-descriptive method that describes the relationship between language application and culture based on Nababan's theory (Nababan, 1986).  The results of this research are that the relationship between language and culture in Angkola ethnic:  1) language as a means of cultural development; for example margondang, mangayun. 2) Language as a pathway for cultural heir; for example: martahi /marpege-pege, makkobar.  3) And language as an inventory of cultural characteristics; markusip which is no longer practiced by young people in Padangsidimpuan, however, in Angkola- Mandailing community knows what that (markusip). So the relationship between language and culture is very clear in this research, because without language it is culture, and culture includes language.Keywords: Language Applications and Culture; development, heir, inventory

Abstract

Short story is a literary work that serves either to assist for entertaining or to give life values of the story itself. Besides, it is known as a prose work due to having a short-term story. The two short stories entitled “Jendela Rara'' and “Rumah Tanpa Jendela”, written by Asma Nadia, attracted the author's attention to conduct recent study towards those works. They have been adapted from short story to movie, hence, readers can obtain a structural comparison, especially intrinsic values and life values that are contained in the stories. The recent study was designed by using descriptive qualitative with structural approach to describe intrinsic elements that form the literary work. The research data was in quotation form (word, phrase, and sentence) which related to the problems of “Jendela Rara'' short story. The data collected were from document analysis technique. The data analyzed by using a flow technique model which consisted of three elements such as, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion verification. The data result formed as a structural analysis while experiencing a transformation from a short story entitled “Jendela Rara” to a movie entitled “Rumah Tanpa Jendela” by Asma Nadia.Keywords: Short story, structural, transformation, Asma Nadia.

Abstract

This study aimed at implementing self-reflection cards (SRCs) in learning English tenses and also explaining students’ perceptions of the use of SRCs in understanding English tenses.A qualitative design was carried out to conduct the study. It focused on interpreting and understanding students’ perception on learning English tenses. The context of study was two classes who were taking English grammar and structure, in particular for the subject matter of English tenses. English tenses were explained orally in the class before students used SRCs to improve their understanding of using English tenses. Data were collected by distributing the questionnaire to the students who participated in two classes with total number of 57 students.The data were classified based on the repetitive and common forms found to assign criteria to the most important aspects related to the objectives of the study. Results indicated that the majority of students participating in the SRCs gamesagreed to all statements in the distributed questionnaire. However, only small number of students responded to their disagreement or neutrality. The majority of positive responses from students are considered as the indicator that the use of SRCs in learning English tenses was successfully implemented in class.

Abstract

Artikel ini berbicara tentang kelas sosial perempuan atau yang biasa disebut dengan feminisme yang terjadi di tanah Jawa dan juga tanah Papua. Masalah yang dituju dalam artikel ini adalah membandingkan bagaimana ketidakadilan gender yang dialami oleh para perempuan di tanah Jawa dan juga di tanah Papua. Dimana letak geografis setiap daerah berpengaruh besar terhadap nilai feminisme. Faktor lingkungan sosial tempat mereka tinggal sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan yang dijalani oleh perempuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Bagaimana penulis menjelaskan secara rinci bahwa para perempuan ini digambarkan oleh masing-masing novel. Bagaimana perempuan pada zaman tersebut sangat patuh akan ketidaksetaraan gender tersebut. Terlihat sebagaimana kodrat mereka sangat rendah dibandingkan oleh laki-laki. Perbedaan ini sangat kentara karena memang perempuan hanya dijadikan alat untuk memuaskan hawa nafsu saja. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan membaca dan menyimak melalui novel. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data tersebut maka akan didapatkan kesimpulan dari kedua isi novel. Dalam kedua novel ini diceritakan begitu rinci mengenai perjuangan mereka untuk mendapatkan haknya sebagai seorang perempuan. Perempuan yang selalu dianggap rendah dan lemah. Perjuangan mereka untuk menjadi liyan, yang bertujuan untuk mengukuhkan diri supaya lebih memperkenalkan dan percaya diri terhadap diri seorang “perempuan”. Penulis berusaha menggambarkan perbedaan dari perjuangan seorang perempuan dalam kedua novel tersebut.

