Abstract

Contractors in the construction sector have reduced the cause of their profit, namely the large costs incurred for purchasing construction materials. In utilizing material from construction that is not only for reducing costs incurred, it is more in profit in the project being implemented. The effort used to reduce waste is to use Lean construction (lean construction). The purpose of this study was to analyze the amount of waste generated from the implementation stage of the Sidilanitano irrigation network construction project in North Tapanuli Regency. So that the impact on mitigation is carried out in order to maximize the profit value of the contractor. This research method is a descriptive method and analysis is carried out directly at the project site. Data collection was carried out by field observations, interviews. The results showed that the material that caused waste cost was Pek. Reinforcement, Pek. Formwork and Dismantling Formwork and Pek. Cast Concrete K. 225. The level of application of lean construction in the Sidilanitano irrigation project in North Tapanuli Regency is not yet fully effective. However, the rest of the project material has been optimally carried out by the contractor to a minimum. Where the remaining 50 cm of iron material is stored while smaller sizes are sold. The rest of the concrete material is used to cover the stagnant roads around the project.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the cost and schedule variance (Cost Variance/CV and Schedule Variance/SV), to determine the performance index in terms of cost and time (Cost Performance Index/CPI and Schedule Performance Index/SPI) and to determine the estimated cost and time for project completion. Earned value is one of the methods used to control project implementation. The object of this research is the construction of the Mandeh 1 Tourism Access Road, in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province. The method used is a descriptive method of analysis carried out by describing with a view to finding the elements, analysis and even comparisons. The data is taken directly from the field so that it is in accordance with the realization in the field. The results showed that the ACWP value was Rp. 37,571,614,926,- , BCWP value of Rp. 41.757.520.198,-, and BCWS of Rp. 41,746,238,807. The CPI value of 1.11 > 1 indicates that the Actuac cost incurred is smaller than the value of the work done or getting a profit. The SPI value of 1 = 1 indicates that the project performance is the same as the planned schedule or there is no work delay. The final cost of completing the EAC project is Rp. 37,679,192,826,18,-. The value of VAC or the difference in the budget between the plan and implementation is Rp. 4,196,794,539.95.

Abstract

Construction industry is one of the industries that has contributed the largest consumption of energy, water, natural resources, and waste generation, which cause environmental harm. Road construction is one of the construction industries that grow continuously, which can affect directly to the degradation of the environment. Green road construction is a sustainability action  which is expected to minimize environmental damage due to construction projects as it can save natural resources, water and energy. Ministerial Regulation PUPR No. 5/2015 concerning General Guidelines for the Implementation of Sustainable Construction in the Implementation of Infrastructure in the Public Works and Settlements Sector, therefore the green road construction concept should have been implemented by contractors. The object of this study was National Road Cantilever Construction Project Parapat – Ajibata, Simalungun Regency, This study aims to investigate the application of green road construction concept, constraints that encountered by contractors on the green construction concept application, and solutions for contractors. This study used a descriptive percentage method to determine the magnitude of the green road construction concept application and a qualitative descriptive method to determine the constraints and solutions. The results of this study indicate that the green road construction concept was applied with a value of 3.3 or 65.45%. Constraints that encountered in the green road construction concept application was the lack of regulation from local government to oblige green road construction concept in all construction activities and contractor needed to spend a higher cost if they initiative to implement this concept. Researcher suggest several solutions include: the issuance  of regulations regarding environmentally friendly construction by local government and awareness from contractors regarding the importance of environmentally friendly implementation.

Abstract

The implementation of construction projects requires the use of many natural resources, one of which is construction materials. Construction materials should be well planned, from the process of planning, implementing, and controlling. By doing construction material management, it will minimize the presence of residual materials and residual materials are also not wasted. Management of residual materials from construction projects can be done with the stages of reduse (preventing / reducing), reuse (reuse), recycle (recycling), and salvage (moving). The GBKP Bukit Village church construction project is the object of this study. The purpose of this study is to find out the materials that are most often associated with the church project and to find out what are the controls carried out by construction actors to minimize the presence of residual material. The method used is to provide questionnaires to construction actors to obtain data, then the data is processed with the percentage description method to find out the most frequently residual materials and what residual material control is carried out by the contractor. The results of this study show that reinforcing iron is the material that most often occurs in construction projects. Meanwhile, control of residual materials by recycling is rarely carried out by construction actors in this project because in general construction actors have not felt it is important to recycle construction materials. In addition, construction actors' knowledge of recycling construction materials is also not enough, so construction actors feel that it is better to sell the remaining materials that can be recycled to third parties.

Abstract

Traditional houses are authentic historical-cultural heritage architecture and full of philosophy. One of them is the Karo Traditional House which is commonly called Siwaluh Jabu because it is inhabited by eight heads of families. Changes in human behavior due to the growing modernization process caused significant changes in the shape of the space in the Karo Traditional HouseThe change in the shape of the space in the karo traditional house occurs because there is no longer a desire to inhabit and build a traditional house due to friction of theft problems, social relations between families that are not in harmony, children cannot studied because of the noisy and crowded house conditions, and the interior completeness that is not possible. Some of these factors have resulted in a decrease in the concern of the Karo people for their traditional houses, which in the end there have been several changes in the spatial patterns of Karo traditional houses. The purpose of this study was to determine the shape of the space in the Karo traditional house in Lingga Village and the changed  in the shape and function of the space that occur in the Karo traditional house today. To achieve this goal, this research was carried out using a qualitative description method, where researchers made direct observations and conduct interviews with the local community. As a mandatory output of research, scientific articles will be published in nationally accredited journals.

Abstract

The village government receives Village Funds from the central government, part of which is used for infrastructure development in the village. In order for construction to be carried out in villages, it was previously planned that the amount of funds needed so that the infrastructure development funds could be transferred by the central government to village accounts. The amount of planned costs is called the budget plan (RAB). Considering that every year there are infrastructure developments originating from village funds, every year an RAB is also made, in which most of the village infrastructure RAB is designed by a third party (consultant). It's a good idea for the village community to be able to make RAB in order to reduce the cost of hiring consultant services to make RAB, so that the costs previously allocated for hiring third party services can be converted to other village activities
