Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the development of a humanistic educational management model based on the exemplary leadership of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), serving as both a conceptual and implementational foundation for modern Islamic education systems. His exemplary leadership is not only a normative guide but also a practical framework in educational management that holistically humanizes students. The research employs a qualitative approach with utilizing a literature review of classical texts, tafsir, hadith, the history of Islamic education, and contemporary studies on humanistic educational management. The findings indicate that the values of Tawhid (monotheism), noble character, compassion, justice, and wisdom exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) form the foundational principles for building a holistic education system. This system goes beyond academic achievement, focusing on character development, social competence, and the spiritual growth of students. The implementation of this model is observed through several dimensions: educational leadership that prioritizes exemplary behaviour, a dialogical and participatory teaching system, a curriculum that integrates prophetic values, a humanistic evaluation system aligned with students' development, and the creation of a conducive learning environment focused on the common good. Further research is recommended to develop operational models and implementational tools for formal educational institutions, ensuring that prophetic values can be applied systematically, measurably, and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to thoroughly examine the strategic efforts in empowering alumni to develop the Islamic boarding school. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Data analysis followed an interactive model, encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, with the validity of the data ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results of the study reveal that alumni empowerment is carried out through strengthening the alumni organization, utilizing digital communication and networks, and involving alumni in education, economic, and socio-religious sectors. Alumni play a strategic role as partners of the boarding school in improving the quality of learning, enhancing social networks, and supporting institutional development. Furthermore, the research found that alumni have contributed significantly to the advancement of educational practices, with alumni-led initiatives positively impacting student engagement and curriculum enrichment. The study also indicates that the engagement of alumni in social-economic programs has facilitated the establishment of community-driven projects that promote the welfare of both the alumni and the surrounding community. Practically, it provides strategic recommendations to optimize the role of alumni sustainably. Future research could further explore the impact of alumni empowerment on long-term institutional sustainability and the broader socio-economic development of the Islamic boarding school community.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of daily financing practices on the development of independence among student in Islamic boarding schools. The research problem addresses how financial management routines, such as budgeting, saving, and managing personal expenses, contribute to the formation of independence in new student, who are exposed to these practices as part of their daily lives at the boarding school. Using a case study design with a qualitative approach, this research involved in-depth interviews and observations, chosen purposively to represent the diversity of experiences. The data analysis was conducted through thematic coding, identifying key patterns in the financial habits of student and how these practices influence their independence. Findings reveal that daily financing routines are closely linked to the development of self-reliance, with sense of responsibility in managing personal finances. Furthermore, the ability to make financial decisions independently strengthens their overall confidence in other aspects of life. Financial discipline not only supports the practical aspects of daily living but also fosters a deeper understanding of budgeting, prioritizing needs, and avoiding impulsive behaviour. A significant portion of the student expressed that these financial habits significantly contributed to their personal growth and independence. Based on these findings, it is recommended that future studies examine the long-term effects of financial education within Islamic boarding school and its broader impact on character development.

Abstract

The quality of educational institutions is not solely determined by curriculum and facilities, but is significantly influenced by the quality of human resources, particularly teachers and educational staff. However, performance evaluations in many educational institutions tend to be administrative and result-oriented, often failing to optimally encourage professional behaviour changes. This article aims to analyze human resource performance evaluations in education as a solution to this issue from the perspective of Albert Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory. The theory suggests that individual behaviour is influenced by the reciprocal interaction between personal factors, and environment, thus performance evaluation should function not only as an evaluation tool but also as a learning process. This research adopts a qualitative approach through a literature review of relevant books and journal articles. The findings indicate that performance evaluations based on Social Cognitive Theory can enhance self-confidence, self-regulation skills, work motivation, and foster organizational learning through observation, reflection, and positive feedback. And also, this approach encourages teachers to internalize new skills, leading to a more adaptive and productive work environment. It also promotes a shift towards continuous professional development and improves collaboration among staff. Additionally, the theory-based evaluation model offers insights into individualized growth for teachers, making it a potent strategy for enhancing educational quality. This research recommends further empirical studies on the long-term impacts of Social Cognitive-based performance evaluations on institutional growth and teacher development.

Abstract

This study explores managerial activation within organizational contexts through the Qur’an, elucidating insights derived from Hamka’s Tafsir Al‑Azhar to conceptualize an Islamic framework for value-driven leadership. Although contemporary management research emphasizes efficiency and performance metrics, few studies integrate Qur’anic principles emphasizing collective moral action as a catalyst for organizational motivation and mobilization. Employing a qualitative, literature-based methodology, this research analyzes primary sources and supplementary secondary literature on Islamic management theory. Data collection involved systematic textual examination of selected Qur’anic verses interpreted, while comparative analysis contextualized spiritual insights within modern organizational paradigms. Data were analyzed through thematic coding and interpretive synthesis to identify key managerial constructs. Findings indicate that Qur’anic managerial principles encompass visionary leadership articulating organizational purpose, moral accountability fostering ethical decision-making, and collaborative engagement enhancing social cohesion. Ethical oversight ensures alignment with both spiritual and operational standards, while orientation toward collective welfare links organizational success to societal benefit. The study further reveals that embedding Qur’anic principles strengthens structural efficiency while cultivating ethically grounded and socially responsive leadership practices. Consequently, this research offers a conceptual contribution toward a holistic Islamic management model and recommends empirical validation of these principles across diverse organizational settings to assess applicability and impact.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of public relations management (PR) as a strategic means in strengthening the branding of Islamic educational institutions in the midst of increasingly competitive competition from educational institutions. Strengthening branding is no longer understood as limited to the promotional aspect, but as a systematic process in building public image, reputation, and trust through planned, integrated, and sustainable communication. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design on one of the Islamic educational institutions that is actively developing public communication strategies. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies, then it will be analyzed using interactive analysis techniques that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that public relations management plays a significant role in building institutional identity, strengthening positioning, and increasing engagement with stakeholders through digital media and strategic partnership activities. The implementation of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating functions in public relations management has been proven to be able to increase the visibility of institutions and expand collaboration network trough internal communication, evaluation, and value-based branding. These findings confirm that professional and adaptive public relations management is an important instrument in supporting the competitiveness and sustainability of Islamic educational institutions in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

Curriculum management is a strategic instrument in determining the direction of educational quality; however, its effectiveness is often hindered by the limited structural resources in private schools. This study aims to analyze the implementation of curriculum management functions, including planning, development, implementation, and evaluation, and its impact on educational quality. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings reveal that curriculum management is carried out through a pragmatic-adaptive approach as a response to the lack of facilities and competencies. Planning and development are carried out through benchmarking strategies and partial modifications to address the scarcity of professional training. Implementation relies heavily on teacher agency with dual job responsibilities and social capital based on familial ties, yet is distorted by low external participation. Evaluation has shifted its orientation from pedagogical substance to administrative concerns, with the adoption of compensatory assessment mechanisms based on character development to support students' academic progress. The significance of this research lies in its contribution to understanding how curriculum management, adapted to resource constraints, can still ensure the sustainability of quality education in private schools, providing valuable insights for other similar institutions facing comparable challenges.
