Abstract

To those pursuing careers in business disciplines, entrepreneurship education has become crucial. Based on entrepreneurship education philosophy, this study examines how learning and intention affect secondary students' entrepreneurial goals, especially those of Malvar School of Arts and Trade students in Grade 10. This tackles the scarcity of research on the role of self-efficacy as a mediator between entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurship education. The descriptive correlational method of research was utilized in this study. The primary tool for collecting data was the questionnaire created by the researcher. Respondents were 198 Grade 10 students at Malvar School of Arts and Trade. The respondents believed entrepreneurship education and self-efficacy strengthened their intention to become entrepreneurs. They also believed that entrepreneurship education increases their understanding of starting their enterprise. Between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention, self-efficacy plays a crucial role, enabling students to anticipate when they will start a new firm.

Abstract

This study evaluates Nepal's English Language Teacher Education (ELTE) reform possibilities and challenges. The study examines teacher education in connection with social contexts, knowledge transformation, and knowledge generation from many perspectives. Reflective teaching, modelling, and research habits improve instructors' professionalism and create effective learning environments. According to the report, English Language Teachers in Nepal face obstacles that must be addressed in teacher education. Content analysis is used to study the diverse literature. Surkhet English teachers and headteachers participate in a focus group. The paper's results and discussion section summarize the literature review and participants' opinions. It covers key concerns such as the absence of physical facilities and funds for teacher training, poor English language ability among instructors, coordination issues between pre-service and in-service training programs, and minimal research on ELT classroom methods. Reforming teacher education to improve topic knowledge, pedagogical skills, and technology expertise is recommended. English language teacher education faces societal inequities, uneven government regulations, and limited access to internet resources and databases. The study also examines technology integration in English language classrooms, online platforms, and the lack of research on ICT integration in Nepalese education. This research article helps to understand ELTE in Nepal and suggests areas for development and additional study.

Abstract

The onset of the new normal in the school, as an effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighted the importance of using blended learning to embrace the transition from pure online to face-to-face classes. This study intends to ascertain the mediating influence of academic attitude on domestic factors, teaching-learning practices, and students' performance in TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education) - Cookery in a Blended Learning environment among the Grade 9 students of St. John of Beverly School Inc. and the challenges of the new normal setup in education. The study employed the descriptive correlational design and a survey questionnaire distributed via Google Forms-Pearson product-moment-correlation coefficient to determine the relationship among the variables. The results revealed that academic attitude, self-discipline, and motivation have a significant effect on cognitive performance with r = .337 and r =.318 significance when tested at a .05 level of significance, respectively, and self-discipline has a significant effect on psychomotor performance with r =.282 significance when tested at a 0.05 level of significance. The researcher, however, recommends further study to investigate other academic attitudes such as optimism, diligence, perseverance, and resourcefulness or other more appropriate variables to study the mediating role of academic attitudes in the blended learning environment on students’ cognitive and psychomotor performance.

A quasi-experimental design employed pre-test and post-test assessments as measurement tools. The researcher employed purposive sampling and selected a sample of 40 students. The collected test data were then subjected to analysis using the test of paired samples in the SPSS v. 26 for Windows. The findings from the data analysis using the test of paired samples revealed a significant difference in scores between the pretest and posttest for the experiment class. The computed p-value (two-tailed) was 0.002, which falls below the predetermined significance level of 0.05. Consequently, the hypothesis has been accepted. In summary, Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) has been implemented, and results demonstrate that it has enhanced the reading comprehension skills of SMA Negeri 5 Palu's 10th-grade science students.
