Abstract

This study examines the thematic verses of prayer through an integration-interconnection paradigm with Muhammad Bahnasi's psychological perspective. Prayer, as an act of worship, has dimensions that go beyond being just a religious obligation. The purpose of this study is to reveal the dimensions of prayer that relate not only to spiritual aspects but also to social ones, as well as how prayer can shape a person to be pious both spiritually and socially. The method used in this study is a literature review with thematic analysis of prayer-related verses in the Qur'an, connecting them to Muhammad Bahnasi's psychological perspective to explore the psychological values contained in the practice of prayer. The findings show that prayer is not just a religious obligation but also a universal human need. Prayer contains dimensions of discipline (an-Nisa: 103), concentration, intellectual intelligence, emotional stability, as well as physical health (al-Maidah: 6) and spiritual well-being (al-Baqarah: 45). Prayer also fosters social righteousness, which is essential for building integrity in social and national life, creating unity, harmony (an-Nisa: 102), collective responsibility (al-‘Asr: 3), and social change (al-‘Ankabut: 45). These dimensions can be formulated into a concept that shapes a person with positive character, both spiritually and socially. This study enriches the understanding of prayer as worship that benefits the individual spiritually while also promoting social well-being, which can be applied to create peace and harmony in society.

Abstract

Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit metabolik, yang melibatkan peningkatan kadar glukosa darah yang abnormal (hiperglikemia). Hiperglikemia yang terjadi pada pasien diabetes dapat menimbulkan berbagai komplikasi kesehatan serius, yang berdampak buruk pada saraf, ginjal, jantung, hati, dan pembuluh darah. Penggunaan pengobatan konvensional dalam mengobati komplikasi diabetes melitus masih menimbulkan beberapa efek samping. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan asam siringat memiliki efek anti diabetes. Literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis hasil penelitian terkait tentang efek fitokimia asam siringat pada diabetes melitus berdasarkan bukti penelitian eksperimental. Tinjauan literatur pada makalah yang diterbitkan dalam bahasa Inggris dalam 10 tahun terakhir (2014 – 2024) dilakukan menggunakan basis data elektronik. Berdasarkan tinjuaun literatur, asam siringat memiliki efek positif terhadap pemulihan fungsi fisiologis tubuh pada diabetes melitus, khususnya dosis sebesar 50 mg/kg bb. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease, which involves an abnormal increase in blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia). Hyperglycemia that occurs in diabetic patients can cause various serious health complications, which have adverse effects on the nerves, kidneys, heart, liver, and blood vessels. The use of conventional medicine in treating complications of diabetes mellitus still causes some side effects. Several studies have shown that syringic acid has anti-diabetic effects. This literature aims to review and analyze the results of related studies on the phytochemical effects of syringic acid on diabetes mellitus based on experimental research evidence. A literature review of papers published in English in the last 10 years (2014 - 2024) was conducted using an electronic database. Based on the literature review, syringic acid has a positive effect on the recovery of physiological body functions in diabetes mellitus, especially at a dose of 50 mg/kg bw.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain real evidence about the influence of "leadership style, work discipline, and career development efforts on employee productivity levels at PT Yuri 8 Sejahtera". Data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 97 employees who work in the company. Data analysis in this study involves the use of multiple regression and correlation tests. Furthermore, the model was tested for suitability through regression fit test, coefficient of determination (R²) test, F test for simultaneous, and t test for partial. As a first step, the validity and reliability of the data were tested to ensure the research instruments were consistent and accurate. From the results of analysis and hypothesis testing, it is evident that leadership style (X1), work discipline (X2), and career development (X3) have a positive and significant influence on employee work productivity (Y). Each variable shows a significance value below 0.05 and the tcount value is above the ttable. These three factors explain 96.6% of the variation in work productivity, the remaining 3.4% is influenced by other factors not included in this study. Thus, organizations need to develop integrated strategic policies in terms of leadership, discipline, and career development as part of the human resource management system. Therefore, improvement in these three aspects is highly recommended to encourage more optimal work productivity.

Abstract

Dalam era digital dan pertumbuhan pesat e-commerce, layanan pengiriman barang menjadi aspek penting dalam mendukung kepuasan pelanggan. JNE, sebagai salah satu penyedia jasa ekspedisi terkemuka di Indonesia, menghadapi tantangan dalam menjaga kualitas pelayanan di tengah tingginya ekspektasi pelanggan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ketepatan waktu pengiriman dan kondisi paket terhadap kepuasan pelanggan pada layanan JNE di Kota Purwokerto. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis varians dua arah tanpa replikasi (Two-Way ANOVA Without Replication), dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 60 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner tertutup dan diolah menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ketepatan waktu pengiriman tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan, sementara kondisi paket memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan. Selain itu, tidak ditemukan interaksi signifikan antara ketepatan waktu dan kondisi paket dalam memengaruhi kepuasan pelanggan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelanggan cenderung lebih memperhatikan kualitas fisik paket yang diterima dibandingkan dengan ketepatan waktu pengirimannya. Oleh karena itu, JNE disarankan untuk meningkatkan kualitas penanganan paket guna menjaga dan meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Instagram has become a dominant social media platform that influences public decisions, particularly when selecting travel destinations and culinary spots. The @JKTGO account, with 1.4 million followers, leverages visually appealing content to shape the public's visit intentions. This study analyses the impact of Instagram exposure and content visualization on the intentions of the public to visit. This study uses SOR theory with a quantitative method using a survey of 385 respondents. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that both Instagram exposure and content visualization significantly influence visit intentions, with content visualization having a more substantial impact. The study concludes that visual elements are crucial in digital marketing strategies, particularly in enhancing the appeal of travel and culinary destinations. These findings can assist destination managers, and businesses develop more effective promotional strategies.

