Abstract

Local microorganisms can be produced from plant or animal materials. Utilization of local microorganisms has the advantage of being relatively cheap in terms of cost and ease of application is an option that must be implemented by local farmers. The bacteria content in MOL can be used as a starter for composting, biological fertilizer. By using materials available in the environment. The aim of this study was to determine the application of local microorganism (MOL) vegetable MOL on growth and production applied to Inodrum Chrysanthemum cut flowers. Cultivation of cut flower types of Chrysanthemum Inodorum (Chrysanthemum Inodorum) is believed to be able to increase by utilizing local microorganisms (MOL) to maintain soil fertility, increase soil microbial population, maintain environmental sustainability as well as maintain and increase soil productivity (Setianingsih, 2009). This research was conducted in Sumkara Village, located in Karo District, North Sumatra, which is located between Berastagi and Kabanjahe. The community in Sumkara Village is one of the villages that earns an income from Chrysanthemum Inodrum (Chrysanthemum Inodorum) cut flowers. So far the Sumkara people still use chemical pesticides which can damage the soil structure. Many flower growers have complained about the high cost of fertilizers and maintenance for chrysanthemum cut flowers. This research will produce organic liquid fertilizer which is expected to improve soil structure. The focus of this research is the manufacture of MOL and its application for farmers in the Sumkara area. The method used was a completely randomized block design (RAKL). The results of this research will be published in the Accredited Journal indexed by Sinta.

Abstract

This study’s purposes to find data about jet grout usage on The Manhattan Mall & Condominium project – Medan. This study is done to gather a relationship between SPT N value to jet grout usage also the failure reason, this data is the result of the earth geotechnical and ground study report. As a part of the development planning The Manhattan Mall & Condominium – Medan, very important to know the profile and the characteristic of the soil at the site where the bulding will be builded. Therefore, it is necessary to study the soil as a calculate and to uo the success rate of jet grout usage when grouting. Data from study result of the soil is to get important information to the owner and planners to decrease the usage of jet grout machine.

Abstract

Kabanjahe is a city that is currently growing and increasingly in need of adequate traffic facilities, in particular Jalan Kapten Bangsi Sembiring is one of the roads that is quite dense with motorized vehicles and is in the Kabanjahe Market Center area. Roads that should be used as a means of traffic experience obstacles due to the large number of vehicles parking their vehicles on the road and other side obstacle factors, such as street vendors and cash vehicles slowing down so that traffic flow becomes disrupted and results in congestion. Given the problems on these roads, it is necessary to conduct research to determine the effect of side barriers on road capacity, to know traffic characteristics and to find possible solutions to overcome the problem of side obstacles, one of which is parking on the road at the research location. Based on the survey and analysis carried out, the volume of vehicles was at 531 pcu / hour with side activity, namely the center of the Kabanjahe city market, especially on Monday and the capacity of the road section which was filled with parking vehicles made the situation along the Captain Bangsi Sembiring road congested. the average side friction class is included in the high class (H) and experiences problems with the road segment capacity. The most influential type of side friction is caused by vehicles parked or stopped at the shoulder of the road (PSV) with a rate of 400 events / hour. One solution that can be given is by making changes in traffic management, namely installing parking barriers such as lines or cone dividers and providing prohibited signs against the direction of the road.

