Abstract

This study aims to develop an understanding of Jeffrey Jouw’s (Jejouw) entrepreneurial journey in establishing USS Network as a business ecosystem within the creative industry through a narrative analysis approach. The research adopts a qualitative method, using data from YouTube podcast episodes, with verbatim interview transcripts as the primary data. Opportunity-driven entrepreneurship and effectuation theory are used as conceptual and theoretical frameworks. The findings reveal that Jejouw’s decision to become an entrepreneur was driven by both recognized and unrecognized opportunities shaped by early family experiences, as well as a conscious initiative to start a small-scale business. His entrepreneurial journey aligns closely with the dimensions of effectuation theory, namely bird-in-hand, affordable loss, crazy quilt, lemonade, and pilot-in-the-plane.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between work stress, workload, and job embeddedness among Generation Z employees in creative media companies in Cirebon. Grounded in the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) framework, the study addresses the limited evidence regarding employee attachment within regional creative media organizations. A quantitative associative approach was employed using data collected from 100 Generation Z employees through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that work stress has a positive but insignificant relationship with job embeddedness, while workload has a positive and significant relationship with job embeddedness. Simultaneously, work stress and workload significantly influence job embeddedness. These results suggest that Generation Z employees in creative media organizations tend to perceive workload as a challenge that supports learning and professional growth rather than merely as a job demand.

Abstract

Distressed organizations face heightened operational failures due to uncertainty, resource pressure, and limited upward communication. This study aims to examine the relationship between psychological safety, employee voice, and operational failure mitigation in human resource management. A quantitative survey design was employed by collecting questionnaire data from 156 employees in organizations experiencing performance distress, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings show that psychological safety significantly strengthens employee voice, while employee voice contributes to the early identification and reduction of operational failures. Psychological safety also supports failure mitigation through open reporting and constructive feedback. This study contributes to human resource management theory by linking socio-psychological work climate with operational resilience and offers practical guidance for improving failure prevention in distressed organizations.

Abstract

This study examines the role of firm size in moderating the effect of liquidity, Leverage, and profitability on firm value in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2015–2024. A quantitative approach was applied using secondary data from annual financial statements. The analytical methods included panel data regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results indicate that Leverage significantly affects firm value, while liquidity and profitability have no significant effect. Simultaneously, liquidity, Leverage, and profitability significantly influence firm value. Firm size strengthens the effect of Leverage on firm value, but does not moderate the effects of liquidity and profitability. These findings imply that capital structure remains an important determinant of firm value in the energy sector.

The findings of the study show that the Dividend Policy is not significantly affected by the Current Ratio and Liquidity, while the Dividend Policy is significantly affected by the Debt to Equity Ratio. Dividend Policy is significantly affected together by the Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Liquidity. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.239 shows that independent variables can visualize the Dividend Policy of 23.9%, while the rest are influenced by other variables outside the study.

Abstract

This study analyzes audience responses to the large outdoor billboard promotion of the film Aku Harus Mati, which triggered public discussion on Threads. Using qualitative content analysis with thematic coding, this study examines 98 public comments from two Threads posts by @dr.piprim and @dr.bobbyjantung. The findings indicate that audience responses were dominated by discomfort, perceptions of psychological triggering, ethical criticism, concern for children and vulnerable groups, negative virality, and calls for rejection. The study argues that high digital engagement does not always indicate promotional effectiveness, especially when public attention is accompanied by moral criticism and reputational risk. The findings contribute to discussions on shock advertising, advertising ethics, and audience reception in digital marketing communication.