Abstract

Circumcision is a common minor surgical procedure performed not only for cultural or religious reasons but also as a preventive measure against infectious diseases and penile cancer. The selection of an appropriate anesthesia method plays a critical role in ensuring patient comfort and procedural effectiveness. This study aims to examine the most suitable anesthesia techniques in circumcision procedures with a focus on their preventive role against penile cancer. The method employed is a systematic literature review of clinical and epidemiological journals discussing the link between circumcision, anesthesia techniques, and penile cancer incidence. The results indicate that local anesthesia, particularly the dorsal penile nerve block, is most recommended due to its efficiency, safety, and minimal postoperative pain. Circumcision is shown to reduce the risk of HPV infection and balanitis, two contributing factors to penile cancer. In conclusion, the appropriate choice of anesthesia in circumcision enhances patient experience and reinforces its role as a preventive measure against penile cancer.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of the storytelling method in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning on students' academic achievement at SMP Al-Munawwir, South Sangatta. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires, classroom observations, and supporting documentation. The sample consisted of 56 students from grades VII to IX, selected using simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The analysis results showed a Pearson correlation value of r = 0.412, categorized as moderate, with a coefficient of determination of 41.2%. This indicates that the storytelling method in PAI learning contributes significantly to improving students' learning outcomes, while the remaining 58.8% is influenced by other unexamined factors. The resulting regression equation is Y = 11.591 + 0.227X, which can be used to predict academic improvement based on the application of storytelling. These findings demonstrate that the storytelling method is an effective pedagogical approach for enhancing students’ understanding of Islamic teachings and increasing their academic achievement in religious education.

Abstract

Qur'anic exegesis is often enriched with Isra'aliyyat narrations to supplement its concise narratives. Imam al-?abari, in his magnum opus Jami? al-Bayan, includes many such reports, one of which concerns the trial of Prophet Solomon (Sulayman) in Surah ?ad, verse 34. This research transcends the traditional criticism of these Isra'iliyyat. Employing a critical hermeneutic framework that combines a 'hermeneutics of suspicion' with a 'hermeneutics of retrieval,' this article posits that al-Tabari's inclusion of problematic narrations was not a methodological weakness but a conscious intellectual act. Al-Tabari deliberately bequeathed a hermeneutic tension between the preservation of the transmission-based tradition (naql) and the safeguarding of theological integrity ('aql). Through a comparative analysis with later exegetes (such as Ibn Kathir and al-Razi) and an interdisciplinary analysis of literary motifs, this study demonstrates that the case of Surah Sad: 34 serves as a microcosm reflecting the complex dynamics in the formation of authority and discourse in classical Islamic exegesis (tafsir). Consequently, al-Tabari is viewed not merely as a collector, but as a brilliant archivist who mapped the entire spectrum of thought of his time, leaving it to be interrogated by subsequent generations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structure and dynamics of Muhammadiyah Australia College (MAC) spending as a community-based Islamic educational institution in Australia in the period from 2021 to 2023.  Using a qualitative descriptive approach and analysis of annual financial data, this study shows a significant shift in the MAC spending structure.  In the early stages of establishment in 2021, spending was dominated by external consulting services.  However, as operations develop, spending in 2022 and 2023 is more focused on internal expenses such as employee salaries, superannuation, educational infrastructure, and information technology.  Although revenues have increased significantly, faster growing expenditures have led to budget deficits that need managerial attention.  The results of this study underscore the importance of efficient, transparent, and strategic financial management in community educational institutions, as well as the need to diversify revenue sources and implement adaptive financial information systems.  These findings are expected to be a reference for similar institutions in improving the efficiency of spending and the sustainability of education operations in the diaspora.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership style of the principal at SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Yogyakarta and its impact on teacher performance. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document studies. The findings indicate that the principal applies a transformational and collaborative leadership style, characterized by openness, support for innovation, and the empowerment of teachers. Strategies such as continuous academic supervision, internal training, the establishment of learning communities, and the use of educational technology have proven to positively affect teacher motivation, professionalism, and work spirit. However, challenges such as the digital literacy gap, high administrative burdens, and varying teacher characteristics remain significant obstacles. These findings highlight the importance of adaptive, communicative leadership that fosters collaboration in creating a productive work environment and enhancing the quality of education. This study is expected to contribute to the development of leadership in schools and provide insights for school principals in utilizing effective leadership strategies to improve teacher performance.
