Abstract

This study aimed to foster entrepreneurial interest in Science Education students at Hasyim Asy'ari University through the implementation of ecoliteracy and ecopreneurship in PKLH courses. This research is a type of descriptive research through a qualitative approach wich is carried out as an effort to provide insight and experience to students to reuse waste into quality products and high selling value. This research was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic through an online system with two stages; first education about the environment (Ecoliteracy) and the second stage in the form of project assignments to manufacture environmental-based entrepreneurial products with waste as the main raw material. The results of the assignment can be used as entrepreneurial product innovations so that students are more creative in producing a product, as well as support one of the government programs to create a healthy and zero waste environment. From this research, it is known that ecoliteracy and ecopreneurship implementation activities can increase students' knowledge about environment; this can be seen from the average pre-test score of 72 to 80 in the post-test and an increase in the percentage of completeness from73% to 100%. Likewise, student interest in entrepreneurship increased, it was showed from the average score of pre-test and post-test 76 to 88. From this activity, student creativity was quite good with an average value 73, this can be seen from the variety of ecopreneurship products produced both from the types of basic materials and products.

Abstract

[Title: Manufacture of Gold (Au) Capture Filters Using Chitin and Chitosan from Crab Shells]. This study aims to analyze the ratio of absorption capacity between chitin, chitosan and chitin-chitosan mixture from crab shells as a Gold catcher filter (Au). The preparation of chitin and chitosan from crab shells begins with demineralization using 1.5 M HCl, deproteination using 3.5% NaOH and deacetylation using 60% HCl. Chitosan that formed characterized and analyz ed its ability to absorb gold using AAS (Atomic Absorbsion Spectroscopy). The result of analysis using AAS showed that chitin was able to absorb 67.76%, chitin-chitosan mixture 83.57% and chitosan 87.82%. The result showed that chitosan had better absorption percentage to Gold (Au).

The type of research used is research development (Research and Development) with the research design being developed is 4D Models. The subject of this research is the based discovery learning models to improve creative thinking ability and students’ conceptual understanding of harmonic vibrations. Retrieval of research data using validation sheets which were assessed by 3 expert validators consisting of 3 physics education lecturers. The research data is in the form of qualitative and quantitative data from the validator's assessment of the learning tools developed. The learning tools include syllabus, learning material, lesson plans, student worksheet, creative thinking ability test, and conceptual understanding test. This study conducted a validity test to determine the feasibility and validity level of the learning tools. The validity data obtained a value of 3.39 for the syllabus, 3.41 for the learning material, 3.27 for the lesson plan, 3.41 for the student worksheet, 3.37 for the creative thinking ability test and 3.33 for the conceptual understanding test. So that the average validity of learning tools is in the very valid category with a validity level of 3.36. Furthermore, the reliability test, the coefficient interval results obtained are 0.973 for the syllabus, 0.939 for the learning material, 0.976 for lesson plans, 0.982 for student worksheet, 0.958 for creative thinking ability test and 0.963 for conceptual understanding test. So that the average reliability coefficient interval is 0.965 with the reliable category. The conclusion is that the learning tools are valid and reliable for use in learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a 'learning module' identification of material content based on research and local wisdom. This module is a refinement of the Material Physics module. This course is an option; therefore the content tends towards the development of talent and interest to motivate the Master's degree. During this study more based on literature studies, the means are very limited. As a result, many curiosity and student awareness can not be missed because learning through research is very limited. The development of research-based modules and local wisdom can support the needs of students to conduct research. The research method used in this research is R & D research using Borg & Gall development model including product analysis, development, expert validation and revision, small field trial phase, large scale field trial and final product result. Learning module on subject matter identification of research-based materials and local wisdom as a product of development.

Abstract

[Title: Chitosan/PVA Composite Nanofiber Biocompatibility Test as a Wound Wrap]. This study aims to make chitosan-based nanofiber from NTB local crab shells. The manufacture of nonofiber is intended for application in the medical world as wound dressing. Wound dressing was developed from the basic ingredients of chitosan from NTB local crab shells. This research was conducted using the electrospining method, namely by making fibers from nano-sized chitosan. The resulting wound dressing was analyzed using FTIR. The results of this analysis show that chitosan has an area of absorption or transmittance in some chitosan groups so that it shows a positive alloy on chitosan and PVA as antibacterial in wound dressing.

Abstract

Polymer films have become a material for research recently because polymer films have an important role in the application of basic sciences. The polymer film has good mechanical, electrical and optical properties to be used in many applications, one of which is a polymer film that has the potential to be irradiated into a dosimeter. Therefore, modification of polymer film one of which is gamma ray irradiation is important to be further explored. This study aims to explore the effect of gamma ray irradiation on the optical absorption of polymer film blend PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) -trichloroacetid acid (TCA) -methylene blue (MB). Preparation of polymer films by chemical processes using the solvent-casting method. Each polymer film was irradiated with gamma rays with radiation doses ranging from 0 kGy to 14 kGy. Optical absorption was measured using a UV-VIS spectrophotometer with a range of wavelengths ranging from 200 nm to 700 nm. The results showed that three optical absorption peaks were formed on the polymer film PVA-TCA-MB due to gamma ray radiation at wavelengths of 360 nm, 440 nm, and 560 nm. Gamma ray radiation has an effect on optical absorption, where the optical absorption value of polymer film for the first peak (360 nm) and second peak (440 nm) decreased along with the increase in the dose of gamma ray irradiation, but for the third peak (560 nm) there was an increase in the optical absorption value along with an increase in the dose of gamma ray irradiation. The results of further studies are described in this article.
