Abstract

Indonesian logistics sector is poised for expeditious growth over the coming years fueled by the burgeoning economy, expanding middle class urban population, robust manufacturing sector, and large domestic consumption. Although challenges such as poor infrastructure, centralized port network, protracted and bureaucratic customs procedures, extortionate transportation costs, complex regulatory environment, plummeting commodity prices, limited access to banking system, and geotechnical challenges of the archipelagic state exist, the demand for modern warehousing and logistics facilities in Indonesia is proliferating as businesses have realized the positive impact of improved logistics efficiencies on their financial statements. Further, the fledging Indonesian logistics sector – boosted by increased government spending on infrastructure development since 2015 – has unambiguous indications of an imbalance in demand and supply of efficacious warehousing space thus presenting a plethora of opportunities for domestic entrants and international incumbents alike. However, local incumbents such as JNE Logistics, whose inception in 1990 marked their entry in an uncontested blue ocean market, is now battling in a red ocean to keep their stewardship afloat. This paper is a feasibility study of JNE’s marketing activities evaluating the gaps in their current go-to-market blueprint for their express logistics operations and recommending innovative promotional strategies which is not easily imitable. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to develop a snack bar product made from composite flour of Onggok and tapioca as an alternative emergency food and protein source. Additionally, to analyze the chemistry of a snack bar product made from Onggok composite flour. The study was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments and was repeated 3 times, that was the ratio of onggok composite flour and wheat flour. The ratio of onggok composite flour and wheat flour composition consisted of six levels, they were F1 (50%:50%), F2 (60%:40%), F3 (70%:30%), F4 (80%:20%),  F5 (90%:10%), F6 (100%:0%). Then the data was processed by using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) and continued with the LSD test (Least Significant Difference) at a significant level of 5%. The results of the proximate analysis showed that the protein of the snack bar was 11.06%, the dietary fiber was 8.23%, the ash content was 1.24%, and the moisture content was 3.27%. Based on the organoleptic test, it showed that the preferred level of consumer satisfaction was F1 with a ratio of 50%:50%. Therefore, the Onggok composite flour snack bar is good to use as an alternative high protein emergency food that deserves to be developed.Keywords: Onggok Composite Flour, Snack bar, Emergency foo

Abstract

This paper aims to investigate how Body Glove, an outdoor water sports brand started in the United States, drives organizational success. This brand specializes in wet suits. Body Glove has good product quality and continues to develop its product via research and development to meets customers’ expectations. Their passion for water sports led them to create the first wet suit to help fight those cold California waters. The price offered by Body Glove is affordable and worth it with its quality. Body Glove also provides online shopping that can ease customers to enjoy online shopping. We will test the hypotheses using survey. This paper contributes to understanding of how driving factors results in organizational success

Abstract

Tourism sectors have great potentials in increasing regional income. The program from the government to increase the number of tourisms is to prioritize tourism development, one of which is tourism on Lombok Island. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the government role in the development of community-based tourism in Lombok, especially the Mandalika Special Economic Zone in Central Lombok Regency. The analysis technique used in this study is to use convinience sampling techniques that are rarely used in previous tourism research in Lombok. The study contended that government role in the development of community-based tourism includes planning, development of main facilities, tourism expenditure policies, making and enforcing regulations. It also underlined that the driving factors in economic growth required participation of local communities. The inhibiting factors of local communities are educational background, employment, and gender.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to conduct an analysis and study related to how the existence of the Nedosa offense as a Sangihe customary crime and how this offense is included in the renewal of the national criminal law. The prohibition of Nedosa is still existed nowadays and is obeyed by the community and traditional leaders, the settlement is still using customary law methods even though the judicial system has been implemented by the general court. By using a normative juridical research method that focuses on the study of documents and legal materials, both laws and customary decisions are found to be (1) Judiciary, using Law No. 1 Drt/1951 concerning Provisional Measures to Organize Unitary Powers and Procedures for Civil Courts. (2) The case of Donor or “Blood Pollution” (Delik Nedosa) is a unique crime that only exists in the Sangihe Talaud Customary Rules. Both 1917 and 1932 customary rules as well as the 1951 declaration stated that marriage is forbidden between people whose families are in a straight line up and down, cousins, and siblings. The maximum penalty is 5 years in prison. Therefore, the role of the Nedosa offense is very important in the customary law which is still respected and obeyed by the Sangihe Talaud community today. Nedosa's offense is wider than Zinah in the Criminal Code because this offense is related to religion and the perpetrator will be thrown into the sea.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide solutions to problems that exist in SMEs D.Sadewa Kenjeran Coast region in the process of cooling and storage of marine products is traditionally the process is still using ice as the cooler in the box (box) fish storage. The method used by using PEC in the box of fishes storage to produce stable temperature. The PEC box control system is equipped with Arduino and programmed with CX programmer. It is designed to accommodate 15kg of fish /process. The expected result is to improve the stability of the cooling process (below 100C), So the productivity of SMEs can be increased twice .

Abstract

The company that have been chosen by our company is YTL Corporation Berhad. YTL Corporation Berhad is an integrated infrastructure developer with extensive operations in countries including Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Japan, Jordan and China and total assets of RM70.4 billion (USD17.3 billion). Tan Sri Dato (DR) Francis Yeoh Sock Ping as the CEO, the core businesses of the YTL Group comprise utilities, construction contracting, cement manufacturing, property development and investment, hotel development and management, e-commerce initiatives and internet-based education solutions and services. Abstract

Recently, people's increasing interest in business has encouraged them to try their luck in it. The more similar businesses are established, the tighter competition in, especially for similar businesses. Company leaders must not be careless and need to continue to strive to keep the company remain superior and compete with other companies. To win the competition, the company must have a competitive advantage to continue to survive. One effort is focusing on the consumers by providing the experience that is felt from these contacts. Companies must be able to influence consumers by creating products or services that win over their heart. They will have unforgettable good memories; in exchange they will come back or make repeat purchases.

Abstract

This paper profoundly examines the tourism value chain for a strategic advantage. A descriptive method was conducted by surveys and in-depth interviews with stakeholders in Cikadu Edutourism, including businesses, SMEs, community people, academicians, and the media. The value chain components of edutourism value chain's development strategy were evaluated to construct a comprehensive chain. Our findings indicate that the proposed programs could give Cikadu Edutourism a competitive edge by enhancing the quality of life, increasing revenue as a product sold to visitors, and a range of other benefits.

Abstract

The market for economic activities is not only limited to Indonesia, but also international to become international business. One of the activities for market expansion is to export products to the international market. Koperasi SAE Pujon is the largest supplier of raw cow milk in East Java (98% of all East Java in 2018) which will be aimed at export planning for one of its products, Caramel Milk Candy. Caramel milk candy is a product made from milk and a caramel mixture compacted into candy. The planned export of caramel milk candy will be aimed at one of the countries with the highest population in the world, namely China (1.386 billion people in 2018) while taking advantage of the opportunity that the Chinese government issued a policy of reducing import duties (17.3% to 7.7%) . The concept of marketing strategies utilizes the ability of cooperative relations with other institutions to assist cooperatives in promoting their products, and cooperatives as vendors. The process of shipping goods through international shipping services that has an export license for goods to be exported such as DHL, Pos Indonesia, etc., but the cost will be cheaper if the calculation based on container, not per kilograms, except for sending product samples to importers . Recruitment process for adding more workers to support production and something else that make the product marketed, will be carried out as needed. Financial Capital is done in two ways, credit to banks or using savings or cooperative cash.
