Abstract

The fistulography examination is a radiology examination that uses iodine-based contrast to visualize the condition and opening of the fistula duct. The frequent indications for this examination are perianal fistulas, using several examination projections, namely plain film projection, AP axial, AP oblique, prone/lateral, axial Chassard-Lapine method, and Taylor. This examination is carried out using a fluoroscopy machine. The purpose of this study is to determine the management and radiographic results of the fistulography examination technique with perianal fistula clinics. The type of research used is a descriptive qualitative case study approach. The data collection methods are observation, interviews, and documentation. The research was conducted at the Radiology Installation of X Hospital from March - June 2022. The subjects in the study were 2 Radiographers and 2 Radiology Specialist Doctors with the research object being the management of the fistulography examination technique with perianal fistula clinics. The results of this study indicate that the fistulography examination with perianal fistula clinics does not require any special preparation, the patient only needs to remove any metal objects that may interfere with the radiographic results and change into the patient gown provided. The projections used are plain film, AP axial, AP oblique, prone and lateral. The fistulography examination using these projections is able to provide optimal results by showing the contrast media entering through the fistula duct, so there is no need to use other projections.

Abstract

The electric power system must be very reliable, both in the aspects of generation, transmission and distribution. In this way, continuity of the electrical power supply to consumers can be guaranteed. One way that can be taken is to pay attention to the protection of the electric power system itself. This research aims to determine whether the coordination of electrical power system protection equipment is optimal or not. In this research, the method applied is simulation using the ETAP (Electric Transient Analysis Program) application. The process includes creating a power system circuit then applying several disturbances to the power system, then observing the existing protection equipment and analyzing system power data, disturbances, and electrical power protection equipment. This analysis is carried out by paying attention to the working order of the protective equipment during several disturbances and also the working time of the protective equipment. Coordination of power system protection equipment works well. In the simulation system according to the order of work, namely fuse, recloser and circuit breaker (CB). The last sequence of protective equipment that works is CB which has been set at 0.2 seconds. In each fault simulation, the first protection device to work is the fuse at 10 ms. If there is a security failure by the fuse, the recloser will work in 110ms seconds

Abstract

Effective sterilization is crucial in healthcare settings to prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and ensure patient safety. Traditional methods of monitoring sterilization environments often involve manual checks and lack real-time data, leading to potential inefficiencies and risks. This paper presents the development and implementation of a Digital E Dashboard designed to enhance the monitoring and control of sterilization rooms. The system integrates an ESP32 microcontroller with various sensors to continuously monitor critical parameters such as temperature, humidity, and UV light intensity. The ESP32 microcontroller serves as the core component, collecting real-time sensor data and transmitting it to a cloud server for storage and further analysis. A web-based user interface provides an intuitive dashboard for healthcare staff, offering real-time visualization of sterilization conditions, historical data analysis, and customizable alert settings. Over an eight-week testing period, the system demonstrated high reliability and accuracy, maintaining optimal sterilization conditions and providing timely alerts for any deviations. Implementing the Digital E Dashboard resulted in significant improvements in workflow efficiency and sterilization process reliability. The system's ability to provide real-time data and automated alerts reduced the need for manual monitoring and allowed for prompt corrective actions, minimizing the risk of HAIs. The results, summarized in a detailed table, showed that the average temperature was consistently maintained within the optimal range of 60-80°C, humidity levels were kept between 30-50%, and UV light intensity was monitored effectively with minimal deviations. Feedback from healthcare staff indicated that the dashboard was user-friendly and significantly enhanced their ability to monitor and control the sterilization environment effectively. While the system proved successful, challenges such as sensor calibration, network connectivity, and user training were encountered. Future developments will focus on integrating additional sensors, enhancing network resilience, and incorporating advanced data analytics for predictive insights. The Digital E Dashboard represents a significant step forward in leveraging modern technology to improve sterilization practices in healthcare settings, ultimately contributing to better patient outcomes and safety.

