Abstract

Literacy and numeracy means knowledge and intelligence to use various numbers and symbols related to basic mathematics to solve practical problems in everyday life and then analyze information displayed in various forms and interpret the results of the analysis to get results and make decisions (Kemdikbud in Mahmud & Pratiwi, 2019). Literacy and numeracy consist of three aspects such as counting, numeracy relations, and arithmetic operations (Purpura, 2009). As Covid-19 began to spread in Indonesia, the education system in Indonesia changed drastically. The announcement of Work From Home (WFH) which requires everything to be done from home including learning activities previously carried out at school to learning done at home. Online learning is learning centered on the students themselves as the main actors in learning, while the teacher acts as a facilitator and mediator in the learning process. The micro intervention implemented at SD Negeri 066668 Medan Johor is a form of individual assistance service to help students improve their literacy and numeracy skills. The method used is the casework method as stated by Skidmore, Thackeray, and Farley in Adi (2005: 149) as an effort to solve problems and find programs that suit the needs of students and schools. The method consists of the research stage, assessment stage, intervention stage, and termination stage.

Abstract

Low student interest in learning is a challenge in this 4.0 technology era. Technological stuttering accompanied by self-doubt makes it difficult for students to progress and keep up with the times. Coupled with learning that is too monotonous, it makes students' interest in learning even lower. There is a Teaching Campus MBKM (Freedom Learning Campus) program that can help overcome the obstacles that exist in various schools in Indonesia. The author here was moved to take part in the program and found a problem where the learning system was monotonous, which made students' interest in learning, which was initially low, grow lower. In this study, the authors used the Groupwork Method with stages such as: (1) Engagement, Intake and Contract, (2) Assessment, (3) Planning, (4) Intervention, (5) Monitoring, (6) Evaluation, and (7) Termination. The purpose of this study is to increase students' interest in learning through audio-visual learning variations such as the use of technology and interactive learning variations so as to increase students' sense of courage and confidence. The results of this research show that students' interest in learning has increased and students are more daring to show themselves and have self-confidence.

Abstract

Field Work Practice Activities (PKL) are paired with MBKM (USU Partner Teaching Campus batch 2). The implementation of the Teaching Campus activities took approximately 4 months at UPT SD Negeri 064012 Jl. D.I Panjaitan no 189, Medan Petisah District, Medan City, North Sumatra, Ms. Kholila Hanum S.Pd as head of UPT. I was entrusted by the principal of SD NEGERI 064012 to be a class 1A teacher for approximately 4 months. However, in carrying out this teaching campus program, I experienced problems due to the location or the place where I taught 90% of the orphanage. broker home Orphanage. Most students in grade 1A have problems with broken homes, some students don't know whose parents are, divorced or orphans. I focus on broken home children. Broken home describes a family that is not intact, separated/divorced, occurrence of domestic violence (KDRT) and no longer living together. This greatly affects the mentality and behavior of students while studying. In carrying out this activity I created a learning atmosphere that was safe, comfortable and in accordance with the interests and talents of students such as telling stories to students, paying attention, being a storyteller for children and being able to understand what the child was feeling. provide enthusiasm and motivation to learn and learn while playing.

Abstract

Character education is a very important educational process aimed at every child of the nation. The education is focused on instilling and developing values, attitudes, quality behavior, noble character, and noble ethics for the nation's children. In forming character, it is important to be instilled and formed from an early age, which means that at elementary school age this educational process must be maximized. This character-building effort through angklung musical instrument learning groups for grade 5 students of SDN 0680083 Tj.Rejo is an activity formed by the USU partner campus program Batch 2 which aims to instill the values of the nation's character designed in the archipelago module on 16 topics discussed. On the basis of these activities, the author also sees opportunities that exist from school facilities, namely angklung musical instruments that must be utilized, namely angklung musical instruments that are still lacking teaching at the school. The angklung musical instrument learning group is expected to have an effective impact because the angklung musical instrument game must be played in groups with good harmonization from each member, from that the attitude of discipline, tolerance, care, deliberation and national character values will be formed in each child who is a member of the study group. The method in this study is a qualitative descriptive method that seeks to describe the process, effort and impact of learning angklung musical instruments through study groups to shape the character of grade 5 students of SDN 068083 Tj.Rejo.

Abstract

Teaching Campus is a learning platform that provides opportunities for students to learn outside the campus to train their ability to solve complex problems by becoming teacher partners to innovate in learning, development and creative, innovative learning models. Through this program, students will be more active in the field and hone their creativity for the sustainability and improvement of the quality of education. This journal will explain how the Teaching Campus Program is carried out. The locations in the Teaching Campus Program certainly vary. For this teaching campus is a program under the auspices of the University of North Sumatra or Mitra Usu which is located at UPT SD 060888 which is located at Jl. Darussalam, Babura, District. Medan Sunggal, Medan City, North Sumatra 20153. And in the introduction of this program, the Group Work method is also used. This group work method serves to find out the problems that exist among students, so that researchers can make a form of solution. The form of program completion carried out is Literacy and Numeracy Training in increasing students' interest in reading and also improving literacy skills in students and students.

