Abstract

The construction of the 70 kV SUTT Rangko - Labuan Bajo transmission line has faced challenges in the grounding work. According to SPLN T5.012_2020, there are specific grounding requirements for the tower structures and cable parts of SUTT towers. Flores Island has mountainous and hilly terrain, with several active volcanoes, which often results in high and fluctuating soil resistivity. Improving the grounding value at the SUTT 70 kV Rangko - Labuan Bajo towers to meet SPLN T5.012_2020 standards is essential for enhancing the reliability of electrical installations and systems in Flores. Routine maintenance of the grounding system is necessary because it is crucial for protecting tower components, especially during lightning strikes. For the tower grounding improvement, the counterpoise method was used. Initial measurements showed that the grounding resistance at four tower points did not meet the required standard. This paper discusses improving the grounding value at these four towers using the counterpoise method, namely by adding stick rods to each tower leg until the required standard value is met (≤ 3 Ω for the five towers near the substation and a maximum of 10 Ω in other areas).

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah membuka peluang bagi layanan penyewaan tenda dan dekorasi pernikahan untuk bertransformasi menuju sistem digital. Di Erina Tenda Jepara, salah satu tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya efisiensi dalam proses pengiriman gambar dekorasi dan harga paket yang masih bergantung pada cara manual, yang menghambat kelancaran dalam pemesanan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem reservasi wedding decoration menggunakan pendekatan model UML dengan penerapan framework Codeigniter serta Bootstrap untuk antarmuka pengguna, dan MySQL untuk pengelolaan basis data. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Waterfall, yang mencakup tahapan analisis, desain, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Harapannya, sistem yang dikembangkan dapat mempermudah pelanggan dalam mengakses gambar dekorasi dan harga paket secara langsung, serta meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan data pemesanan bagi pihak manajemen. Dengan demikian, proses pemesanan dapat berlangsung dengan lebih cepat, terorganisir, dan efisien.

Abstract

Electricity plays a vital role in human life, so serious efforts are needed to ensure its reliable distribution. One of the main issues in electrical systems is short-circuit faults, which can cause equipment damage and widespread power outages. To minimize the impact of such faults, a protection system that is reliable, adequate, and well-coordinated is essential. A good protection system must meet several criteria, such as proper selectivity, the ability to quickly respond to disturbances to reduce equipment damage, high sensitivity to detect even the smallest faults based on regulated current levels, and efficient coordination and backup in case the main protection fails. It must also remain stable against external disturbances. To achieve reliable protection coordination, simulation is necessary. One tool that can be used is ETAP 21.0.1 software. ETAP helps in modeling the electrical network, calculating short-circuit currents, and evaluating the performance of primary and secondary protection coordination. The simulation results show that short-circuit current values vary at each busbar point depending on the system impedance and network configuration. Through this simulation, settings like the Time Multiplier Setting (TMS) and pickup current can be adjusted to improve relay coordination, making it more selective and reliable. This study provides valuable insight into the reliability and safety of the electricity distribution operating system in the Sabang ULP area.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the capacity of a 220 VDC battery used in the acoustic system of the Gas and Steam Power Plant (PLTGU) at the Belawan Generating Unit (UP). Batteries have an important role as a backup energy source in maintaining the continuity of the electrical operational system, especially in emergency conditions. The research method includes testing the battery capacity by measuring current, voltage, and discharge time under various load conditions. The test results show that battery capacity can vary depending on temperature, age, and previous charging conditions. The data obtained are explained to rotate the battery performance in supporting the PLTGU system. This conclusion provides recommendations for routine maintenance and battery replacement, to ensure the electrical system at the Belawan UP continues to function optimally. This research is expected to be a reference for PLTGU managers in improving the efficiency of the power plant system.

Abstract

The need for stable electricity supply is a major challenge for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), especially when disruptions occur in the main grid. This study examines the utilization of a small-scale Solar Power Generation System (PLTS) as a backup energy source to operate a donut mixer machine at CV Youlanda. The system consists of two solar panels with a combined power of 40 Wp, two 12V 8Ah batteries, a 1000W inverter, and a 20A charge controller (SCC). The research was conducted through direct field measurements to assess the performance and efficiency of the system under varying weather conditions. The observations show that in sunny weather, the system can generate about 200 Wh per day, which is sufficient to run two cycles of the mixer. The actual energy consumption per cycle was measured at 65.61 Wh. The total system efficiency was 2.63%, including panel efficiency of 8%, battery storage efficiency of 77%, and load efficiency of 42.71%. However, in cloudy weather, the available energy is only enough for about 8 minutes of operation. These findings indicate that, despite its limitations, small-scale PLTS remains a viable alternative energy solution that is cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and suitable for light operational needs in the MSME sector.

