Abstract

Anemia is a condition in which the hemoglobin (Hb) or number of red blood cells is below normal and insufficient to meet a person's physiological needs. Breakfast contributes around 25% of a day's nutritional intake. A person's knowledge can influence the number of cases of anemia in teenagers. Lack of knowledge about the signs, effects and prevention of anemia causes young women to consume foods that do not contain much iron. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and breakfast habits and the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls. This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was 40 teenagers and the sample in this study was 30 respondents, with the criteria for students being female students aged 12-14 years. The technique used in sampling is purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The results of the study showed that there was no relationship between knowledge and the incidence of anemia in young women with a value of p= 0.260 (p> 0.05). Meanwhile, the relationship between breakfast habits and the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls is known to be p = 0.631 > a = 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between breakfast habits and the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls. There is no relationship between knowledge and breakfast habits and the incidence of anemia in young women at the Al-Falah Sofwaniyah Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) is one of the congenital abnormalities in newborns (BBL) that contributes to infant and child morbidity and mortality worldwide. Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most common type of congenital abnormality found in newborns (Ministry of Health, 2023). The incidence of CHD is 9.1 per 1000 live births and is commonly found in Asia, Europe, and North America (Gumilar and Pradnyani, 2020). Based on the 2022 Indonesian Health Profile, deaths in the neonatal period aged 0-28 days were recorded at 18,281 deaths, 5% of deaths were caused by congenital abnormalities (Ministry of Health, 2022). Early CHD screening needs to be known by mothers, so that mothers understand the importance of having their children examined by health workers. Efforts so that mothers understand about early CHD screening, it is necessary to increase mothers' knowledge about CHD. Based on the results of interviews with pregnant women in January 2024, it was stated that at PMB Haryanti there had never been any health education about PJB screening and there was no communication media explaining PJB screening. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education using leaflet media on mothers' knowledge about PJB at PMB Haryanti Wonogiri. This study used a quantitative one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were pregnant women in the PMB Haryanti Wonogiri work area and the sample used was 28 people. The analysis test used the T test with a significance value of 0.000, this value is smaller than 0.05 so that there is an effect of health education using leaflets on pregnant women's knowledge about Congenital Heart Disease screening.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) continues to stand as a pressing challenge in global public health. Success in identifying new cases and completing treatment cycles serves as a key indicator in measuring the effectiveness of TB control efforts. When treatment fails, not only does it heighten the risk of transmission to others, but it can also give rise to drug resistance, often referred to as multidrug-resistant TB (MDR TB). This study was designed to explore the relationship between patients’ knowledge, the role of Treatment Supervisors (PMOs), and internal motivation with the success of TB control efforts at Sekayu Regional Hospital in 2018. An analytical survey approach was adopted using a cross-sectional design, involving 52 respondents. The findings revealed statistically significant associations between knowledge (p = 0.005), PMO involvement (p = 0.000), and motivation (p = 0.031) and the effectiveness of the TB program. These results highlight the essential role of healthcare workers, especially in providing education and counseling, to empower communities in preventing the early spread of infectious diseases.

Abstract

G Growth is an increase in the size and number of cells and intercellular tissue, meaning an increase in the physical size and structure of the body in part or in whole, so that it can be measured in units of length and weight. Development is an increase in the structure and function of the body that is more complex in gross motor skills, fine motor skills, speech and language, and socialization and independence. The purpose of the study was to analyze deviations in the growth and development of toddlers at the Lavenda Posyandu in Jambi City. This research method uses a descriptive approach with direct observation and data collection through interviews with parents conducted in January 2025. The population in this study were all toddlers aged 1 to 5 years at the Lavenda Posyandu in Jambi City. The sample in this study was 48 toddlers aged 1 to 5 years. Data collection was carried out through the Pre-Screening Development Questionnaire (KPSP). The results of the toddler growth detection study showed normal nutritional status for 43 children (93.75%), thin for 4 children (8.33%) and obese for 1 person (2.08%). Meanwhile, the results of the toddler development detection showed that the results of the child's development were in accordance with their development. Growth and development detection analysis is very important to maximize the optimization of children's growth and development from an early age. Early detection as a form of early intervention in children provides a beneficial effect to prevent deviations in growth and development as early as possible.

potential for unexpected complications. Therefore, optimal monitoring is of utmost importance. The aim of this study is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the factors associated with Antenatal Care (ANC) visits in PALI Regency, with a focus on the working area of Babat Public Health Center (Puskesmas Babat). This study employed an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted at Babat Public Health Center in PALI Regency in February 2025. The population in this study consisted of all postpartum mothers who had their pregnancies checked at Babat Public Health Center in PALI Regency in 2024, totaling 270 individuals. The sampling technique used in this study was total sampling. Thus, the sample included all pregnant women who had antenatal check-ups in 2024 at Babat Public Health Center, totaling 270 individuals. The data used were secondary data obtained from medical records, using a checklist sheet as the research instrument. The dependent variable in this study was antenatal care (ANC) visits by pregnant women, while the independent variables included maternal age, education level, and parity. The Chi-Square statistical test was performed using computerized processing with a significance level of α = 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between maternal age and ANC visits, with a P-value of 0.001, which is less than α = 0.05. Likewise, there is a significant relationship between the mother's level of education and ANC visits, with a P-value of 0.001 < 0.05. There is also a significant relationship between parity and ANC visits, as the P-value of 0.003 is still less than α = 0.05.
