Abstract

Kondisi drainase primer dan sekunder yang berada di Kawasan Medan (Jl Dr Mansyur – Pd. Bulan) sebagian dari saluran yang ada tidak lagi sesuai dengan fungsinya, dimensi penampang yang tidak beraturan, kurangnya perawatan maupun sistem pengaliran dan pembuangan yang tidak sesuai lagi dengan lingkungan. Mengingat begitu banyaknya kerugian yang ditimbulkan oleh banjir atau genangan, maka perlu direncanakan dengan cermat penanganan kelebihan air pada daerah tersebut, hal ini merupakan alasan mendasar untuk menganalisis kapasitas dan sistem drainase pada kawasan Medan Baru. Adapun lokasi yang diambil pada kawasan Drainase Medan Baru Kota Medan yang dipusatkan di Kecamatan Medan Baru dikarenakan di wilayah ini rawan terjadi genangan. Data mengenai curah hujan harian maksimum wilayah kecamatan Medan Baru didapat melalui Stasiun Klimatologi Sampali Medan. Dengan luas area genangan sebesar 1,46 km² = 146 Ha apakah masih mencukupi untuk mengalirkan serta membuang air yang berasal dari daerah tangkapan air tersebut disepanjang drainase primer dan sekunder pada saat banjir (curah hujan tinggi). Berdasarkan hasil analisa hidrologi dan uji sebaran distribusi, digunakan distribusi Log Person type III sehingga di dapat intensitas curah hujan maksimum (I maks)= 14,644 mm/jam, debit banjir rencana maksimum (Q)= 5,646 m³/det dan waktu konsentrasi (tc)= 1,087 jam. Dari hasil Q analisis rancangan dan Q analisis kapasitas saluran di atas dibuat perbandingan hasil perhitungan untuk mengetahui kondisi drainase primer kawasan Medan Baru dari analisa didapat Drainase Primer sebesar 1,7188 m3/det pada Q Eksisting Saluran. Untuk Q Rancangan didapat sebesar 0,5646 m3/det pada kondisi 10 tahun.

Abstract

It is commonplace when architectural designs that require beauty often do not pay attention to the strength of building structures as part of a unity of structures and architecture of buildings, forgetfulness of the part of the building that was originally assumed not to bear the burden in the end should bear the burden causing a new design adjustment. The study of pipe columns as poles on cantilever building structures was studied because of the concerns of the building owner and also the construction executor of the cantilever frame design. The position of the pole as a successor to the load from the roof to the foundation is noticed because the steel material is elastic and also weak against buckling. An examination of the modified section of the frame structure is absolutely necessary to increase the stiffness of the structure, so that the pipe columns with small dimensions according to the architectural design can be maintained.

Abstract

Construction industry is one of the industries that has contributed the largest consumption of energy, water, natural resources, and waste generation, which cause environmental harm. Road construction is one of the construction industries that grow continuously, which can affect directly to the degradation of the environment. Green road construction is a sustainability action  which is expected to minimize environmental damage due to construction projects as it can save natural resources, water and energy. Ministerial Regulation PUPR No. 5/2015 concerning General Guidelines for the Implementation of Sustainable Construction in the Implementation of Infrastructure in the Public Works and Settlements Sector, therefore the green road construction concept should have been implemented by contractors. The object of this study was National Road Cantilever Construction Project Parapat – Ajibata, Simalungun Regency, This study aims to investigate the application of green road construction concept, constraints that encountered by contractors on the green construction concept application, and solutions for contractors. This study used a descriptive percentage method to determine the magnitude of the green road construction concept application and a qualitative descriptive method to determine the constraints and solutions. The results of this study indicate that the green road construction concept was applied with a value of 3.3 or 65.45%. Constraints that encountered in the green road construction concept application was the lack of regulation from local government to oblige green road construction concept in all construction activities and contractor needed to spend a higher cost if they initiative to implement this concept. Researcher suggest several solutions include: the issuance  of regulations regarding environmentally friendly construction by local government and awareness from contractors regarding the importance of environmentally friendly implementation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of production area condition in UD. Jamal bread and irregular work facilities. This is, seen in operators working in empty areas and the laying of baking pans that almost fill the work area and placed carelessly (uncluttered) at the bottom of the production floor. The purpose of this research is to design the layout and work facilities by combining BLOCPLAN so that operators work comfortably, safely, and healthy in doing their work. The proposed improvement plan is the layout design with BLOCPLAN taking into account the placement of the proposed work facility design. There are 3 (three) designed proposed facilities that are used for empty pan, baking rack used for baking sheet, as well as frying pan. the total displacement moment occurring in the layout design and the proposed facility is 1178 meters displacement / day, then there is a decrease in total displacement moment of 4088.4 meters displacement / day.