Abstract

Solar energy is one of the potential and environmentally friendly renewable energy sources. However, the efficiency of sunlight absorption by solar panels is often affected by the intensity of light received. This study aims to design and build a solar light concentrator system using a Fresnel lens to increase the intensity of light received by the solar panel. The issues addressed in this research include how to design a device with a Fresnel lens that can focus sunlight and how the use of this lens affects the electrical power generated by the solar panel. The research method includes the mechanical design of the concentrator system, installation of the Fresnel lens, and testing of light intensity and the output power of the solar panel before and after the lens application. This study is limited to the analysis of increased intensity and electrical power, without considering cost aspects or economic efficiency.

Abstract

This study is to design an interactive learning media about four-legged animals based on Augmented Reality (AR) for students of PAUD Harapan Bunda. Conventional learning methods are often less effective in attracting the interest of early childhood learning, so innovation in learning media is needed. The Design Thinking approach is used in the development of this media, including the stages of Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. The Empathize stage is carried out through observation and interviews with teachers and students to understand the needs and challenges of learning. The Define stage identifies the main problem, namely the lack of interesting and immersive media. At the Ideate stage, various AR learning media concepts are developed. Then, the Prototype stage involves building an AR application that allows students to see 3D models of four-legged animals in the real environment through mobile devices. The Test stage is carried out by direct trials on PAUD Harapan Bunda students to evaluate the effectiveness and ease of use of the media. The results of the study are expected to show that this AR learning media can significantly increase the motivation, understanding, and learning experience of PAUD Harapan Bunda students regarding four-legged animals.

Abstract

Miss Eka Gallery is a decoration service business for various events such as weddings and birthdays that currently still uses conventional ordering methods through direct communication or social media. This ordering method often results in delayed responses, misinformation, and difficulties in order management. Therefore, this study was conducted to design a website application with optimal UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) design so that customers can easily view the decoration catalog, place orders, and get confirmation in real-time. The method used in this study is User-Centered Design (UCD) with a design thinking approach consisting of five stages, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data were obtained through observation and questionnaires to application users to understand their needs, complaints, and preferences. The design results show that the developed web application prototype can display the decoration catalog well, simplify the ordering process, and provide easy service confirmation to customers. Based on testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) on 14 respondents, it was found that most users still felt less helped, especially in the aspects of navigation and clarity of decoration information. Respondents also suggested adding features such as a chatbot, QRIS payment methods, and a photo gallery of on-site decorations. The results showed that interactive and user-friendly UI/UX design can increase customer satisfaction. Further research is recommended to develop these additional features to optimize the application and meet user expectations.

Abstract

Sukaraya Village, Pancur Batu District, has great potential in the fisheries cultivation sector. Activities such as aeration and water pumping require reliable and efficient energy sources. Solar Power Plants (PLTS) are a sustainable solution that can overcome these obstacles, considering the abundant availability of sunlight in this area. This study aims to design an optimal PLTS system to support fish farming operations in Sukaraya Village. The design is carried out by considering the power needs of the fisheries system, the potential of solar energy, and the efficiency and reliability of the PLTS components. Based on the research results, the PLTS components consist of 15 pcs of 100 Wp polycrystalline solar panels, a 100 A solar charge controller, 4 12V 150Ah batteries, and an inverter capacity of 7000A. The results of calculations in the PLTS planning can distribute electricity with a load capacity of 5,760Wh. The results of the calculation of the overall cost required in the planning of a solar power plant for fish farming are Rp. 51,912,967

Abstract

The development of information technology is driving digitalization in various sectors, including the culinary business. Medan Float Smoothies still uses a conventional sales system, which creates various obstacles in order recording, stock management, and financial reporting. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a website-based sales system to improve operational efficiency. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall model approach. The results show that the implementation of the PHP and MySQL-based system has successfully replaced manual processes, improved transaction accuracy, and expanded market reach through the online ordering feature. With this system, customers can easily view products, make transactions, and obtain real-time stock information. The benefits of this research are increased business efficiency, reduced transaction errors, and provided a more practical shopping experience for customers.
