EKONOMIKA SYARIAH: Journal of Economic Studies is a journal that publishes research results related to the themes of economics, finance, and Islamic banking. It also provides an important role in promoting the process of knowledge, values and skills. Scientific texts that discuss the topics of economics, finance and Islamic banking are highly expected to be presented. Interdisciplinary approaches to Islamic studies are used as instruments to overcome and solve Islamic economic, financial and banking problems. The editorial team invited researchers, scholars, and Islamic studies and economic observers to submit research articles that had never been published in other media or journals. Ekonomika Syariah is published twice a year, in June and December. The editorial team received the research article, typed 1.15 cm in space on A4 paper, double column, 15-20 pages long or 7000 to 9000 words. Every article published has gone through a peer-review process to maintain the quality of the publication.

Abstract

Lembaga filantropi mengupayakan pemberdayaan ekonomi bagi para mustahik, salah satunya dengan mendukung usaha mustahik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran lembaga filantropi Islam dalam mempercepat program sertifikasi halal gratis pada sektor makanan dan minuman berskala mikro, kecil, dan menengah di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan deskriptif analisis melalui berbagai sumber sekunder seperti artikel penelitian, buku, laporan, website resmi dan sumber lain yang berkaitan dengan lembaga zakat dan wakaf serta sertifikasi halal bagi UMKM. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa lembaga filantropi Islam seperti lembaga zakat dan wakaf di Indonesia memiliki peran signifikan terhadap percepatan program sertifikasi halal gratis (SEHATI) bagi UMKM. Hal ini karena UMKM sangat dekat dan sudah dibina langsung oleh lembaga filantropi Islam tersebut, sehingga tingkat kepercayaan untuk melakukan sertifikasi halal sudah terpenuhi. Lembaga filantropi Islam dapat menggerakkan sertifikasi halal melalui proses pendampingan yang dilakukan secara rutin melalui program pemberdayaan UMKM terutama bagi para mustahik.Philanthropic institutions strive for economic empowerment for Mustahik, one of which is by supporting Mustahik businesses. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic philanthropic institutions in accelerating the free halal certification programme in the micro, small, and medium-scale food and beverage sector in Indonesia. The research method used is qualitative research with descriptive analysis through various secondary sources such as research articles, books, reports, official websites, and other sources related to zakat and waqf institutions and halal certification for MSMEs. This research shows that Islamic philanthropic institutions such as zakat and waqf institutions in Indonesia have a significant role in accelerating the free halal certification programme (SEHATI) for MSMEs. This is because MSMEs are very close and have been directly fostered by the Islamic philanthropic institution, so the level of trust to carry out halal certification has been fulfilled. Islamic philanthropic institutions can promote halal certification through a mentoring process that is carried out routinely through MSME empowerment programmes, especially for mustahik.

Abstract

Lembaga keuangan perbankan di Indonesia mengalami transformasi digital yang pesat namun tingkat penerimaan Masyarakat masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan dampak variabel religiusitas, keamanan fintech, dan citra merek terhadap keputusan nasabah untuk menyimpan uang di bank digital syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner atau angket, melibatkan 100 responden yang dipilih berdasarkan perhitungan lemeshow. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah uji validitas, reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, uji regresi linier berganda dan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS 24 untuk menganalisis data penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial variabel keamanan fintech dan citra merek memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan (Sig. <0,005) terhadap keputusan nasabah untuk menabung di bank digital syariah, sementara variabel religiusitas tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan (Sig. >0,005) terhadap keputusan nasabah untuk menabung di bank digital syariah. Temuan ini mendorong penelitian selanjutnya untuk mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor lain yang dapat memengaruhi keputusan nasabah dalam menggunakan layanan bank digital syariah. Sehingga mampu menjadi bahan evaluasi bagi industri bank digital syariah dalam meningkatkan pangsa pasar.The banking and financial institutions in Indonesia have undergone rapid digital transformation; however, the level of public acceptance remains relatively low. This research aims to elucidate the impact of religiosity, fintech security, and brand image variables on customers' decisions to deposit money in Islamic digital banks. The study employs primary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires, involving 100 respondents selected based on the Leveshow calculation. The analytical methods utilised include validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing, all conducted using SPSS 24 software for data analysis. The results of the study indicate that, partially, fintech security and brand image variables exert a significant influence (Sig. <0.005) on customers' decisions to deposit money in Islamic digital banks. Meanwhile, the religiosity variable does not have a significant impact (Sig. >0.005) on customers' decisions to deposit money in Islamic digital banks. These findings propel further research to explore other factors that may influence customers' decisions to utilise Islamic digital bank services. Thus, it can serve as evaluative material for the Islamic digital banking industry to enhance market share

