Abstract

The purpose of this study is to apply the Design Thinking methodology to evaluate the UI/UX design on the mobile website platform of PT Serasi Media Teknologi. Effective UI/UX design can improve user experience and maximize the use of online platforms. The Design Thinking method is used to understand user needs and develop innovative solutions. It is expected that the results of this study will contribute to the development of a more effective and user-friendly mobile-based website platform. This study uses a qualitative approach by conducting observations and interviews to understand user needs. The findings of the study indicate that effective UI/UX design can improve user satisfaction and maximize the use of online platforms. This study offers recommendations for improving the UI/UX design for the mobile-based website platform of PT Serasi Media Teknologi.

Abstract

Acne vulgaris is one of the most common skin problems, particularly on the facial area, and it negatively affects the quality of life of sufferers both physically and mentally. The prevalence of acne continues to rise globally and nationally, especially among adolescents and young adults. This study aims to classify types of acne using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method and to implement the results into an interactive web-based application using Streamlit, in order to facilitate users in independently detecting acne.The dataset used consists of 360 acne images collected from Google and Kaggle, which were categorized into four acne types: whiteheads, blackheads, pustules, and nodules before being split into training and testing datasets. This study employs three CNN architectures: InceptionV3, VGG16, and EfficientNetB0. Training was carried out in two stages with a learning rate of 0.0001 during the initial phase and 0.000005 during the fine-tuning phase, across a total of 50 epochs. The models were trained using the Adam optimizer, along with callbacks such as EarlyStopping, ModelCheckpoint, and ReduceLROnPlateau to prevent overfitting and enhance training efficiency.Model performance was evaluated using a confusion matrix. The evaluation results showed that the VGG16 architecture achieved the highest accuracy at 97%, followed by InceptionV3 with 96%, while EfficientNetB0 only reached 26% accuracy. The best-performing model was then integrated into a Streamlit-based application featuring a simple interface that allows users to upload facial images, detect acne types, and receive initial treatment recommendations.

Abstract

Cyber security is a crucial aspect in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of a company's information systems. PT. Industri Karet Deli, as one of the national manufacturing companies that has implemented digital systems in its operations, faces significant challenges in terms of potential cyber threats. This study aims to apply secure coding principles as the basis for strengthening cyber security systems. The methods used include identifying security vulnerabilities in the company's internal applications, evaluating the source code, and implementing secure coding practices in accordance with OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) standards. The research results show that the systematic implementation of secure coding can reduce system vulnerabilities by up to 60% compared to before implementation. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating security from the early stages of software development to create systems that are resilient to cyber attacks. Recommendations from this study include regular training for development teams and the adoption of code review policies as part of the continuous system development process.

Abstract

Indonesia has great potential in renewable energy, especially solar energy, due to its geographical location in the tropics. This study aims to plan an efficient and sustainable Street Lighting (PJU) system in Tanjung Gusta Village, Sunggal District, by utilizing new and renewable energy (EBT). Tanjung Gusta Village has a need for adequate street lighting to improve safety, mobility, and quality of life for the community. The research method includes a field survey to analyze conditions, calculation of lighting needs based on applicable standards, and design of a PJU system using EBT. The results of the study indicate that a PJU system with solar power is the most suitable solution for Tanjung Gusta Village, considering the availability of resources. The planning of this solar PJU system includes selecting the type of lamp to be used, determining the capacity of solar panels and batteries, and calculating the optimal layout and height of lamp posts.

Abstract

Puskesmas sebagai fasilitas kesehatan tingkat pertama memiliki peran strategis dalam memberikan layanan kepadamasyarakat. Namun, di Puskesmas Binjai Selatan masih terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan informasi layanan, antreanpendaftaran yang panjang, serta kurangnya media untuk menyampaikan kritik dan saran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmerancang dan mengembangkan aplikasi pelayanan Puskesmas berbasis web dengan penerapan metode Service Quality gunamengukur dan meningkatkan kualitas layanan secara menyeluruh. Aplikasi ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrogramanweb, basis data MySQL, dan dirancang menggunakan pemodelan Unified Modeling Language (UML). Sistem dirancangdengan dua aktor utama, yaitu administrator dan masyarakat, yang memungkinkan pengelolaan data pelayanan, aksesinformasi, pendaftaran daring, serta evaluasi terhadap kualitas layanan. Melalui pendekatan ini, aplikasi diharapkan dapatmeningkatkan efektivitas pelayanan, mempercepat proses administrasi, dan meningkatkan kepuasan masyarakat terhadaplayanan Puskesmas.

