Abstract

In the past decade, the global education landscape has undergone a fundamental transformation along with the massive penetration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. This shift is marked by a transition from conventional teaching methods to a sophisticated adaptive learning ecosystem, where technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and learning analytics work synergistically to create a learning experience that is not only personalized but also highly responsive to each student's unique needs. To comprehensively dissect this phenomenon, this article applies the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by critically examining selected research indexed in the Scopus database. The goal is not just to map trends, but to identify existing research gaps and analyze the real impact of AI on learning outcomes. The findings of this review underscore the revolutionary potential of AI in democratizing access to education; This technology is able to increase students' cognitive engagement and motivation through materials tailored to their respective learning speeds and styles. However, this narrative of technological advancement does not come without complexity. Behind this optimism, the adoption of AI in the education sector is facing a significant wall of structural challenges. Crucial issues such as inequality of digital access that can widen the social gap, ethical dilemmas related to student data privacy, and the level of pedagogical readiness of educators in integrating these new tools, are the main highlights of this study. Therefore, this article exists as an effort to provide in-depth strategic insights for educators and policymakers, encouraging the design of AI-based education systems that are not only technically sophisticated, but also inclusive, ethical, and sustainable for the future.

Abstract

The increasing moral challenges faced by students in the digital age require educational strategies that are not only cognitively oriented but also capable of fostering a commitment to religious values and ethical behavior. This study aims to formulate a conceptual framework on how technology-based learning media can be designed and implemented pedagogically to internalize religious ethical values in students, by linking the concepts of digital media, value internalization theory, religious character education, and the context of Society 5.0. The method used is a qualitative approach through literature study with content analysis; literature is selected from reputable scientific sources and analyzed thematically to map trends, media forms, success factors, and the potential and challenges of implementation. The results of the study show a shift in the function of technology from merely presenting material to becoming an effective "mediator of valuable experiences" when supported by learning orchestration (assignments, discussions, reflections) so that digital experiences are transformed into ethical meanings. The dominant media discussed include VR/360°, digital game-based learning, interactive multimedia, film-making/docutube, and the e-learning/LMS ecosystem, with the determining factors for success being the alignment of design with value objectives, teachers' pedagogical and digital literacy competencies, and institutional support (infrastructure, training, policies). The main challenges include the risk of reducing values to mere entertainment/visuals, access inequality, and the need for cultural sensitivity and a safe learning space. Conceptually, the internalization of religious ethical values through technology requires value-conscious learning design that is integrated, sustainable, and measurable within the educational ecosystem.

Abstract

The use of digital media in learning has the potential to increase students' motivation to learn, but the impact does not appear automatically just because learning uses technology. The literature shows that the influence of digital media on motivation is more determined by the quality of learning design, the suitability of activities with students' learning needs, and the readiness of educators and school support. This study aims to summarize research findings on the mechanisms of digital media in strengthening learning motivation, the types of media that are often reported to be effective, the remaining empirical evidence gaps, and implementation challenges in the field. The method used is a qualitative literature review with thematic content analysis of relevant journal articles and supporting sources that strengthen the conceptual foundation. The results of the synthesis show that digital media tends to increase motivation when learning is designed interactively, provides quick feedback, provides a clear learning structure, and encourages active participation through collaboration and production of works. The Learning Experience Design (LXD) approach emphasizes that improving digital learning experiences through easy navigation, directed activity flows, and self-regulation support contributes to strengthening self-efficacy, task value, and self-regulation (Wong & Hughes, 2023). On the other hand, the findings across studies also confirm challenges in the form of access inequalities, technical constraints, variations in teachers' digital competencies, as well as the risk of distraction and privacy issues in the use of certain platforms (Wang & Tahir, 2020; González-Mohíno et al., 2024; Özdemir, 2025). This study emphasizes the need for digital media integration as a context-based pedagogical project, not just a platform selection, while encouraging the strengthening of evidence at the elementary-high school level and standardization of motivation measurement so that research conclusions are stronger and more applicable. Abstract

This study aims to examine classical and contemporary interpretations of Surah An-Nisā’ verses 5-6, with a focus on the concept of ar rusyd and its relevance to the formation of social responsibility and youth character education. This study is motivated by differences in exegetical approaches that tend to limit ar-rusyd to intellectual competence and financial management in classical interpretations, alongside contemporary efforts to expand its meaning to encompass moral and social dimensions. This research employs a qualitative method using a library research approach, through comparative analysis of classical tafsir literature and relevant contemporary studies. The findings indicate that ar-rusyd does not merely represent intellectual maturity but also includes moral maturity, clarity of reasoning, and social readiness in carrying trust (amanah) and responsibility. Contemporary interpretations emphasize that the concept of ar rusyd is consistent with the principles of justice and equality that constitute the fundamental values of the Qur’an and cannot be used as a justification for discriminatory hierarchical relations. Furthermore, this study finds that ar-rusyd, together with the values of amanah and nafs, can serve as a conceptual foundation for developing a Qur'an-based model of youth character education. In conclusion, the actualization of the concept of ar-rusyd makes a significant contribution to strengthening thematic Qur'anic exegesis and advancing Islamic education oriented toward the formation of mature, just, and responsible character.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the transformation of teachers' roles in developing students' critical literacy through contextual learning at SMP N 3 Teras. The transformation of teachers' roles has become crucial in line with the demands of 21st-century education, which emphasizes critical thinking skills as a basic competency for students. Teachers function not only as conveyors of information but also as facilitators, mediators, and developers of learning environments that encourage students to explore, analyze, and reflect deeply on information. Contextual learning is implemented as an approach that connects subject matter with the realities of students' lives, thus encouraging active engagement and meaningful understanding. Through strategies such as reflective discussions, real-life problem solving, and collaborative projects, teachers strive to build students' abilities in identifying real-life issues, evaluating arguments, and drawing logical conclusions. This study applies a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with the literacy coordination teacher and several students, and document collection. The location of this study was in the seventh grade of SMP N 3 Teras. Teachers' success in developing critical literacy through contextual learning is influenced by several factors, including teacher pedagogical competence, school environmental support, availability of learning resources, student readiness, and collaboration between teachers and the school. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the development of more innovative learning practices oriented towards strengthening students' critical literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to conceptually analyze the internalization of Qur'anic values in the development of Islamic morals for children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in the framework of inclusive Islamic education. The research uses a qualitative approach through the library research method by examining scientific sources in the form of national and international books and articles published in 2021–2025 that are relevant to Qur'anic education, Islamic morals, inclusive Islamic education, and characteristics of ADHD children. Data were analyzed through a process of reduction, thematic categorization, and conceptual synthesis with a critical dialogue between literature findings. The results of the study show that the internalization of Qur'anic values in ADHD children faces obstacles in the form of limited attention, impulsivity, and weak self-regulation, so that cognitive-oriented and memorization learning approaches have not been effective in shaping religious behavior. Therefore, the internalization of Qur'anic values needs to be carried out through an inclusive, humanist, and process-oriented approach, such as gradual habituation, example, spiritual assistance, and concrete and contextual religious activities. This research has the value of originality in the development of an integrative conceptual framework that combines Qur'anic values, Islamic moral development, and the characteristics of ADHD child development in inclusive Islamic education, so that it can be a theoretical reference in the development of adaptive and sustainable moral development models.
