Abstract

PT. UNIKACA PROBANA (a disguised name) developed an auto-tracker for project management called MANTRA, as pioneer in digital supply chain transformation journey. MANTRA is a digitized innovation planning tool to automate master data management and packaging material development in single touch point. MANTRA is expected to help business by providing analytics and insights for better decision making. MANTRA’s utilization rate is still not optimized yet – 63% up to October 2019. This becomes the biggest challenge to be unlocked. Research goal is to help finding root causes and suggested actions for this tool to become more beneficial to users. This research uses qualitative methodology, with data and information collected using direct observation and interviewing nine respondents from three different clusters. Interview result are reflected through mind-mapping and narrowed into two factors: core technical capabilities and non-technical aspects. Several actions for utilization rate improvement are by introducing change-agent, distributing performance report, and transforming MANTRA from a “bychoice” to “must-use” tool. Final section concludes a diagnostic framework that can be utilized to implement digitization in supply chain environment. Keywords: digital supply chain, challenge, utilization rate, improvement, framework

Abstract

Papua is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has enormous agricultural potential because it has very large areas of land. Most of Papua's population works in agriculture. Even though the agricultural sector is still the basis of hope for the majority of the population, its contribution to GRDP is less than 25 percent. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out an analysis to determine the agricultural potential that exists in each regency/city in Papua Province and the basis and non basis agricultural sectors that exist in each regency/city in Papua Province. The analytical methods used in this research are Shift-Share and Location Quotient. The results of the Shift-Share analysis, seen from the total value (Shift Share) of the Agricultural sector in all Regencies/Cities in Papua Province, is positive, which means that the growth of the sector is progressive and has the potential to be developed. Based on the results of the LQ analysis, there are 27 regencies included in the basis sector, which means that these regency have a surplus in their agricultural sector and can meet the needs of their region and other regions. On the other hand, Mimika Regency and Jayapura City are included in the non-base sector.

Abstract

This study focuses on the role of corporate governance in mediating the relationship between the public sector, specifically government-owned hospitals, and financial performance during the COVID-19 pandemic. While there is existing research on corporate governance, there is limited attention given to the public sector and government hospitals in the context of the pandemic. The study highlights government hospitals as they are on the front lines of healthcare services during the pandemic and have experienced a significant influx of patients, particularly in COVID-19 referral hospitals. This has created financial challenges for hospitals, with increased workloads and disrupted cash flows. The objective of this study is to determine the extent to which corporate governance can help manage the financial difficulties faced by government hospitals during the pandemic. The findings of this research are expected to provide valuable insights for the government and hospital managers, aiding in the improvement of corporate governance and financial performance during emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study explores the enhancement of Supply Chain Management (SCM) efficiency in the Philippines' modular construction sector through Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). It highlights the critical alignment of SCM success factors with IPD principles, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in modular construction projects. The application of IPD addresses challenges like high initial costs and skilled labor demands, offering a promising strategy for advancing construction methodologies in emerging markets. Quantitative analysis via surveys among modular construction professionals assesses IPD's impact on SCM efficiency, uncovering a positive correlation between IPD adoption and compliance with SCM success factors, particularly in larger organizations. This reveals the benefits of early collaboration and shared management practices. The research proposes a comprehensive framework tailored to the Philippine construction industry to optimize SCM efficiency by integrating modular construction with IPD principles. This strategy aims to tackle unique organizational and individual challenges, offering insights for improving SCM practices through IPD. The study paves the way for superior project delivery in developing economies and calls for future research into IPD and SCM risks, the influence of organizational structures, and the role of emerging technologies and cultural factors in modular construction. Keywords: Critical Success Factors, Implementation Framework, Integrated Project Delivery, Modular Construction, Supply Chain Management