Abstract

In today's digital era, efficient and modern library management has become an essential need for educational institutions. Medan Aviation Polytechnic as one of the institutions under the Ministry of Transportation, requires a library system that can optimize the borrowing and returning processes, as well as enhance services to users. This study aims to design and implement a smart library system based on smart card technology using Near Field Communication (NFC). The developed system utilizes smart cards as library membership cards integrated with NFC technology to facilitate access to the library system. The research methodology includes literature review, system design, implementation, and system testing. The test results show that all smart cards were successfully detected by the system, and only registered cards were allowed access. The maximum reading distance of the NFC reader was 4 cm, with an average access time of 0.42 seconds. The system also accurately classified book borrowing based on study programs. All system features functioned properly and received a high level of user satisfaction, with an average score of 4.59 out of 5, indicating that the system meets user needs, improves service quality, and modernizes library management.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate how well lightning arresters protect the radio transmitter system in the RRI Medan Building from voltage surge disturbances caused by lightning strikes. Measurement of grounding resistance, field observation, and interviews with relevant technicians are all procedures used. The results of the study indicate that a grounding system with a resistance of less than 5 ohms can reduce voltage surges to a protection level of 99%. Choosing the distance of the arrester installation and conducting periodic maintenance are two important components in maintaining a reliable lightning protection system. It is expected to improve the safety of the device and the continuity of radio broadcasting services in extreme weather situations.

Abstract

Public Street Lighting (PJU) based on Solar Power Plants (PLTS) is one of the renewable energy solutions that is starting to be widely applied in Indonesia, especially in areas that have not been reached by conventional electricity networks. This study aims to examine the environmental and social impact of the implementation of PJU PLTS in two regions with different characteristics. The method used is qualitative descriptive with the support of quantitative data, through interviews, observations, and questionnaire dissemination. The results of the study show that PJU PLTS is able to reduce carbon emissions, improve the visual quality of the night environment, and create a safe and productive space for the community. Social impacts include increasing a sense of security, growing night-time economic activities, and strengthening the social cohesion of citizens. However, challenges such as lack of technical education and community participation are still to be found. This study recommends increasing citizen involvement, battery waste management, and strengthening project sustainability monitoring. These findings reinforce the importance of a sustainable and inclusive approach in renewable energy projects at the local level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis minat siswa kelas 1 SMA Swasta Al Maksum yang terletak di Desa Cinta Rakyat dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler futsal, dengan pendekatan Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). UTAUT merupakan sebuah model teoritis yang dikembangkan untuk menjelaskan niat dan perilaku pengguna dalam menerima serta menggunakan teknologi. Dalam konteks penelitian ini, model UTAUT digunakan untuk melihat bagaimana faktor-faktor seperti performance expectancy (harapan terhadap kinerja), effort expectancy (kemudahan penggunaan), social influence (pengaruh sosial), dan facilitating conditions (kondisi pendukung) berkontribusi terhadap minat siswa dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler futsal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 64 siswa kelas 1, terdiri dari 32 siswa laki-laki dan 32 siswa perempuan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan regresi linier berganda untuk menguji sejauh mana pengaruh masing-masing variabel dalam model UTAUT terhadap minat siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa performance expectancy dan social influence memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif terhadap minat siswa dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler futsal. Sebaliknya, effort expectancy dan facilitating conditions menunjukkan pengaruh yang tidak terlalu dominan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi terhadap manfaat kegiatan futsal dan dorongan dari lingkungan sosial, seperti teman sebaya dan guru, menjadi faktor utama dalam meningkatkan minat siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pihak sekolah dalam menyusun strategi pengembangan ekstrakurikuler yang lebih efektif, menarik, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa, khususnya dalam mendorong partisipasi aktif pada kegiatan futsal.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat menuntut adanya sistem digital yang efisien dan terintegrasi dalam berbagai sektor, termasuk di lingkungan kampus. Laporan ini membahas perancangan dan implementasi Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Event Kampus berbasis web yang bertujuan untuk menggantikan proses manual dalam manajemen event seperti seminar, pelatihan, dan kegiatan organisasi kemahasiswaan. Sistem ini dirancang dengan metode Waterfall yang mencakup tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, pengujian, dan dokumentasi. Fitur utama yang disediakan antara lain manajemen event, pendaftaran peserta, pencatatan kehadiran, laporan kegiatan, dan dokumentasi galeri. Dengan penerapan sistem ini, proses pengelolaan event menjadi lebih cepat, efisien, dan terdokumentasi secara baik, sekaligus meningkatkan transparansi dan profesionalisme penyelenggara. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan teknologi open-source seperti HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, dan MySQL. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna dan mendukung kegiatan event internal kampus secara optimal.
