Abstract

Fish is protein source that can be used as an alternative to other animal-based proteins,such as meat and lamb. This is due to the presence of high nutrients, including protein, lipid,vitamins, and minerals. The intention to increase the consumption of fisheries product, eitherfresh or processed, of Indonesian people is still required, including in District of Sidoarjo, EastJava. Fisheries aspect in District of Sidoarjo is very potential, hence it influneces the rate andpattern of fisheries product consumption in this region. The objective in this research is toanalyse the pattern of fisheries product consumption in District of Sidoarjo, East Java, alongwith its influencing factors. The data was collected online by using questionnaire filled by 103respondents. The result indicated that the fisheries product consumption of people in District ofSidoarjo was quite various in accordance with age, education level, and income. Besides, therewere factors affect the fisheries consumption of people in District of Sidoarjo, namely theknowledge of fisheries product’s benefits, preference, and the use of processing methods.Kata kunci: pola konsumsi, produk perikanan, Sidoarjo

Abstract

AbstractMilk is a source of protein that has high quality because of its complete nutritional content suchas protein around 3.5% with fat content around 3.0-3.8%. Milk is also a good source ofphosphorus and is very rich in calcium. However, the level of milk consumption in Indonesiais still relatively low. According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), milk consumption inIndonesia is only 12.1 L/capita per year. Thus, milk consumption in Indonesia, especially inschool-age children, needs special attention. This study aims to determine the level of parentalconcern for giving milk to school-age children. This study used a descriptive-analytical methoddesign by using a questionnaire. The results showed that giving milk to school children wasrecommended to consume milk in one day. Therefore, it can be concluded that parents careabout giving milk to school-age children.Keywords : level of concern, Growth Period, Milk

Abstract

The prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCD) increases continuously everyyear and this is the biggest factor causing death. Based on WHO data in 2020, 73% of deaths inIndonesia were caused by NCD. Hypertension belongs to NCD and the main cause of death inthe world. The consumption pattern of the plant-based diet contains a lot of fiber, magnesium,folic acid, Fe3+, vitamins C and E, n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), antioxidants,carotenoids, flavonoids, and other phytochemicals so can prevent hypertension. The purpose ofthis article was to find out the benefits of implementing a plant-based diet in reducing the risk ofhypertension, based on the results of research that has been performed. The method used inthis article is randomized control trials (RCTs) on articles published with sources from GoogleSchoolar, PubMed, and Elsevier. The results of the review showed that there was a significantrelationship in the application of the plant-based diet to the reduction of blood pressure and therisk of hypertension in various age groups. However, the application of a plant-based diet cancause micronutrient deficiencies. Therefore, the application of a plant-based diet was good forpreventing the risk of hypertension and accompanied by the selection of various types of food. Abstract

AbstractThe nutritional problem of adolescent girls is currently getting attention to is anemia (25-40%mild to the severe category of anemia). The study aimed to determine the effect of soy milk onthe increase in hemoglobin levels of adolescent girls in SMAN 1 Perhentian Raja. This type ofquantitative research is quasi-experimental used a non-equivalent control group design pre-posttest. The research was conducted from February to July 2020 at SMA N 1 Perhentian Raja. Thesample consisted of 19 students SMA by a stratified random sampling technique. The resultsshowed that subjects had Hb levels of 11-11.9 g/dL, namely 15 people (78.9%), and Hb levelsof 8-10.9 g/dL, namely 4 people (21.1%) before consuming soy milk, while the Hb levels ofsubjects after drinking soy milk had Hb levels of 12.0 g/dL, namely 17 people (89.5%), and Hblevels of 11-11.9 g/dL, namely two people (10.5%).The results of the T-dependent statistical testobtained p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05). It concluded that giving soy milk had a significant effect onthe Hb levels of adolescent girls at SMAN 1 Perhentian Raja. It's hoped that adolescent girls willcontinue to consume soy milk to maintain normal Hb levels for productivity.Keyword: Hemoglobin Levels, Soymilk, Adolescent Girls

Abstract

Pletok beer is a traditional Indonesian drink made from ginger, lemongrass, sappanwood and other spices with high antioxidant content. Pletok beer is currently less popular toyoung consumers. The modification of the Pletok beer product in the form of panna cotta isexpected to increase the value of Pletok beer among consumers. This study aimed to findPletok Beer Panna Cotta formulation preferred by the consumers. The study used acompletely randomized design with three treatments. Formula 1, 2, and 3 are panna cottaproducts with main additives, namely whipping cream, plain milk, and heavy cream,respectively. Hedonic test was performed to 30 untrained panelists using a 5-scale Likertquestionnaire with indicators assessing appearance, color, taste, aroma, and texture. The testresults showed that formula with added ingredients of plain milk have better preference scoresin color and appearance, while formulas with added ingredients of heavy cream have betterpreference scores in taste and texture. Overall, the formulation of Beer Pletok Panna Cottafavored by the panelists were products with heavy cream added or Formula 3.

