Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of motivation levels on the decision-making process regarding the establishment of productive business ventures among students of the Faculty of Economics. The study employs quantitative research with an associative approach. Primary data were collected by distributing a questionnaire via Google Forms to 50 respondents, comprising 30 questions or statements. Purposive sampling was used as the sampling technique. Data processing was conducted using SPSS version 25 for Windows. The results indicate that motivation has a positive and significant influence on students' decisions to start a business, as evidenced by a significance value of 0.003 (which is less than 0.05) and a calculated t-value of 5.394 (which exceeds the t-table value of 1.686). Furthermore, the study found a substantial influence of 34.6%, while the remaining 69.4% is attributed to variables outside the scope of this research.

Abstract

This research aims to analyzing the influence of demographic factors based on economic growth in North Sumatra Province on the period 2010–2025. This research aims to analyzing the effect of population growth rate, dependency ratio, and labor force participation rate regarding to the economic expansion of North Sumatra Province, as well as to project the demographic bonus phenomenon until 2030. This research uses secondary time series data from 2010-2025 collected from the official records of Statistics Indonesia (BPS). The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the help of EViews 9, the Trend Least Squares method, and the geometric method for projections. According to the output, GRDP is negatively and significantly influenced by both population growth rate and dependency ratio, whereas the labor force participation rate exhibits a positive but non-significant effect. On a simultaneous basis, these three factors significantly affect GRDP, with an Adjusted R-Squared coefficient of 70.82%. The 2030 projection results indicate a population growth rate of 1.47%, a dependency ratio of 48.06%, and a participation rate of the 2030 projection results show a population growth rate of 1.47%, a dependency ratio of 48.06%, a labor force participation rate of 75.53%, and a GRDP at current prices of IDR 789.089,01 billion. These findings suggest that North Sumatra Province has the potential to capitalize on the demographic bonus to accelerate economic expansion by elevating human resource capabilities and generating employment opportunities.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of the exchange rate, narrow money supply (M1), inflation, and interest rates on bank lending in Indonesia. Using annual secondary data for the period 2010-2024 obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Bank Indonesia, and the One Data Trade Portal of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, the study employs Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) multiple linear regression to analyze the empirical relationship between monetary variables and bank lending. The results indicate that the exchange rate and M1 have positive and significant effects on bank lending, while inflation has a negative but insignificant effect and interest rates have a positive but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly affect bank lending. The findings suggest that exchange rate movements and liquidity conditions play a more important role in explaining bank lending than inflation and interest rates during the observation period. These results highlight the importance of maintaining monetary stability and adequate liquidity to support the banking sector’s intermediation function and promote sustainable credit growth in Indonesia.

This paper investigates the simultaneous and partial effects of online testimonials and trust on customer buying decisions for Kahf face wash via Shopee. A quantitative approach with an associative-causal research framework was utilized to conduct the study. The study’s population involved students at Digital Technology University who had purchased Kahf Face Wash products from the Kahf Official Store on Shopee. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to 100 respondents, Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression, supplemented by t-tests and F-tests to assess significance, alongside the coefficient of determination to measure model fit. The results indicate that trust (0.423; p = 0.017) and digital online testimonials (t = 6.085; p = 0.000) exerted a positive and significant influence on customers buying decisions. Concurrently, both independent variables demonstrated a substantial joint effect (F = 52.948; p = 0.000), explaining 53.2% of the variance in customer buying decisions. These findings suggest that strengthening consumer trust and effectively managing positive online testimonials can enhance consumers' purchasing decisions on digital marketplaces.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the effect of family functioning and emotional regulation on romantic beliefs among firstborn daughters. An approach using quantitative methods with purposive sampling was employed. The study involved 217 firstborn daughters who met the predetermined eligibility requirements. Information was gathered through the Family Assessment Device (FAD), the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), and the Romantic Beliefs Scale (RBS), and were statistically examined through multivariable regression analysis. The findings demonstrated that familial dynamics and emotional regulation simultaneously exerted a substantial influence on romantic beliefs (F = 239.500, p < .001), explaining 69.1% of the variance (R² = .691). Furthermore, both variables had a positive and significant effect on romantic beliefs, with emotional regulation demonstrating a stronger contribution than family functioning. These findings suggest that healthy family functioning and effective emotional regulation play important roles in shaping romantic beliefs among firstborn daughters.

Abstract

Service quality is a key determinant of patient satisfaction, particularly in Emergency Departments (EDs), where healthcare services must be delivered promptly, accurately, and responsively. This study aims to examine the relationship between SERVQUAL-based service quality and patient satisfaction in the Emergency Department of Siti Fatimah Az-Zahra Regional Hospital, South Sumatra Province. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to 94 respondents, consisting of patients and their family members in the ED. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and the Chi-Square test to examine the relationship between variables. The findings revealed a significant relationship between service quality and patient satisfaction (p < 0.001). These results indicate that better service quality across the SERVQUAL dimensions is associated with higher patient satisfaction in emergency care. This study highlights the importance of improving reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible aspects of healthcare services to enhance patient satisfaction in hospital emergency departments.

Abstract

This study is motivated by rising psychological pressure on athletes from social media and the importance of social support for self-confidence. It analyzes the effect of social media pressure and social support on the self-confidence of Persipa Pati football players. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from all 116 players through total sampling with a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring social media pressure, social support, and self-confidence, then analyzed using multiple linear regression. Results show that social media pressure negatively affects self-confidence, while social support has a positive effect; together, both variables significantly influence players’ self-confidence. These findings indicate that athletes’ self-confidence depends not only on internal factors but also on digital social dynamics and social support received. Managing social media pressure and strengthening social support are therefore essential for improving athletes’ psychological condition.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of live commerce has transformed TikTok Shop into a platform where promotional strategies and host–consumer interactions play an increasingly important role in shaping purchasing behavior. This study investigates the influence of sales promotion and parasocial interaction on the purchase decisions of TikTok Shop users in Bandung, Indonesia. A quantitative research design was employed using survey data collected from 100 respondents who had previously purchased products through TikTok Shop. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression supported by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The findings reveal that both sales promotion and parasocial interaction exert a positive and statistically significant influence on purchase decisions. Sales promotion demonstrated a significant partial effect (t = 4.244, p < 0.001), while parasocial interaction also showed a significant positive effect (t = 3.630, p < .001). Simultaneously, the two variables significantly explained variations in purchase decisions (F = 25.785, p < 0.001). These findings indicate that consumers are more likely to complete purchases when attractive promotional incentives are accompanied by meaningful interactions with live-streaming hosts. The study highlights the importance of integrating promotional programs with interactive communication strategies to enhance consumer conversion within social commerce platforms.