Abstract

Three Phase Induction Motors are widely used in the industrial world, therefore induction motors are expected to operate normally according to the desired work characteristics. But can not be denied the existence of interference that can cause damage to work induction motor system that one of them is harmonics. The purpose of writing this article is to explain the working characteristics of three phase induction motor which generates harmonics and in operation also contains harmonics. The method used in the study analyzed the working characteristics of three phase induction motor which in its operation contains harmonics. The harmonic form is analyzed by using Fourier series representation. The results obtained from this study indicate that under operating conditions containing harmonics, the stator magnetic field generates a rotating harmonic field that produces a forward and backward mmf mmf. Another effect of this harmonic, is the incidence of harmonic torque which coincides with the fundamental torque produces vibration and noise which has considerable effect on the operation of three phase induction motors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the cost and schedule variance (Cost Variance/CV and Schedule Variance/SV), to determine the performance index in terms of cost and time (Cost Performance Index/CPI and Schedule Performance Index/SPI) and to determine the estimated cost and time for project completion. Earned value is one of the methods used to control project implementation. The object of this research is the construction of the Mandeh 1 Tourism Access Road, in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province. The method used is a descriptive method of analysis carried out by describing with a view to finding the elements, analysis and even comparisons. The data is taken directly from the field so that it is in accordance with the realization in the field. The results showed that the ACWP value was Rp. 37,571,614,926,- , BCWP value of Rp. 41.757.520.198,-, and BCWS of Rp. 41,746,238,807. The CPI value of 1.11 > 1 indicates that the Actuac cost incurred is smaller than the value of the work done or getting a profit. The SPI value of 1 = 1 indicates that the project performance is the same as the planned schedule or there is no work delay. The final cost of completing the EAC project is Rp. 37,679,192,826,18,-. The value of VAC or the difference in the budget between the plan and implementation is Rp. 4,196,794,539.95.

Abstract

This research is the creation of a simple new technology by manipulating the hydraulic system and the principle of hand grip that functioned as an ergonomically adjustable twistable short cutter, with a normal length of 1.5 meters, a maximum of 3 meters. Weight 2.8 kg, long grasp of 94 mm and the diameter of the handle 52 mm. This research uses ergonomic analysis method to know suitability of tool with human that is with taking 95 percentile. At the diameter of the hand grip 54, 29 mm while for the width of the palm of the hand is 97.87 mm, the maximum pressure required to cut the twig is 234.39 kg / cm2 with a diameter of 5 mm that is the type of twig cocoa. While the NIOSH analysis obtained the required weight is 4.89 kg, then with the QEC method obtained the highest percentage level of the score is 47.62. it means repair is needed for the tool in the future. For the loading of work so as not to tired with working time of 8.40 minutes and rest 7.14 minutes. The results of the study concluded that the tool still has to be repaired in the future, while its use is quite short and only functioned for clove planting only and other similar harvesting with a maximum diameter (1 cm) only.

Abstract

Simanindo District is a tourist destination of Lake Toba which is always crowded by foreign tourists thus increasing the amount of waste generated. Community behavior that is less concerned with environmental hygiene becomes another factor causing waste problems. Due to lack of care of the community then the amount of waste for households is also increasing due to the many uses of food scraps and beverages used by every community. From the observation result in Simanindo District with the population of 20190 people with the amount of waste 13 m3 / day assuming that each household produce household waste 0,25 kg / day, then 492,75 kg / day. Where 80% is organic waste, in 1 week there are 2759,4 kg or about 4.75 tons in 1 month. As a miniature of household organic waste management, with approximately 90 families there is 22.5 kg of waste / day. The impact of garbage accumulation is environmental pollution, unflattering scenery, air pollution, soil, and health problems. The solution of the problem is needed a practical tool and efficient to overcome household waste by realizing a portable organic waste enumerator machine Portable organic waste enumerator machine capable of chopping 6 kg / hour of household organic waste such as plant leaves are then used as compost raw material. The goal is to simplify and minimize the volume so it is practical enough to take to the next processing.

Abstract

Ratu Duck is a hybrid duck, which is produced from crosses of MA (Mojosari x Alabio) ducks, which is one type of poultry that has the potential to produce eggs. Efforts to increase the egg production of queen ducks need to use the addition of egg-laying stimulants and feed that is high in protein. To meet protein requirements, gold snails are given as a source of high protein and breast milk fish pulp as a stimulant for laying eggs. This study aims to determine the effect of adding salted fish pulp and gold snails to the increase in the number of duck egg yields. Implemented in Brastagi, for 14 days. The research material included 10 queen ducks aged 24 weeks with an average body weight of 1490.61 ± 107.47 g. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with a unidirectional pattern with four treatments consisting of four replications, each replication consisting of five stimulant queen ducks consisting of salted fish dregs and gold snails. The treatments included P0 (salted fish pulp + 0% gold snail as a control), P1 (salted fish pulp + 3 % gold snail), P2 (salted fish pulp + 6% gold snail) and P3 (salted fish pulp + gold snail 9 %). The variables observed during the study included the number of eggs, egg color, egg white index, egg yolk index and egg yolk weight. ). The results of this research will be published in the Sinta indexed Accredited Journal.

