Abstract

The environment and natural resources are inputs in economic activities that have an impact on economic growth. On the other hand, economic activity can cause economic externalities. One form of environmental pollution is water pollution. Water pollution is a change in conditions in a water reservoir such as lakes, rivers, oceans and groundwater due to human activities. WHO (2019) globally, 15% of patients experience disease infections due to polluted water? Furthermore, WHO (2019) stated that around 829,000 people are estimated to die every year due to diarrhea and of them 297,000 children under 5 years old die from consuming unhealthy drinking water. The purpose of this study was to analyze water pollution in the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Indonesia. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, the selection of this method aims to analyze the situation descriptively about the water quality index in DIY. The results showed that the water quality index of the Special Region of Yogyakarta was 38.43 or entered the alert category. The rivers in DIY in 2019 that have an alert category are Gajahwong, Kuning, Conteng, Belik, and Bulus. The policy implication that can be done is tightening the regulation of river functions.

Abstract

Organizational commitment can be seen from various aspects related as individuals to the organization based on salary, social status and preferences for their work. This study aims to find causal relationships between variables (work motivation, perceived coworker support on organizational commitment). This study used 158 employee at HRD & Management Agency in Indonesia. The results show that work motivation has a significant and positive effect on organizational commitment by 0.462. Perceived coworker support also has a significant and positive effect on organizational commitment by 0.387. HRD & Management Agency in Indonesia must provide work motivation to employees because it has a greater influence than perceived coworker support on increasing organizational commitment.

Abstract

Long-term research objectives are new forms of innovation or models in financial management to realize good governance and accountability for financial performance at Manado State University. Demands for the management of public finance freely are the main problems that cannot be relied upon in clean government and good financial management (good governance) is an efficient, efficient and transparent financial capability. and accountable. In financial management the university work unit has been discussed in Law Number 17 of 2003 concerning State Finance and Government Regulation No. 39 of 2007 concerning Management of State Money. To find out how financial governance and financial performance accountability, can be used by using standard operating procedures, so that implementers can be used to facilitate, efficiently, transparently and accountably. This study aims to design a model or standard of financial procedures, as well as to measure the performance of financial management and accountability for financial performance at Manado State University. The plan of the research activity is to design a model or standard operating procedure in order to find out the results of institutional financial management and accountability of financial performance at Manado State University, so as to produce a product System or Operational Standards Procedures that can be directly carried out by the finance department executors. Abstract

The increasing need for consumer goods can cause the sectors of consumer goods are trying to increase their production activity which is supported by the firm's performance. It gives a signal of the high level of cash flow in the future and as a positive signal to creditors as an indication of the firm's sales growth. The purpose of this research is to test the validity of trade-off theory and resource-based view theory. In addition, this study aims to determine the direct effect and indirect effect between firm size on sales growth through capital structure. The sample used in this study are the sixteen companies for three years and those were tested by using path analysis and uses a quantitative research approach. The results of this study prove that firm size has a significant positive effect on sales growth through capital structure, which is proven based on the comparison of the indirect effect with the direct effect. This study aims to determine the direct effect and indirect effect between firm size on sales growth through capital structure. The sample used in this study is sixteen consumer goods sector companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange throughout 2016-2018. Sixteen companies were tested using path analysis. The result of this study shows that firm size has a significant positive effect on sales growth through capital structure, which is proven based on the comparison of the indirect effect with the direct effect.

Abstract

Advertising is one form of integrated marketing communication where trust is an important factor in it. Advertising is one form of communication, and in general there are various factors that influence the delivery of information from one party to another in communication. Factors such as trust are very important in communicating products, so it is important for companies to find out how much trust of the customers to their products. This study aims to analyze the differences in advertising trust (consumer trust) on the advertising media used. The media studied in this research are social media and video advertising. The main objective of this research is to find out which platform is more reliable so that the company can save the budget and the company invests effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Layout should be considered in the field of business, the application of a good layout system, there are many benefits and influence on consumers.For example in Haikou, China. There is a center of souvenirbased coconut. The self-applied Lay Out is very unique and rarely used by the Gift Souvenir Center in Indonesia. They set the layout of the free flow pattern but made like a snake path, so consumers would not want to follow the path so that consumers also indirectly see their other products of various kinds. It is very good to attract the attention of consumers and there are products that are discounted again but placed in different places when the product is the same as the one placed at the beginning. Abstract

The main purpose of the entity is to increase the value of the entity itself. The increase in the value of the entity is of course also directly proportional to the increase in the performance of an entity. One of the values of a company can be seen from its financial performance. The goal of this research is to find out the effect of leverage, corporate social responsibility (CSR), capital structure, and intellectual capital on financial performance of companies. The sample consisted of 67 respondents which are listed in the Kompas 100 Index for the period 2017 - 2019. In this research, purposive sampling was used to select the sample. To analyze the data, researchers were using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that intellectual capital and leverage both affect company’s financial performance. On the other hand, capital structure and CSR have no effect on company’s financial performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine what factors affect the performance of employees (private companies in the city of Medan). The population in this study were all employees in the city of Medan. The research method used is descriptive quantitative using factor analysis techniques. Where the results of the study stated that there are four dominant factors that influence employee performance decisions, namely employee development, compensation, motivation, and work environment.

Abstract

This study involves in depth research in the various aspects of the solid waste management which includes studying waste generation its classification and further focusing mainly on solid waste. The management of the waste has been an issue for every country as the increase in population has also led to the increase in the waste generation. Managing of this waste has been an issue of concern for all the countries across the globe. Out of the many sorts solid waste is one of the major contributors in the category of wastes and managing it is a task. This study presents a comprehensive review of literature of solid waste management and best practices adopted in various countries for the issue. The paper also discusses at length strategy implemented in various parts of India keeping in mind the diversity and a variety of factors. Additionally, the existing legislations and norms were studied according to which the areas of improvements and the future scope are suggested. Keywords: Solid waste, management, legislations.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze service quality and price on customer experience and switching intention in hotel services in Bali. The study is an explanatory research about the influence of two independent variables service quality and price to the intervening variable customer experience, and its affect to switching intention as a dependent variable. Population and sampling using purposive sampling technique on 204 hotel customers in Bali. The primary data was taken from the questionnaire distribution  and processed using the path analysis method. The results showed that the variables of service quality and price affect the customer experience of hotel service customers in Bali; service quality and customer experience variables affect switching intention in a negative direction, but the price variable can not influence the switching intention of hotel service users in Bali.