Abstract

Packed Red Cell (PRC) storage affects the stability of erythrocytes, this condition can pose a risk of decreased hemoglobin diffusion into tissues due to the storage process. The role of PRC to increase hemoglobin in patients is inseparable from the fact that the product experiences a decrease in quality during storage. This study aims to determine the effect of Packed Red Cell (PRC) storage duration for 21, 28, 35 days on the quality of PRC carried out at the UDD PMI Semarang City. The research method was Quasi Experiment study, with a modification of Time Series Design using the Quota sampling technique. PRC research samples were taken at the UDD PMI Semarang City in July-September 2023 with a total of 24 bags. The independent variable is the duration of PRC storage, the dependent variable is the quality of PRC. Based on the results of this study, it shows that hemoglobin (Hb) and hematocrit (Ht) increased from  day 21 to day 35 but not significantly (P> 0.05), while hemolysis showed an increase from day 21 to day 35  significantly (P <0.05) but the value is still within normal limits. Correlation value between Hb and PRC storage duration; r = 0.948, Ht with PRC storage duration; r = 0.202, hemolysis with PRC storage duration; r = 0.000. The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant effect on hemoglobin and hematocrit levels of PRC products with storage days 21, 28, and 35, and there is a significant effect on hemolysis levels but still within normal limits according to the requirements of the Minister of Health. Suggestions for further research with a better number of samples, types of examinations and designs to determine the standards and storage time limits for PRC. Abstract

The use of Ultrasound (USG) by midwives in midwifery practice in Indonesia has become an important issue in relation to legal aspects, especially due to the absence of clear regulations governing the authority of midwives in using this technology. This study aims to review the literature on regulations, authority, and potential legal risks associated with the use of USG by midwives. The research method employed is a normative legal approach with an analysis of relevant secondary literature. The results of the study indicate that although midwives play a crucial role in maternal and child health management, the use of USG by midwives is not yet clearly regulated in the current legislation. This creates a regulatory gap that could potentially lead to legal risks for midwives. The study suggests the need for strengthening regulations, training, and clear national certification to ensure that midwives can use USG safely and in accordance with applicable legal standards in Indonesia. Abstract

Hotplate magnetic stirrer is laboratory equipment used to mix solutions to make them more homogeneous by utilizing a heater and magnetic rod controlled by a high RPM motor, as well as several other supporting components. All these components are assembled into one good tool. In order to produce a good magnetic stirrer hotplate tool, it is necessary to make a planning design to produce a magnetic stirrer hotplate tool that is ergonomic and functional. In designing this tool, several stages of literature study are carried out, designing the tool (to find out the various components needed), designing the tool using a computer, printing the tool, installing components and testing the electrical power of the tool. Based on these steps, the casing design for the Hotplate Magnetic Stirrer tool was successfully created with a length = 230 mm, width = 220 mm, and height = 156 mm. This casing design is able to accommodate all electronic and non-electronic components used, especially high RPM DC motors. It is proven that through this casing design, the high RPM DC motor and other components are installed (attached) well. It has also been confirmed that all installed electronic components have voltage according to their specifications. Keywords: Magnetic Stirrer Hotplate, Design, Motor, RPM, Components.

Abstract

Accurate and stable measurement of a baby's body temperature is a critical element in neonatal care, especially for premature babies or babies with medical conditions that require intensive attention. Currently, skin sensors integrated with infant warmers are a common solution for continuously monitoring baby's body temperature. However, temperature fluctuations and environmental noise can interfere with measurement accuracy. This research aims to increase the accuracy of temperature measurements using the Digital Moving Average Filter (DMAF) on the skin sensor in the infant warmer. DMAF is applied to reduce noise and fluctuations, thereby producing more stable and accurate temperature data. This method was tested using a dataset of temperature measurements from newborn babies. The results show a significant improvement in temperature measurement accuracy of up to 97.94%, with a substantial reduction in fluctuations and noise. In addition, temperature fluctuations do not exceed 1 degree Celsius after using the DMAF method. Thus, the application of DMAF to skin sensor infant warmers provides clear benefits in improving the quality of neonatal care by providing more precise and responsive temperature control, as well as reducing the risk of dangerous medical conditions due to temperature instability. These findings provide a strong foundation for further development in sensor technology and temperature regulation in infant warmers, with great potential to improve the safety and well-being of newborns.