Abstract

This study were to find out the mechanical properties (tensile strength, elongation break, and elastic modulus) and morphology of the polyethylene and SIR-20 blends by using a used tire filler. The method used by adding a used tire powder (80 mesh) as a filler on a mixture of recycled SIR-20 and polyethylene (PE) rubber. The composite preparation was carried out by mixing (PE) and SIR-20 rubber as a matrix, polyethylene malaeic anhydride (PEMA) as a compatibilizer, and Sulfur as cross link agent by adding filler (0, 10, 20, 30) phr, in Internal Labopastomil with temperature 1800C and rate of 60 rpm for 14 minutes. The results showed that the mechanical properties decreased with the rise of used tire powder, while the morphological result of the homogeneous mixture.

Abstract

Pemberian pupuk yang tepat sangat penting bagi peningkatan produktivitas tanaman pertanian khususnya kentang. Penelitian pengaruh pemberian pupuk kandang sapi dan Polysulphate telah dilaksanakan di Desa Lingga Kecamatan Simpang Empat Kabupaten Karo pada April - Juli 2021. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial yang terdiri dari dua (2) faktor yaitu Faktor I : Pemberian Pupuk organik kandang sapi dengan dengan simbol “ K” yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu K0 = Kontrol, K1 = 25 gr, K2 = 50 gr, K3 = 75 gr, dan K4 = 100 gr, dan Faktor II: Pemberian pupuk Polyshulpate “P” yang terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu : P0 = Kontrol, P1 = 5 gr, P2 = 10 gr, P3 = 15 gr, dan P4 = 20 gr. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian polyshulpate (10 gr/ P2), pupuk organik kandang sapi 50 gr (K2), dan interaksi K2P3 (50gr pupuk kandang sapi dan 15 gr polyshulpate) merupakan kombinasi optimum untuk pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman kentang. Perlakuan P2 (10 gr) menghasilkan nilai rata-rata pertumbuhan diameter tajuk 33,244 cm danK2 (50 gr) menghasilkan nilai rata-rata pertumbuhan diameter tajuk 32,553 cm.Kombinasi perlakuan K2P2 (pupuk organik kandang sapi 50 gr dan polisulfat 5 gr) merupakan perlakuan optimum yang menghasilkan pertumbuhan rata-rata diameter tajuk sebesar 34,22 cm. Perlakuan P2 (10 gr) menghasilkan nilai rata-rata pertumbuhan lingkaran batang 26,571 mm atau 2,6571 cm dan perlakukan K4 menghasilkan rata-rata 28,226 mm atau 2,8226 cm. Interaksi K3P2 (pupuk organik kandang sapi 75 gr dan polisulfat 50 gr) yang menghasilkan rata-rata pertumbuhan lingkaran batang 30,845 mm atau 3,0845 cm merupakan perlakuan kombinasi yang optimum. Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pengaruh factor K dan P terhadap pertumbuhan jumlah daun tanaman kentang sejak 3 mst – 9 mst. Rata-rata pertumbuhan jumlah daun pada 9 mst pengaruh factor P berkisar 101,15-101,6 helai daun, dan pengaruh faktor K 101,15-101,7 helai daun. Perlakuan P1 (polisulfat 5 gr) yang mengasilkan rata-rata produksi per sampel 443,75 gr atau 0,443 kg merupakan perlakuan optimum dalam penelitian ini. Perlakuan K3 (pupuk kandang sapi 75 gr) yang menghasilkan rata-rata produksi per sampel 479,25 gr atau 0,479 merupakan perlakuan optimum. Perlakukan P2 (polisulfat 10 gr) yang menghasilkan produksi kentang per plot 6550 gr atau 6,55 kg. Rata-rata produksi per plot tertinggi ditemukan pada K1 (pupuk kandang 25 gr) yaitu 7210 gr atau 7,21 kg dan terendah K0 4590 gr atau 4,59 kg.
