Abstract

In the daily activities of students in Indonesia, they require the use of bags to carry school books. There are various types of bags nowadays, one of which is often used is the backpack model. Every day teaching and learning activities are very busy, resulting in students bringing various school necessities. For example, textbooks, changes to school clothes, extra-curricular activities and so on, so that the backpack carried by each student becomes heavy or excessively burdened. This is something that students carry with them every day and especially for students aged 10-15 years, where this age is the golden period for growth and development and will have an influence on the formation of body posture. If the student's knowledge is lacking, this will result in asymmetry in body posture, and if left untreated, this will result in back pain and sceliosis. Methods Respondents were taken randomly as many as 78 students from a total of 225 students. Respondents were given a pretest before the counseling and a posttest after the counseling, then a presentation of the student's knowledge level was produced. Results and Discussion There was a significant increase after education was held for students, namely before the education was carried out there was a visible increase of 5%. Conclusion There is an increase in educational knowledge about the habit of using heavy backpacks on body posture and malocclusion at SMPN 56 Surabaya.

Abstract

Childbirth is a physiological process and is an amazing event for a mother and family. Preparation for childbirth is the most important part of the birthing process which aims to improve the mother's health optimally before delivery. In the first stage of labor (cervical opening phase) the family helps prepare the menstrual position. If there is a feeling of wanting to bear and strong contractions occur, help the mother into a half-sitting position or other desired position and make sure the mother feels comfortable. This activity was carried out on December 16 2023, in Salemba Village, Ujung Loe District. There were 8 pregnant women who attended. The methods used start from the preparation stage, implementation stage to evaluation stage. The result of PKM activities is that before education was carried out regarding birth positions, pregnant women only knew 2 birth positions. However, after being given education, pregnant women know the various birthing positions according to the explanation given during the PKM activities

Abstract

Chronic energy deficiency (CED) occurs in people who suffer from protein and energy deficiencies during pregnancy. Based on data from the World Health Organization, it is currently estimated that there are 32 million pregnant women worldwide experiencing nutritional problems, meanwhile, the prevalence of CED pregnant women in Indonesia is currently quite high. The impact of Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) on mothers causes the risk of complications such as anemia, bleeding, complications of childbirth, and fatigue, various factors that can cause CED problems in pregnant women include the lack of knowledge of pregnant women about CED. Due to the lack of knowledge about the nutrition of pregnant women, it can result in a lack of nutritious food during pregnancy. This problem is the background for community service activities regarding counseling on chronic energy and nutritional deficiencies in pregnant women with the aim of this mentoring service to increase mothers' knowledge about chronic energy and nutritional deficiencies in pregnant women. The method with communicative information techniques and using 3 approaches, namely observation, counseling and evaluation, the target in this activity is 17 pregnant women. The results showed that before being given counseling, only 4 people (24%) had good knowledge, after being given counseling, the category of good knowledge increased to 13 people (81%). So it can be concluded that there was an increase in the knowledge of pregnant women about KEK before and after being given counseling.