Abstract

Saat ini, pasar modal syariah berkembang semakin pesat. Hal ini ditandai dengan munculnya berbagai indeks saham syariah termasuk Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Pasar modal  adalah lembaga keuangan yang berkontribusi dalam pengelolaan dana investasi, serta menjadi penggerak utama dalam sistem ekonomi. Namun, pasar modal syariah dalam beberapa dekade terakhir menunjukkan pergerakan yang fluktuatif, diduga ada faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pergerakannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pergerakan Jakarta Islamic Index. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan data time series tahun 2009-2021. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah ekonomi makro yang terdiri dari  inflasi (INF), Indeks Produksi Industri (IPI), BI Rate, nilai tukar, dan Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan Indonesia (IHSG) sedangkan variabel dependennya adalah Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umum, dalam jangka pendek, pergerakan Indeks Saham Syariah yaitu Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) tidak banyak dipengaruhi oleh variabel makroekonomi. Sementara itu, dalam jangka panjang, pergerakan indeks saham syariah di Indonesia dipengaruhi oleh variabel makroekonomi.Currently, the Islamic capital market is growing rapidly. This is marked by the emergence of various Islamic stock indices, including the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). The capital market is a financial institution that contributes to the management of investment funds as well as being the main driving force in the economic system. However, the Islamic capital market in recent decades has shown fluctuating movements; allegedly, some factors affect its movement. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that influence the movement of the Jakarta Islamic Index. The method used in this study is quantitative-descriptive with time series data from 2009 to 2021. The independent variable in this study is macroeconomics, consisting of inflation (INF), industrial production index (IPI), BI rate, exchange rate, and Indonesia Composite Stock Price Index (ICI), while the dependent variable is the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). The analysis tool used in this study is the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). The results of this study show that, in general, in the short term, the movement of the Sharia Stock Index, namely the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), is not much influenced by macroeconomic variables. Meanwhile, in the long run, the movement of Islamic stock indices in Indonesia is influenced by macroeconomic variables.

Abstract

Studi ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh religiusitas, pengetahuan tentang zakat dan penggunaan media sosial terhadap minat muslim millenial terdidik untuk membayar zakat. Metode studi yang digunakan adalah penelitian korelasional (correlation research) dengan jumlah total responden sebanyak 222 orang yang merupakan mahasiswa dari Fakultas Ekonomi Bisnis Islam dari 3 (tiga) Perguruan Tinggi Islam Negeri di Sumatera Barat. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner, lalu dianalisis dengan metode Partial Least Square Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS 4. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa religiusitas mempengaruhi minat untuk membayar zakat. Pengetahuan zakat mempengaruhi minat membayar zakat. Media sosial tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap minat membayar zakat dengan arah hubungan positif. Studi ini merekomendasikan strategi untuk meningkatkan minat membayar zakat dari generasi muslim millenial terdidik dengan cara memperhatikan tingkat religiusitas dan pengetahuan zakat serta informasi zakat yang tersedia pada media sosial generasi millenial muslim terdidikThis study was conducted to analyse the influence of religiosity, knowledge about zakat, and the use of social media on the interest of educated millennial Muslims to pay zakat. The study method used is correlation research with a total of 222 respondents who are students from the Faculty of Islamic Business Economics from three (three) state Islamic universities in West Sumatra. The data collection method was carried out by distributing questionnaires, which were then analysed by the partial least squares equation modelling (PLS-SEM) method using the SmartPLS 4 application. The results found that religiosity affects interest in paying zakat. Zakat knowledge affects the interest in paying zakat. Social media does not influence interest in paying zakat with a positive relationship direction. This study recommends strategies to increase the interest in paying zakat of the educated millennial Muslim generation by paying attention to their level of religiosity and zakat knowledge, as well as the zakat information available on social media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the performance of employees at Bank NTB Syariah Praya Branch. This research is a quantitative study using primary data obtained from distributing questionnaires. The research sample consisted of 30 respondents consisting of NTB Syariah bank employees at the Praya branch. Methods of data analysis in this study using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that partially and simultaneously the variables of organizational culture, motivation and compensation have a significant positive effect on the employee performance of Bank NTB Syariah Praya Branch. Then the coefficient of determination was 81.1%. This means that the independent variable is able to explain the dependent variable by 81.1%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhiikinerja karyawan pada Bank NTB Syariah Cabang Praya.Penelitian ini termasuk penelitiannkuantitatif yang menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh dari penyebarannkuesioner. Sampel penelitiannsebanyak 30 responden yang terdiri dari karyawan bank NTB Syariah cabang praya. Metode analisis data dalammpenelitian ini menggunakan regresi linierberganda dengan bantuan software SPSS.Hasil penelitiannmenunjukkan bahwa secara parsial dan simultan variabel budaya organisasi, motivasi dan kompensasi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan Bank NTB Syariah Cabang Praya. Kemudian nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 81,1%. Hal ini berarti bahwa variabel bebas mampuumenjelaskan variabellterikat sebesar 81,1%.