Abstract

Education is one thing that is quite essential for humans. As long as humans are alive, humans will continue to learn. The state itself has prepared formal education for its citizens. This is aimed at equal distribution of education throughout Indonesia so that Indonesian people can live independently in society and can continue their education to a higher level. The problem of literacy and creativity are two things that need attention because currently, the interest in literacy and creativity of students is getting lower. Even though by having these two things students empower themselves and improve their quality as individuals. Through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Kampus Mengajar program, the authors designed and implemented a learning program to improves students' literacy abilities and interests and increase student creativity which applied at UPT SD Negeri 060815 Medan City. The implementation of this program uses the social group work method to find out the progress of students, including (1) Preparation, (2) Intake and contract, (3) Assessment, (4) Planning, (5) Intervention, (6) Evaluation, and (7) Termination.

Abstract

The global problem that has not yet been resolved is related to waste, which continues to increase, especially in coastal areas. One of them is in Indonesia, precisely in Bagan Arya Village, Batu Bara Regency. Apart from household production waste, there is also a lot of waste sent from the sea. To tackle the accumulation of waste, an environmentally conscious group was formed to manage ecobrick-based waste. However, the group's limited knowledge, such as the difficulty of drying waste, assembling ecobrick products, and providing education to the community in Bagan Arya Village are things that need to be resolved. The methods applied in implementing this service start with strengthening Environmental Awareness Group materials, product assembly training, and waste drying training. The results of this service include the implementation of several trainings such as training on drying waste using drying nets, training on making ecobrick products using wire as product adhesive, strengthening ecobrick-based waste processing materials to increase the knowledge of environmentally conscious groups, as well as carrying out outreach to the community in Bagan Arya Village. about the importance of keeping the environment clean.

Abstract

The COVID 19 pandemic has had an impact on food MSMEs by Wingko Riona. Production decreased drastically from 3,000/day with a workforce requirement of 7 people, decreasing to only being able to produce 900/day with a workforce of 1 person. This decline has the effect of decreasing MSME income. University partnership-based MSME assistance aims to increase the capacity of MSMEs so that they can be sustainable. The program carried out is to increase production, namely with a product innovation training program and innovation in cooking methods other than using an oven, namely using iron frying pan equipment. The financial literacy training program was carried out to provide MSMEs with an understanding of the importance of keeping financial records and knowing the production costs required for each wingko production. The method used is lecture training and direct practice accompanied by experts and a team of lecturers and students at STIE Nusa Megarkencana. MSMEs are able to innovate wingko products with Durian, Jackfruit and Banana flavors. MSMEs know of a new way of producing wingko using equipment other than an oven, which turns out to provide better results and is easier. In Financial Literacy, MSMEs can find out how to calculate production costs correctly so they can determine production cost requirements and profits obtained at the set wingko prices. MSMEs can also understand the importance of creating cash flow and financial reports.

Abstract

Bullying cases nowadays are increasingly occurring in all circles. Bullies feel that what they do is normal. Even though bullying can have a very bad impact on the victim of bullying. The factors that cause bullying also vary. However, it is often found that the main cause is when a person's shortcomings are considered to be ridiculed by bullies, then they bully that individual without thinking about the impact on the victim. In this case, problems were found in groups of children where bullying often occurred among them when playing or studying. The author here carries out social work practice on PKL II assignments using the Groupwork Method with stages such as: (1) Engagement, Intake and Contract, (2) ssessmenAt, (3) Planning, (4) Intervention, (5) Monitoring, (6) Evaluation, and (7) Termination. The aim of this practicum is to reduce cases of bullying using character education as part of the process of controlling emotions and developing self-control. The results of the implementation of this program show that cases of bullying in this group of children are decreasing.

Abstract

Recently, cases of violence against children have become more prevalent. In recent years, Indonesia has often been mentioned as facing an emergency of violence against children, be it physical violence, sexual violence, bullying, and so on. The perpetrator even comes not only from the victim's external environment, but also by the victim's closest people and even the victim's own family. Meanwhile, the main concern is the impact experienced by child victims of violence. In the practice of social work, a social worker must strive to achieve evil for the child who is a victim. As a prospective professional social worker, Praktikan practiced social worker intervention with the groupwork method on six child victims of violence. Groupwork methods provide assistance such as self-help groups, achieving common goals in the group and so on. In this case, Praktikan conducts group play therapy for child victims of violence with the aim of reducing bad behavior and increasing the closeness of relationships among fellow clients. Kata Kunci: Metode Groupwork, Terapi Bermain Kelompok, Anak Korban Kekerasan.