Abstract

Overweight and obesity are defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that can interfere with health. Deaths due to obesity are higher than deaths from underweight. One of the causes of the increase in obesity is an unhealthy diet. The majority of people who live in cities consume fast food which can increase the value of body mass index. The addition pineapple powder as fortificant can increase food fiber content. Pineapple powder was able to increase the fiber content in the modified product. Products that have been added with pineapple powder can prevent or reduce the risk of diabetes, coronary heart disease, and hypertension.

Abstract

Monitoring the growth of toddlers at the posyandu can be seen based on the coverage of the participation of mothers under five. Several factors can reduce interest in posyandu activities and low participation of mothers under five. The purpose of the study was to analyze the factors of participation of mothers in weighing toddlers in the working area of Posyandu Kasih Ibu Lebak Bulus using a quantitative research method with a cross-sectional design. A total of 50 mothers of children under five became the subject of research and data collection by filling out questionnaires. The results showed that only the mother's work factor had a significant relationship with the mother's participation in weighing toddlers at the Kasih Ibu Lebak Bulus Posyandu (p=0.023). It concluded that the involvement of parents in taking time from busy work to participate in weighing toddlers is very much needed so that the process of monitoring toddler growth can be carried out to prevent nutritional problems in children. Abstract

Hypertension is the silent killer in Indonesia. The study aimed to analyze the relationship between heredity factors, body mass index, and percent body fat with the incidence of hypertension at the secretariat staff of the Indonesian Ulema Council, Central Jakarta 2019. This research is an analytical descriptive cross-sectional study. Measuring blood pressure, body mass index, and percent body fat by filling out questionnaires related to heredity factors of hypertension were carried out to 42 Majelis Ulama Indonesia secretariat staff. The instruments used were a sphygmomanometer and stethoscope, Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), microtoise, and questionnaires. The results showed that 31.0% of the study subjects suffered from hypertension. The bivariate variable test showed the results heredity factor (p 0.042 < 0.05), body mass index (p 0.031 < 0.05), and percent body fat (p 0.018 < 0.05). After the study, there is a significant relationship between all the variables studied. Keyword: Heredity, Body Mass Index, Hypertension

Abstract

To prevent the risk of chronic energy deficiency (KEK) in pregnant women before pregnancy women of childbearing age must have good nutrition, for example the Upper Arm Circle (LILA) is not less than 23.5 cm. So that research is carried out with the aim to determine the factors that influence chronic energy deficiency (KEK) in pregnant women in Belaras Village, Khairiah Mandah District, Tembilahan City. This type of research is analytic with cross sectional design. With a sample of 82 pregnant women where the sample was taken by purposive sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire, data were analyzed using chi square statistical test with 95% confidence degree. The results showed that the independent variables were the number of intakes of pregnant women (p-value 0.012), maternal age (p-value 0.028) and maternal knowledge (p-value 0.019) there is a significant relationship with the dependent variable, namely the incidence of KEK in pregnant women. It is recommended for pregnant women to pay more attention to their diet and the amount of daily nutritional intake needed to avoid BBLR birth and experience KEK. Abstract

Previous studies have shown that illness, especially infectious diseases, is a risk factor for malnutrition in children aged 6-59 months. Environmental sanitation is an important factor that influences the occurrence of infection. The purpose of this study was to assess the relationship between the use of clean water sources and the use of household latrines with a history of diseases in children aged 6-59 months. This study used a cross-sectional design with 108 research subjects. Research subjects were selected using accidental sampling. Collecting data using interview and observation techniques. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between the type of source of drinking water, type of source of washing water, type of latrines, and ownership of latrines with a history of diseases in the research subjects. The history of diseases in the research subjects was significantly related to the distance between the water source and the waste disposal site (p-value <0.05). Based on these results, further efforts are needed to improve environmental sanitation in coastal areas to prevent an increase in morbidity in children under five.