Abstract

The concept of good corporate governance (GCG) is based on agency theory which is expected to reduce conflicts of interest between agents and principals that can occur in every company, including sharia banks. This situation was realized by the Bank of Indonesia, which then issued a policy that emphasized the need for applying GCG in Bank Indonesia Regulation, namely PBI Number 11/33/PBI/2009. This study examines the effect of applying GCG on profitability and financing risk at the Sharia Commercial Bank in Indonesia. The application of GCG is measured using a composite value self-assessment GCG. Profitability is measured by the ratio of ROA and ROE, while the ratio of NPF measures financing risk. This study uses secondary data, namely annual and GCG implementation reports from 2010 to 2019, published on each official website of Sharia Commercial Bank. Based on the purposive sampling method, 8 of Sharia Commercial Bank ware sampled in this study with a total of 80 observations. Data analysis techniques use panel data regression analysis. The results showed that the application of GCG had a negative and significant effect on profitability measured by ROA and ROE ratios and had a significant positive effect on financing risk measured by the NPF ratio.

Abstract

Sharia Commercial Banks not only function as intermediary institutions that collect and distribute public funds. Currently, Sharia Commercial Banks is one milestone used by the government in increasing the potential of the developing sharia economy in Indonesia. This thing, of course, will make Sharia Commercial Banks must develop their performance to be better. To monitor the performance, the profitability ratio that is impacted by various factors is used. This study is conducted to know the impact of capital adequacy, liquidity, credit risks, and operational efficiency on Sharia Commercial Banks profitability. liquidity and operational efficiency variables have a significant negative impact. Capital adequacy have a significant positive impact. Whereas NPF has an insignificant positive impact on Sharia Commercial Banks profitability. Bank Umum Syariah tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai lembaga intermediasi yang menghimpun dan menyalurkan dana masyarakat. Saat ini Bank Umum Syariah merupakan salah satu tonggak yang digunakan oleh pemerintah untuk meningkatkan potensi ekonomi syariah yang sedang berkembang di Indonesia. Tentunya, hal tersebut membuat Bank Umum Syariah harus meningkatkan kinerjanya menjadi lebih baik lagi. Sehingga untuk memantau kinerja tersebut, digunakan rasio profitabilitas yang dipengaruhi berbagai faktor. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecukupan modal, likuiditas, risiko kredit dan efisiensi operasional terhadap profitabilitas Bank Umum Syariah. Data yang digunakan adalah statistik bulanan Bank Umum Syariah periode Januari 2015 – Desember 2020 yang dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa liquiditas dan efisiensi operasional berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap profitabilitas Bank Umum Syariah. Kecukupan modal berpengaruh positif signifikan. Sedangkan NPF berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap profitabilitas Bank Umum Syariah.

