Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of bank health ratios on the financial performance of Islamic Commercial Banks using the ratio of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) ratio, Operating Expenses Operating Income ratio (OEOI), against Islamic Commercial Bank’s profitability represented by Return on Asset ratio (ROA). The population used in this study is the financial statements of Islamic Commercial Banks period 2015 until 2017. Types of quantitative data with library data collection techniques, and documentation. Technical analysis of data using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 20 program. The results showed that health variables (CAR, LDR, and OEOI) simultaneously affect the Financial Performance of Islamic Commercial Banks. Partially CAR has no significant effect on ROA, LDR has no significant effect on ROA. The effect of OEOI on ROA is partial.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the motivation conditions as well as to look at the factors that contributes that dominant factor and contribute to the motivation permanent lectures on Faculty Communication and Business of Telkom University. The research method is descriptive quantitative. The respondent in this study is permanent lectures on Faculty Communication and Business of Telkom University. Factor in this research totaled ten factors, consisting of quality supervision, existence, company policy, a good working place, relationships with co-workers, promotion, growth, recognition, obligations, and goal. Research data obtained from the dissemination of the questionnaire to 70 respondents and study of literature. Analytical using data techniques is descriptive analysis and analysis of the factors. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, the motivation permanent lectures on the category “good” that amounted to 71%. The results of the analysis of the factors mentioned that promotion factor and goal factor is the factor that formed after the reduction of the ten factors. Promotion factor represented by company policy, recognition, quality supervision, relationships with co-workers, growth, and existence has value loading factor is 0,874. While the goal factor represented by a good working place and obligations has highest value loading factor is 0,924.

Abstract

This research was written in order to find out the relation between cash ratio, debt to equity ratio, firm size and growth to a dividend payout ratio of the manufacturing industry. The samples consisted of 20 manufacturing companies from 2008 through 2010 and still listed on IDX. Research sample using purposive sampling of companies for the period ended 2008 - 2010 analyzed by using the two tail linear regression methodology. The analysis technique used here is multiple regression with the least square difference and hypothesis test using t-statistic to examine partial regression coefficient and F-statistic to examine the mean of mutual effect with level of significance 5%. The result showed that the factors that affect significantly to the dividend payout ratio were a debt to equity ratio and growth. The other factors such as cash ratio and firm size had no significant relations. But the other result of this research showed that cash ratio, debt to equity ratio, firm size and growth were simultaneously had a significant effect on dividend payout ratio.

Abstract

Implementation of information technology in an organization will certainly give a reaction to its users, it can be acceptance or rejection of these technology. Applications Digital Library is a facility that provides a collection of information in digital format. Indonesia Banking School implemented the Digital Library applications in early 2012. Based on user's activity data on January-June 2012, there is indication of the low acceptance of the user (use acceptance) to the digital library applications. Those makes the researchers wanted to know what are the factors that inffluence users to use digital library application.The research design was the modification model of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and combined with the model Academic Discipline based Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (ADUTAUT). Methods of data collection using questionnaires, while the data processing and decision making used Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using Lisrel.The result factors that affects users using digital library application are preceived of usefulness, preceived of ease of use, and preceived of faciltating condition.Keywords: Digital Application Library, UTAUT, ADUTAUT, Structural Equation Modelling.

Abstract

Technology has changed the way people manage both their work and other areas of life.The study analyz-ing the pressure of new technology on the careers of young students from the perspective of career theory. To achieve the objectives of this study, the authors consider the perspective that suggest dividing career theory between traditional and non-traditional. The study involved 111 respondents. The result showed that the variable Self Identity, Perception Competence and Interpersonal Relations together influence the Pres-sure of new technology in a career.

Abstract

The main purpose of the company's operation today is to maximize the value of the company. Corporate value is not only influenced by economic performance, but can come from performance derived from social activities. But in reality, it eventually leads to a conflict of interest that occurs within the company, so that necessary to implement mechanisms to reduce the conflict. The purpose of this research to provide evidence to determine effect of intellectual capital, corporate sustainability disclosure, and corporate governance to corporate values with company size and leverage as control variables. This research can provide benefits as knowledge related to how wide the company pursues intellectual capital, corporate social responsibility, and corporate governance in increasing the value of the company. This research samples is focused on state-owned enterprises listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange for period 2013 – 2016 with total 48 data used in this research. This research use multiple regression to test the hypothesis. The result of this research is intellectual capital and corporate sustainability disclosure have positively influence towards corporate values. Corporate governance has no influence towards corporate values. For control variables, company size has no influence towards corporate values and leverage has negatively influence towards corporate values.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to determine the influence of role ambiguity and role conflict on employee creativity either partially or simultaneously. This research used associative method by collecting primary and secondary data obtained through the literature study, interviews, and distributing questionnaires to 30 respondents that happens to be the employee of PT XYZ. Then data is processed using multiple regression method. From the data analysis, it is shown that role ambiguity has a positive and significant influence to employee creativity as much as 36,9%. Another result of this research shows that role conflict doesn’t have a significant influence on employee creativity with a value of 7,6%. While another result of this research shows that role ambiguity and role conflict simultaneously had positive influence significantly as much as 40,4% on employee creativity at PT XYZ

Abstract

This research analyzes gold investment in Islamic banking: quantitative simulation of gold farming. It uses secondary data, which are qardh financing for gold pawning, gold price per troy ounce per USD also rupiah exchange rate per USD and using quantitative simulation technique with mathematics method. There are several fundings from this research. Firstly, gold farming practices can cause losses, especially in lag four. It is caused by world gold prices fluctuations and the volatility of the rupiah exchange rate. Secondly, the amount of losses and profits every month and year is different in each lag execution among lag 1, lag 2, lag 3 and lag 4 months. Thirdly, a comparison result shows that frequency of losses and profits each year during simulation period causes difference final values of losses and profits. Based on simulation in this research, there are several things determining gold farming practices. They are gold value, Financing to Value (FTV) ratio, lag and the amount of pawned gold. So, it must be regulated or restricted by the regulator to prevent the customer doing gold farming practices in Islamic banks.

Abstract

More than often, banks are ranked based on their total assets. The bigger its assets the higher its position in the rank. To maintain its position in a higher rank, a bank may take extra efforts, to maintain its total assets high, whether by increasing its performance or manipulating their financial statement like window dressing. The higher its position in the rank the more likely a bank to perform temporary banking activities at the year end to increase its assets. The examples of the such activities are increasing temporarily customer deposits in the year end. Those temporary activities in are tending toward a window dressing.This paper examines the possibilities of window dressing activities at the year end conducted by high ranked banks by temporarily pushed their assets up through extra efforts in gathering temporary customer deposits at the year end. If those window dressing activities really exist, researchers expect that data will show temporary increase in assets, customer deposits and also cost of funds of high ranked banks in Indonesia. Researcher uses the monthly data and started from January 2006 untill December 2011.This research shows an evidence that bank total assets increase significantly at the year-end and the increase is temporary. Further, the increase in total assets appears to be funded with purchased demand deposit, savings, and time deposits. This research also shows that larger banks are more likely than smaller banks to exhibit window dressing.Keywords: banks, window dressing, asset.
