This study aims to develop a valid and reliable test to measure the critical thinking skills of the high school students of class XI on reaction rate subject matter using the Danczak – Overton – Thompson test framework (DOT test). The research method used in this research is development and validation. In this article, there are three stages of test development, namely the analysis of KI and KD in Chemistry of 2013 curriculum, analysis of the DOT test framework, and the preparation of the test predictions. The development stages produce a draft instrument that is ready to be validated. The developed instrument consists of 30 test questions. The validation stage includes the content validity test by 5 expert judgments. In the validity test, the calculated CVI value is 0.97 so that the instrument is valid. Based on the analysis of research data, it is concluded that the chemistry test based on critical thinking skills that was developed had a good validity value to measure students' critical thinking skills on the reaction rate subject matter.

The purpose of this study was to observe whether the examined learning design can improve students' creativity. at the petroleum lesson by using the examined learning design. This research was conducted in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Takengon. The preferred samples were three second-grade students, a chemical teacher, and two expert lecturers. In this study, the method was descriptive. as it involved two experts, who were lecturers, a chemical teacher, and three second-grade high school students. The data collections were carried out through external and internal feasibility tests. An internal feasibility test was conducted on the chemistry teacher and two expert lecturers, while an external feasibility test was conducted on the three second-grade students. Based on the results, the score results in almost every RADEC stage with a percentage of 91.6% and categorized as very strong, except for the sub-indicator of development creativity or enriching ideas acquired scores of 83.3%. These results imply that petroleum oil learning design with the RADEC model is applicable in the learning process to develop students’ creativity. students’ creativity could be improved by applying chemical learning that uses this learning design.

Earth Physics is a course at the Physics Education Program Study, University of Riau, Indonesia. The problem facing by students were the student commonly not able to imagine the rotation effect and the tilt of rotation axis to some phenomenon. Furthermore the students were difficult to imagine the subduction zone of two tectonic plates. This study was demonstrate some assignments to the student regarding the use Google Earth in the learning the earth physically. In this study, a total of 38 students were chosen to use the Google Earth as an interactive learning media. To demonstrate the Google Earth in the learning process, several assignments have been given to the students. The first was to compare the distance measurement manually and through Google Earth. The second demonstration was to define some selected areas. The third was to demonstrate the tilt axis of rotation effect on the earth. The last was a mini project to demonstrate the use of Google Earth in imagine of the subduction of two tectonic plates. The result shows that mostly students (92%) were able to reconstruction the process involved in the assignment although a few of them cannot explain well. Whilst, 8% of the student were still difficult to reconstruction the process involved in the assignment, although they can submit all the assignments with fairly well. Finally, the Google Earth is generally success used in the demonstration of earth physics subject learning media.

This study aims to analyze the effect of E-Leadership and social interaction both partially and simultaneously on the managerial competence of junior high school principals in Dumai City. The population of this study were 37 people consisting of 22 State Junior High Schools and 15 Private Junior High Schools in Dumai. The sample of this research was a saturated sample, that is, the entire population were sampled. Data collection techniques were using questionnaires for the variables E-leadership, social interaction, and managerial competence of school principals. The data analysis technique used in this research was descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between the variable E-Leadership (X1) and social interaction (X2) on the managerial competence of school principals (Y) SMP in Dumai City 19.4%. This means that the better the E-Leadership and social interaction of the principal, the better the managerial competence of the principal.

This study aims to produce physics learning media in high schools in the form of the development of contextual based electronic global warming modules using a valid, practical and effective flipbook application. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluate). The field trial design used was One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The development of contextual based electronic global warming modules using the flipbook application has passed the validation test stage with an average percentage of material experts at 88.42% with a very valid category and an average percentage of media experts at 85.63% with a very valid category. Practicality test by the teacher obtained an average percentage score of 85.56% with very practical criteria and by students obtained an average percentage score of 91.33% with a very practical category. Improved learning outcomes using e-modules and without e-modules (the results of last year's tests) are included in the increased category. It can be concluded that the use of contextual-based electronic modules using the flipbook application in learning can improve student physics learning outcomes.

The learning media developed based on PowToon in global warming material for grade XI students high school. The purpose of this study was to design, analyze the feasibility, and assess the students responses to PowToon based learning media on global warming material. This type of research is a Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model design. The research instrument used was the PowToon media validation assessment sheet which was used by the validator to assess the feasibility of the learning media. Students also filled out a questionnaire to see the responses to the PowToon media developed. The learning media developed after being assessed and given suggestions by the validator are said to be feasible with the valid category. Based on the research results, it was obtained that the average validation of the four media aspects was 86% with the valid category. The average validation of content aspects, design aspects, pedagogical aspects, and ease aspects in media use. As for the results of filling out the student questionnaire, the overall average was 83% with a good category. Where the average questionnaire motivation, learning outcomes, and scientific attitudes. Thus learning media based on PowToon is declared feasible with the valid category used as a learning media.

The Principal of the State Elementary School in the Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency, had 32 strata 1 academic qualifications and 1 master's degree. However, temporary observations show signs that the academic qualifications of the principals who are not suitable show variations in their performance. The type of research carried out is survey research with a quantitative research approach. The location where this research was conducted is in Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The population of this study were principals of public elementary schools, totaling 37 people. In this study, researchers used a saturated sample. So the sample of this study amounted to 37 people. The results of this study shows there is a significant influence between academic qualifications on the performance of principals in SDS in Rupat District. The magnitude of the effect is 0.601 or 60.1%. There is also a significant influence between work experience on the principal's performance in SDS in Rupat District with the magnitude of the effect is 0.463. The last is there is a significant influence between work motivation on the principal's performance as well in SDS Rupat District.

Mathematical understanding is a very important ability possessed by students in solving mathematical problems. The purpose of this study is to find out the improvement in students mathematical understanding using discovery learning models. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a non equivalent control group design. The samples in this study were SMAN 1 Bangkinang, SMAN 1 XIII Koto Kampar and SMAN 2 Koto Kampar Hulu taken by purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used was the t test, and the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed an increase in mathematical understanding of students learning using discovery learning models is better than students learning to use conventional learning models at the top level of school, medium and as a whole, but at the lower level schools have not increased.

Students with difficulty in comprehending conceptual materials need media that has powers in organizational, procedural visual, and supporting creative thinking; all are integrated in a mind-mapping media. This research is aimed to develop a learning design of Introduction to Management based on mind-mapping media concerning with conceptual materials. This is an early phase of research and development activities, in Introduction to Management class. Data of needs analysis is obtained through survey technique on 38 college students, then followed by literature study and focus group discussions. The result shows that a learning design of Introduction to Management, that highlights conceptual materials, has constructed on the basis of mind-mapping media. The design consisted of learning outcome, stages of preparing mind mapping media, and measurement method of effectiveness of the learning design implementation.