Abstract

This research is motivated by an interest in the asihan or mantra of the Lampung Pepadun cultural community, North Lampung Regency which functions to strengthen mental and self-confidence, expel evil spirits, treat sick people, defeat the forces of nature, and subdue one's heart. The purpose of this study is to describe the function and meaning of asihan or mantra for the culture of the people of Lampung Pepadun, North Lampung Regency. Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan, yaitu (1) Menentukan bentuk metafora dalam teks iklan pada situs daring blibli.com, (2) Mendeskripsikan makna yang terkandung dalam ungkapan metafora pada teks iklan di situs daring blibli.com, dan (3) Menjelaskan pemanfaatan pemakaian ungkapan metafora sebagai bahan ajar pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP. Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian kualitatif dan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini ialah wacana teks iklan yang terdapat di situs daring blibli.com. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dan teknik catat. Analisis data menggunakan metode agih dengan jenis teknik Bagi Unsur Langsung (BUL) dan metode padan dengan jenis referensial. Hasil penelitian ini (1) ungkapan metafora dianalisis berdasarkan bentuk, yaitu dikelompokkan ke dalam kelas kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat, (2) ungkapan metafora dianalisis berdasarkan makna sesuai bentuk metafora, yaitu metafora antropomorfis, metafora hewan, metafora konkret ke abstrak, dan metafora sinestesia. Kecenderungan metafora yang sering muncul dalam teks iklan di situs daring blibli.com ialah metafora antropomorfis dan metafora konkret ke abstrak, (3) pemanfaatan ungkapan metafora pada teks iklan di situs daring blibli.com sebagai bahan ajar pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP.

Abstract

In the context of cultural wisdom, it is no longer seen as hereditary heritage but cultural wisdom is the strength of the creative industry based on cultural wisdom. Students of the language and literature study program who have writing and literary skills are able to study and write cultural wisdom. With the ability to study and write local wisdom allows students as; entrepreneurship, creator, humanist, writer based on the strategy of cultural wisdom values. The research focus is the study and writing of Jambi Malay cultural wisdom with a literary journalism approach. Literary journalism is a feature-oriented creative writing skill based on facts in the field. To achieve this, the study and discussion refers to the practice of improving learning; Research and development; Classroom Action Research, and Project-Based Learning. The results of research on student abilities; write the title of 'good' level, write the intro at 'good' level, the type of intro written; storytelling, descriptive, and questions, writing the atmosphere of the story as a result of observation at the 'medium' level, writing the dialogue of the results of the investigation and reporting at the 'medium' level, (5) closing the story containing the message at the 'good' level, the type of message written; view of life, sincerity, and a call to action. Overall the ability to write knowledge of Malay culture is based on the 'good' range. Based on this the suggestions put forward; feature as a creative essay, very easy to develop by students as novice writers, so that they are interested in composing the potentials of local wisdom; data features on the basis of the results of field research through the process of observation, interviews, investigations and reporting. Based on the suggestions put forward, the literary journalism approach can be developed well in learning creative writing.Keyword: cultural wisdom, literary journalism

Abstract

Pergeseran makna adalah istilah yang menjelaskan tentang fenomena sebuah kata yang maknanya telah berbeda dari makna aslinya. Artikel ini membahas tentang pergeseran makna kata lucu yang maknanya sekarang ini sudah berbeda dengan makna leksikalnya dalam KBBI. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pergeseran makna kata lucu yang ditemui pada media sosial Twitter. Kajian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan semantik dengan teori perubahan makna. Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif kualitatif sedangkan data yang dianalisis berbentuk kalimat yang di dalamnya terdapat kata lucu. Sumber data penelitian ini diambil dari Twitter. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode agih dan teknik dasar bagi unsur langsung (BUL) . Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kata lucu telah mengalami pergeseran makna dari yang sebelumnya ‘menimbulkan tertawa’ menjadi ‘menyatakan kekaguman’ dan ‘menekankan hal ganjil’.Keywords: Semantik, Perubahan Makna, Kata Lucu.

Abstract

Coronavirus or Covid-19 is viruses group of the Orthocoronavirinae member of Coronaviridae family and the order Nidovirales. This virus can cause disease not only human, but also birds and mammals. The extraordinary events caused by the corona virus become a new problem in various fields of life, including in the field of education. Every educator is required to be able to innovate, so that the learning process and physical limitations can both continue. Therefore, not long after the physical restriction instructions were applied, the online learning model or commonly referred to as e-learning began to be socialized. The purpose of writing this article is to see the effectiveness of the Guru Virtual platform as an daring learning medium. To conduct this research, researcher uses descriptive qualitative method. Qualitative descriptive method is a method that analyzes research in the form of descriptions not in the form of numbers or coefficients about the relationship between variables. The data gathered from the research is in the form of words or pictures not numbers. The data was collected by designing learning scenarios, recording, and interviewing. In addition, the calculation of student learning outcomes is also carried out to see learning outcomes using the Guru Virtual. Based on the results of interviews with students, Guru Virtual is an effective platform to be used as an daring learning platform. Based on the calculation of student learning outcomes, it was obtained an average value of 74.9 with a good category.
