Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role as the backbone of the national economy. However, despite their vital role, many MSME actors consistently face significant challenges, especially in financial and operational management. This is clearly evident from the tendency of their income to be uneven (volatility) and the low level of financial stability among the operators. This situation is the main driver of the research, which aims specifically to identify key factors that can effectively improve their financial performance. Thus, using purposive sampling techniques, this quantitative study with an associative approach seeks to examine the impact of managerial expertise, financial literacy, and financial technology on the financial performance of beverage MSMEs in Sukabumi City. The study includes 86 respondents. The primary findings show that financial performance is positively and significantly impacted by both managerial skill and financial literacy. Financial technology, on the other hand, was found to have no discernible impact. These results suggest that improving MSME actors' managerial skills and financial literacy should be the primary goal in order to achieve stability and long-term improvements in financial performance.

Abstract

Public sector organizations face increasing challenges caused by expanding administrative duties, complex development planning, and growing public expectations for better services. These conditions place strong demands on employees, who must perform effectively despite pressures related to workload, workplace conditions, and compensation systems. This study aims to investigate how workload, work environment, and remuneration policies influence employee performance, with work motivation acting as a linking mechanism. The research used a quantitative approach by involving all employees in a regional development planning agency (BAPPELITBANGDA Pasuruan Regency), collecting data through structured questionnaires, and analyzing the relationships using a partial least squares technique. The findings reveal that balanced workloads, supportive work environments, and fair remuneration practices encourage higher motivation and lead to better employee performance. From a managerial perspective, the study highlights the importance of fair task distribution, improvement of physical and social work conditions, and the development of transparent, performance-based remuneration systems to maintain productivity and institutional effectiveness.

Abstract

The increasing complaints of employee fatigue, stress, and declining productivity caused by non-ergonomic office layouts have made the role of workplace interior design more critical in modern organizations. Responding to this phenomenon, this study aims to examine how ergonomics-based office interior design influences employee performance and job satisfaction. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach was employed to analyze journal publications from 2020-2025 that discuss ergonomic workplace elements such as lighting, ventilation, spatial planning, and the use of ergonomic furniture. The findings show that ergonomic interior design increases productivity by improving focus, workflow efficiency, and physical comfort. Natural lighting, adequate ventilation, and structured workspace organization enhance concentration and reduce stress, while the use of adjustable tables and chairs helps prevent musculoskeletal disorders. From a psychological perspective, factors such as neutral colors, visual neatness, and dedicated rest areas contribute to motivation, emotional stability, and a sense of belonging at work. These results imply that ergonomic office interior design represents a strategic and high-value investment for organizations, not only for improving employee well-being and performance in the short term but also for strengthening job satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term organizational sustainability.

Abstract

The rapid digitization of modern work systems enhances connectivity but introduces the challenge of digital information overload, characterized by excessive message streams that disrupt concentration and psychological stability. This study examines the influence of digital communication culture on information overload and its impact on employee productivity and mental health, alongside the regulatory role of office management. Employing a Systematic Literature Review method with a descriptive-qualitative approach, this research synthesizes data from scientific literature indexed in Sinta and Scopus from 2020 to 2025 using thematic content analysis. The findings reveal that unstructured digital interaction and high message intensity correlate with increased work stress and diminished efficiency. Conversely, effective office management strategies, such as structured communication protocols and digital literacy enhancement, mitigate these negative effects while maintaining productivity and mental well-being. The study concludes that managerial intervention is crucial for designing digital communication policies that regulate information flow, ensuring technology supports rather than hinders the psychological balance of employees in hybrid and remote work environments.

Abstract

Generation Z enters the workforce as digital natives with high technological proficiency, yet a significant gap exists between their digital potential and actual Artificial Intelligence (AI) utilization in traditional office settings. The purpose of this research is to analyze this paradox of AI adoption among Generation Z interns in office management contexts. Although this generation is considered highly tech-savvy, preliminary observations indicate a lack of AI utilization in their internship roles. This study aims to investigate the structural, cultural, and task-related barriers that prevent them from effectively leveraging AI. This study employs a qualitative method involving in-depth interviews with eight subjects from various companies in Bandung, supported by relevant literature. The findings reveal that the low adoption of AI is primarily driven by three critical factors: (1) structural barriers, specifically the mandatory use of legacy systems and strict data security policies; (2) cultural barriers, such as hierarchical environments that suppress autonomy; and (3) task-related barriers, where repetitive clerical tasks are deemed incompatible with generative AI capabilities. Through the lens of Task-Technology Fit (TTF) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the analysis demonstrates that high digital literacy does not guarantee adoption when organizational infrastructure barriers exist. The results underscore the urgent need for organizations to modernize their infrastructure and redefine internship roles to fully harness the potential of the Gen Z workforce.

Abstract

The decline in financial performance and operational inefficiency within state-owned plantation enterprises in recent years has prompted the Indonesian government, through the Holding Perkebunan Nusantara, to implement a restructuring policy by merging several plantation companies. One of the key structural reforms was the merger of PTPN X and PTPN XI into the SupportingCo sub-holding, which significantly affected organizational arrangements and financial operations in PTPN I Regional 4 as an implementing entity. This study aims to examine the impact of the merger on financial efficiency and financial governance within PTPN I Regional 4. A qualitative descriptive approach was applied, using primary data obtained through in-depth interviews with the Assistant Manager of Finance, selected purposely based on expertise and direct involvement in the post-merger transition. The results reveal that the merger contributed to improvements in financial efficiency, particularly through the harmonization of financial systems into a single integrated platform, SAP HANA, which reduced work duplication, accelerated authorization processes, and enhanced accuracy in financial recording. In the aspect of financial governance, the merger supported the development of a more standardized organizational structure aligned with Good Corporate Governance principles through clearer distribution of responsibilities and strengthened independent oversight. Nevertheless, challenges emerged related to cultural integration and employee adaptation, requiring continuous communication, structured training, and phased implementation strategies. These findings indicate that merger success depends not only on system integration but also on human resource readiness, leadership alignment, and cultural consolidation over time.

Abstract

The coffee shop industry in Balige is experiencing rapid growth which has triggered intense competition. Partukkoan Coffee Shop stands as a legendary business entity that has survived for three generations with a reputation for hosting national figures, yet it faces challenges regarding brand visibility amidst the onslaught of digitally aggressive modern competitors. This study aims to analyze the effect of the marketing mix strategy consisting of product, price, place, and promotion on the Brand Awareness of Partukkoan Coffee Shop Balige. This research employs mixed methods. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents selected using the accidental sampling technique, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with business owners to strengthen the strategic context analysis. The hypothesis testing results indicate that simultaneously, the marketing mix makes a significant contribution to brand awareness. However, partially, only the Promotion variable is proven to have a positive and statistically significant effect. In contrast, the variables of Product, Price, and Place did not demonstrate a significant effect. These findings indicate that product quality and competitive pricing are considered standard requirements (point of parity) for legacy businesses, implying that the differentiating factor currently lies in communication intensity. The research concludes that Partukkoan's marketing strategy should shift focus from operational development to digital promotion aggressiveness to bridge the gap between strong brand identity and low visibility.