Abstract

The failure of the structure of reinforced concrete beams in buildings can be caused by various factors including design errors, implementation, and changes in building functions. To overcome structural failure, structural reinforcement can be used using adhesives as reinforcing material in the planting of new reinforcement with a certain depth. To find out the strength of the adhesive and the strength of tensile reinforcement, a study was carried out on the specimen using variations in the diameter and depth. The rebar diameter used in this study was T10 and T13 with variations in T10 depths of 6, 10, and 12cm while those for rebar T13 were 7, 11, and 13cm. Based on the results of testing the tensile strength of rebar T10 at a depth of 6 cm resulted in a tensile strength of 40 kN, at a depth of 10 cm resulting in a tensile strength of 50 kN, at a depth of 12 cm resulting in a tensile strength of 55 kN. While the tensile strength test of rebar T13 at a depth of 7 cm resulted in a tensile strength of 35 kN, at a depth of 11 cm yielding a tensile strength value of 20 kN at a depth of 13 cm resulting in a strong value pull at 55 kN. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that depth affects the value of tensile strength of rebar.

Abstract

CV.X is a company engaged in the printing sector. The main production is screen printing t-shirts because the demand is always there and increases every month. This company determines demand in the next period only with data from the previous period. The demand for t-shirts is the highest demand from other graphic products. This company has not implemented production planning by trial and error for the implementation of its production. In this study, a production plan will be analyzed and proposed by adjusting the production level, labor requirements, inventory, overtime, sub-contracts and all variables that can be controlled by the company. The demand approach for the next period is carried out using the exponential forecasting method and the aggregate planning calculation using the Heuristic method. The results obtained from forecasting with the value of Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) Exponential Method = 0.94. The cost of calculating the Labor Control Method is 28,654,800, the cost with labor control is 28,654,800, the cost with Mixed with Sub Contracts is 28,007,969.1, so the planning method is chosen with a mix of sub contracts

Abstract

Corncob is one of the organic waste which so far still not used as a product that has added value. It turns out that corn cobs can be utilized into liquid smoke which is useful for environmentally friendly food preservatives. In this research, the raw material used is corncob waste as liquid smoke manufacture. The method used is pyrolysis method using pyrolysis reactor, by burning and heating on the furnace which will produce smoke and then it will be condensed (water vapor in the air condenses from gas form, back to liquid) into liquid smoke or liquid smoke. The result of rendeman characterization is 4.3-5%, liquid smoke pH 2.8-3.0 and liquid smoke test applied to mujair fish can survive for 20 days.

Abstract

To fulfill raw water needs, irrigation needs, flood control, forest and land fire management and others, one of them is the construction of a reservoir or lake/situ as well as a water reservoir during the rainy season. In the Songsang River currently there is silting caused by large sedimentation. One approach to solving this problem needs to be planning for the addition of the storage capacity of the Stanum reservoir and the normalization of the Songsang river. From the results of the HEC-RAS modeling analysis, it was shown that upstream of the Stanum Embung there was flooding with varying heights (0.5m-1.5m). This is due to the relatively flat topography of the upstream riverbank. For the downstream part, there are no flood points because the contours of the cliffs are relatively high. It is necessary to model if an alternative flood inundation management is carried out with normalization and the construction of a Stanum Embung. Based on the discussion and analysis results of the HEC-RAS modeling, it shows that with the addition of the Stanum Embung storage capacity and the normalization of the upstream part of the reservoir on the Songsang River, there will be no risk of flooding.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of water flow discharge on the effectiveness of radiators on Daihatsu Xenia Type 1.3 cars. Cooling is a support system for a machine that works and operates. The existence of a cooling system will be felt especially in large-capacity engine engines. And it can be concluded that this analysis only examines the effect of water flow discharge on the effectiveness of the radiator. The problem found in this analysis is the effect of water flow discharge on the effectiveness of the radiator. The purpose of this analysis is to examine the effect of water flow discharge on the effectiveness of radiators. The object of this analysis is a set of radiator tester devices consisting of several components and integrated measuring instruments. This tool is used for data retrieval using the Daihatsu Xenia Type 1.3 16 Valve engine. The analysis design used is experiments, by manipulating a variable to see the effect of the action. The independent variables are the flow rate of water (0.011, 0.016, 0.024, 0.028, 0.033 m3 / min) based on the engine speed (1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500 rpm). The dependent variable is the effectiveness of the radiator. Each study took data three times. Retrieval of data analysis in the first minute shows that the higher water discharge makes the value of radiator effectiveness increase (at a discharge of 0.028 m3 / minute, 2500 rpm) so that in other words the water flow discharge affects the value of radiator effectiveness.

Abstract

Planning the foundation of a structure is a necessity by construction technicians. The strength of the upper structure is also influenced by the lower structure. Detailed research is needed for this foundation. The research location is on a bridge located in Sidikalang, Dairi Regency, North Sumatra, which is called the Lae Marsaban Bridge on the Sumbul Pegagan Section - Parikki - Pangiringan Link. 117 STA. 143 + 000 in Dairi District. Examination of soil type is carried out visually to determine the value of carrying capacity of the soil. According to the calculation and analysis of the planner, that this type of wells foundation has shown a construction that is able to support the bridge above it. Besides observing the condition and type of soil, calculating and planning the strength of management is a must. The foundation used is a sump foundation with a diameter of 2.5 meters and a depth of 8.4 meters, where the depth of hard soil is at 8.4 m. According to researchers, the implementation of the bridge is considered too excessive in terms of economic aspects. For this reason, more detailed and comprehensive research follow-up is needed.