Abstract

Halal is present as a form of demand from consumers for the safety and health of the products consumed. Producers must capture the trend of this consumer behavior model as a business opportunity. So, all producers through the Law on Halal Product Guarantee No.33 of 2014, whether they understand it or not. From this, it is necessary to analyze the relationship between producer religiosity as a basis for making decisions on halal certification and the producer's knowledge and understanding regarding halal products. This study also aims to explore the relationship between religiosity, producer knowledge and understanding of halal products on certification decisions. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type. The results of this study state that if the variables of religiosity, producer knowledge and understanding of halal products are tested partially, they have no relationship with halal certification decisions by producers, but once these three variables are tested simultaneously have an impact on halal certification decisions by producers. It means that producers deciding on halal certification are not impacted by the level of religiosity, producer knowledge and understanding of halal products they have.

Abstract

Since 2018, the youth and the people of Banto Royo Village, Koto Tangah, have developed several tourism destinations in their area. This village has many potential tourism objects with charm and uniqueness, so many visitors from inside and outside the area enjoy it. Increased visits increase regional income, which returns for social purposes. This research is descriptive qualitative, and data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation and is supported by relevant written materials such as books, research, and journals. This study aims to describe the economic advantages of local wisdom-based tourism and its prospects in Banto Royo Village. The results showed that Banto Royo, a tourist destination, has many advantages and uniqueness. In addition to its beautiful scenery, it offers unique and halal culinary delights, a family arena, community friendliness, courtesy, and adequate facilities. The community has a role in participating in carrying out tourism activities by maintaining their local traditions and wisdom. The government and the community are committed to increasing the potential and attractiveness of tourism and improving the community's economy through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

In Indonesia, the zakat management agency is known as the Amil Zakat Infaq and Sadaqah Institutions (LAZIS), which have functional and professional management systems. This model institution is formed to aim that the well-ordinated zakat's results will achieve optimal and effective results. This research analyzes the role of LAZISNU in improving the economy of Nahdliyah residents in the metro city how the influence of the LAZISNU program on Harokah Nahdliyah in Metro City, and whether LAZISNU and the economy of citizens affected Harakah Nahdliyah in Metro City. This research method uses quantitative research, and this research data source uses primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. Research findings reveal that LAZISNU positively affects harakah nadliyah in Metro City. The citizens' economy positively influences Harakah Nahdliyah in Metro City. LAZISNU and the Citizens' Economy positively influence Harakah Nahdliyah in Metro City. Based on the results of tests that have been carried out, it can be known that the economic variables of citizens are the dominant variables against Harakah Nahdliyah. The results of this study are expected to provide a solution to the strategy empower people through zakat, infaq, and sadaqah. Di Indonesia lembaga pengelola zakat dikenal dengan Lembaga Amil Zakat Infaq dan Sadaqah (LAZIS) yang memiliki sistem manajemen fungsional dan profesional. Lembaga model seperti ini dibentuk dengan tujuan agar hasil zakat yang dikordinir dengan matang akan mencapai hasil yang optimal dan efektif.  Penelitian ini menganalisis tentang peran LAZISNU dalam meningkatkan perekonomian warga Nahdliyah di kota metro, bagaimana pengaruh program LAZISNU terhadap Harokah Nahdliyah di Kota Metro, dan apakah LAZISNU dan perekonomian warga berpengaruh terhadap Harakah Nahdliyah di Kota Metro. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini menggunakan sumber data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumetasi. Temuan penelitian mengungkap bahwa LAZISNU berpengaruh positif terhadap harakah nadliyah di Kota Metro. Ekonomi warga terdapat pengaruh positif terhadap Harakah Nahdliyah di Kota Metro. LAZISNU dan Ekonomi Warga berpengaruh positif terhadap Harakah Nahdliyah di Kota Metro. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa variabel ekonomi warga adalah variabel yang dominan terhadap Harakah Nahdliyah. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan solusi terhadap strategi memberdayakan umat melalui zakat, infaq, dan sedekah.Â
